Yet More Illegal Alien Crime

By Greg L | 16 December 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Crime, Prince William County | 30 Comments

And yet again, another story of an illegal alien enriching our nation with the diversity they bring.  The victim in this case is a twenty four year old developmentally disabled woman.

At approximately 1 p.m. Monday, the police began investigating a rape that occurred at [Brayan Migdanio Bustillo] Fuentes’ address .  The investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the neighborhood when she passed the accused’s residence.

The accused, who knew the victim, coerced her to go with him and then raped her.  An illegal immigrant from Honduras, Fuentes has a scheduled court date of Feb. 10.

Have we had enough of this yet?  Do we really have so little crime in our community that we need illegal aliens to boost our crime statistics?  Our state and federal governments are doing little to get and keep illegal aliens out of our country.  One result is that too many of the illegal aliens that our government is pretty much ignoring are committing horrible crimes which shouldn’t be happening.  If our government would simply do the job they are duty-bound to perform, these crimes would not be happening.

The victims of these crimes are too often the most vulnerable among us.  They’re the 83 year old women who are burned to death in their own house, the four year old child who is sexually assaulted, and the ten year old girl who is raped in her bed early on a Sunday morning.  We can now add to that tragic list of victims a developmentally disabled woman.  This is like inviting hungry lions to attend a concert, and then claiming no responsibility for the inevitable carnage that ensues.  By refusing to address this issue in a meaningful and effective way, our state and federal governments share equal responsibility for these horrific tragedies along with the criminal illegal alien predators they effectively enable.

Perhaps we just need to re work the formula for all around success.

On one hand we have state and federal agencies fearful of looking like bullies by enforcing our existing immigration laws, so they do nothing. This has in turn led to a decline in the level of fear and respect the criminal element has for our legal and social systems.

Suppose we introduce a roving convention of “community civics instructors”, (otherwise known as a large angry mob of normally law abiding citizens).

These “instructors” would reintroduce the criminal element to the “civic minded” values of proper fear and respect for our legal and social systems. At the same time motivating our state and federal agencies to rush in and “rescue” the criminal element from the “civics instructors” and return them to their homeland, thereby elevating their status from ineffective “do nothings” to “heroes”.

I believe this could be what the former (pre collapse) Wall Street big boys would call a win-win situation

Not a sermon, just a hypothetical thought

These are the very same people Democrats want to give blanket back-door amnesty.

I find it difficult to believe Brayan Migdanio Bustillo Fuentes committed no crimes in Honduras or the US prior to this arrest. It wasn’t until a few years ago that illegals were even finger printed by Police for fear of being labeled Politically Incorrect Xenophobes, let alone entered into a database (as they do with legal residents). Add to this the numerous identities illegals use to fly under the radar, and it’s anyone’s guess how many other women were assaulted by Fuentes.

We are told only those who pass a background check will be granted “legalized status,” but no one has defined what this background check will entail. My greatest fear is it will be little more than a check mark on a form that they have committed no crimes.

ICE is overwhelmed and does not have the manpower or resources to adequately conduct millions of background and medical checks.

It is for these reasons, these checks are done in the applicant’s country of citizenship where manpower, resources and records are readily available to process visas.

Our Immigration System WORKS! Yes, it is a long and drawn out process. But the process is complicated to ensure people like Fuentes do not enter the country and put people at risk.

Allowing Democrats to implement a mass legalization will only unleash the hidden Fuentes’ into our communities with a license to commit (more) crimes.

    Pat,

You are correct. However, I think the majority of those calling for amnesty are Democrats. If not for Republicans in Congress the amnesty bill would have passed in 2006.

No, luckily there are laws in place that prohibit the mentally disabled from owning guns. However, nature has a way of working itself out…most folks who are mentally disabled are also gun control nuts who don’t want a gun in the first place! Works out great, doesn’t it!

The government does not care and more than likely they never will. The following story is indicative of why we have to know who these people are and their history:

    http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/4155249/

Fayetteville, N.C. — Cumberland County investigators arrested an illegal immigrant from Honduras in connection with the death of a 64-year-old woman Tuesday.

Julio Cesar Ramos, 45, who claims to be homeless and unemployed, is charged with beating Paulette Locklear outside her house Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators said Ramos had been deported at least a dozen times since 1989 but kept getting back into the U.S.

Locklear and her family befriended Ramos, and she even let him live in a small building behind her house, at 1213 Wilmington Highway, said her nephew, Jeremy Brewington.

“The family just helped him any way we could,” Brewington said. “He would come and help us work, and we would pay him. He’s just been sort of part of the family for a long time.”

Locklear called 911 for help Tuesday when Ramos became violent and started breaking windows in an attempt to get inside her house, according to authorities.

Deputies found Locklear’s body when they arrived at her house.

The state medical examiner’s office has not determined her cause of death, and authorities haven’t determined a motive for the slaying.

“We’re having trouble determining exactly what his name is because, during the times he was deported, he used several different aliases,” said Debbie Tanna, a spokeswoman for the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Brewington said his family was unaware Ramos had been deported so many times. He said it appeared the man was mentally challenged and was known to have a temper.

“We didn’t think he would do anything of this nature. We didn’t really see that in him,” he said. “He would get angry some times and would leave … for a while. (He) would come back, and we would take him in and help him any way we could.”

Ramos was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond, pending a court hearing at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

MVA Considers Requiring Legal Residence For Driver’s License

    Baltimore Examiner

    12-15-08

The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration is considering proposing legislation requiring that applicants for driver’s licenses prove they are legally living in Maryland, a move long championed by opponents of illegal immigration.

