Wittman Wins In the 1st District

Returns show that Rob Wittman has retained his seat in the First District, beating Bill Day handily. Not much of a surprise, since he failed to unseat Delegate Scott Lingamfelter in the 31st District, which didn’t exactly demonstrate strong electoral support for him in a Congressional race.
Going forward, Wittman should be considered pretty secure in this district, even if Democrats nominate someone who isn’t a complete doofus.
