Yes he did, he learned the identity of the confirmed dead Detective Vicky Armel and made a press confrence to announce the death of a female detective at Sully station. He never consulted withthe chief to see if her husband had been notified and since she was the only female detective at the station he found out about his wife’s murder on the radio driving to the station.

I expect that it is stage direction Patsy. Afterall, there ARE professional image makers available for hire by politicians and other public figures who are far too self-centered to be trusted to display a genuine emotion of their own.

Gerry Connolly showed his true self at 2nd Lt. Frank Stecco’s funeral on Thursday. He called and informed police planners that he would arrive late at Hylton Chapel and wanted them to hold the funeral for him! After arriving an hour late, and missing the entire religious portion of the funeral, he proceed to make an ass of himself by trying to jockey a poistion in the front row at the service. This was done during Supervisor Hyland’s remarks and in front of the entire assembly. The only reason he went to such obvious lengths to insult the family and the memory of Frank was to be positioned for the cameras during the funeral recessional. I am told he was asked to leave when he decided to campaign outside of the chapel.

WE deserve better than this buffoon!”

I was there and I saw this happen. It is a scene I will never forget, nor will the officers in attendance. Any police readers……remember Connolly used Vicky’s funeral to announce (without the family’s knowledge or consent) that Gabby was the other victim at Sully Station.

He uses a family and community tragedy to his own gain. It is like reading a stage direction: “look sympathic, hold head down-but angled so it can be photographed”.
