....My question is…how many of you would be truly be OK with the expansion of this program if there was no controversy about the money?

I will never be "o.k." with this. The controversy goes well beyond the money. The radicals which blow up people are only the distraction which allows the subversive actions of the movement go unnoticed. What is the movement you ask? Islamic rule of the world.

Wake up and look around. It was not a bomb strapped radical which led to the infiltration of Sharia law into various forms of law in many non Muslim nations such as the U.K. and others.

Family matters, banking institutions, and then suddenly it becomes a crime to even speak out about Islamic religion.

Any one who values liberty should not be willing to give an inch when it comes to Islamic influence in any aspect of American life.

I would be OK with this program if the funding hadn't come from a group affiliated with terrorists.

I remember 9-11 too well - being at work and a few blocks from the White House. My father was in the Pentagon that day. What I saw and experienced that day and the few days afterwards in DC has instilled a deep-seeded fear of terrorists and extremists.

Any group or person affiliated with terrorists needs to be removed from our society and our higher instititutions of learning. May they gain no purchase in the U.S.

I will have to do my own research on the funding for this program, but I whole-heartedly approve of the idea behind it. While I understand that people are fearful of terrorism, it is despicable that prejudice is encouraged against a respectable world religion. We are viewing Islam through a skewed lens if we only choose to view it as "extremist," and only choose to point out Muslim organizations/people who have committed terrorist acts.

I am a Christian, and I know that some of my fellow Christians have committed heinous acts over time in the name of their faith. However, I do not want my religion as a whole to be blamed for this, and so, I will afford others the same courtesy.

I applaud GMU for expanding the program, although it is important to be careful about how money ties you to certain organizations. I hope that they will be mindful about this, but it is a positive thing that they seek to increase knowledge, understanding, and awareness about Islam. That can only benefit us. Knowing GMU, I am sure that though this department will work from a perspective of respect for Islam, they will encourage discussion of differing viewpoints.

Don't forget that Ken Cuccinelli has taken a boatload of money from groups connected to SAAR as well. Money, especially political money, rules.

This country is being broken up and sold off to every foreign group that comes here for their own interests. Of course we can't complain, because that wouldn't be PC, or so the liberals believe.