The move, now being discussed with the governor’s office, would reverse current practice that has led to hundreds of thousands of “out-of-country” applicants from all over the country to seek Maryland licenses.

Maryland is now the only state east of the Rocky Mountains that issues licenses without proof of “legal presence,” said MVA Administrator John Kuo.

“We’ve tried to keep out of the immigration debate,” Kuo said after an Annapolis hearing where he revealed the discussions in the Gov. Martin O’Malley administration.

But other states have tightened their restrictions, and “it has negative consequence on us.”

There is “a burgeoning problem” of licenses issued with foreign documents, Kuo said. Since 2006, about 300,000 appointments were set up for out-of-country applicants, and “the calls are coming from all regions of the country,” according to tracking by Verizon.

“We have escalating fraud issues,” Kuo said, and he would like to see the requirement changed even without the implementation of the federal Real ID Act that insists on proof of “legal presence” over the next decade.

Del. Ron George, R-Anne Arundel, drafted legislation to require legal presence the past two years, but the bills died in committee. He said it would be “awesome” if the administration would submit it own measure, but “I’m still putting my own bill in.”

“I know that John Kuo is on the same page with us,” George said. “I think the governor is starting to get the message.”

George said there are “ads in Spanish-language newspapers” touting the availability of Maryland driver’s licenses. “It has become more of a problem with every year,” the delegate said, increasing the numbers of illegal immigrants and increasing the demand for state social and health services.

“This is costing us a lot,” George said.

But Del. Victor Ramirez, D-Prince George’s, an advocate on immigration issues, said Kuo didn’t give the Joint Committee on Federal Relations enough reasons for his decision, and is looking for facts and figures from Kuo.

“Having licensed drivers makes it safer for all of us,” regardless of their immigration status, Ramirez said. He found it “kind of ironic” that this measure would be offered as Barack Obama takes office, since Obama has questioned the Real ID program, as has the secretary-designate of homeland security, Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano

With crimes like these being perpetuated in our backyards it’s easy to revile and target illegal aliens as a group and blame them for societal ills plaguing our community. As I’ve said many times before, they are just the manifestation of policies conceived and issued by politicians of both parties, encouraged and abetted by the employers of cheap labor.

Any sane person could anticipate that the influx of large numbers of impoverished people into our country by illegal means would result in crimes perpetrated against the citizens of the communities they infest. But their employers and those politicians anticipating their future votes are willing to sacrifice the safety and security of their current constituents for the benefits the politicians believe they will reap by allowing the invasion. The politicians and employers are assisted in this endeavor by those who cater to the illegals, i.e., the real estate agents who pander to them, the restauranteurs who cater to them, the clergy who minister to them, and the teachers who must be hired to teach their progeny. These are the people who deserve our wrath. Only traitors hire illegal aliens. Only traitors sell them houses. Only traitors lend them money. Only traitors register them to vote. Only traitors want to “internationalize” our state and nation. Those traitors are our true enemies. Deal with them and the illegals will disappear like rats deprived of their source of garbage.

Someone please tell me how this ends well…

    —-

I was wondering the same thing. Isn’t it coincidental that she arrived in the US from war torn Sudan, to get her mother-in-law’s blessing right about the time the babies were due to be born? Does anyone REALLY believe the woman’s family is going to work out a payment plan to pay her medical costs?

The WP reported that the cost to keep the babies in observation will be $1,050 per baby, per day - for an estimated 3 weeks. This is in addition to the other medical costs. As a guesstimate, the cost to the tax payers for this “heartwarming event” will be $250,000 easy.

    A couple questions:

Because she is visiting and plans to return with her babies, will they return to Sudan as 14th Amendment American citizens, or will they be citizens of their parents’ country?

After reading this story, does anyone really have to ask why we don’t have a national health care plan in our country?

Now, we have Rahm Emanuel returning to the West Wing to resume the same Anti-American, Anti-Constitutional, criminal behavior he demonstrated so effectively during the Clinton Administration. This Chicago professional crook forced the former INS commissioner into allowing huge numbers of criminal aliens, mostly Mexicans, into the USA to bolster Clinton’s electorate.

He will do it again. . . Americans will lose control of federal prosecutors with Obama’s appointments pending. Eventually, Obama will push the Federal court even further left.

Citizens need to be prepared to initiate tort actions. Citizens need to speak out. Citizens need to insist local elected officials stand up against leftwing political muscle eminating from Washington DC. Citizens need to embrace conservative values and stop GOP leaders from pandering to the “moderates.” And, citizens need to speak up against the coming tyrrany of the Left.

Let the US Constititution guide your thinking when the Obama Administration initiates the institutionalization of socialism in America.

OK, OK…..is it really true that we have a government, at both the state and national level, that supports their own personal political (votes) and/or economic (cheap labor) interests instead of the general public they are there to represent?

If that is in fact truth, we have the potential for a very, very dangerous situation, for in that environment, the general public may eventually tire of being ignored by government. We do not want that.

Anybody out there ever tried doing a background check in a Third World country where you have trouble even digging up a birth record and where criminal records, if they exist, often disappear in exchange for a pocket change bribe? Ridiculous! What a phoney bunch of B.S. that one is! About as potentially effective as trying to do the census in the hills of Northern California in 1850.

Maricopa County, Arizona is the best area in the country for reliable illegal alien crime statistics. The county sheriff, Joe Arpaio, has aggressively decided to combat illegal alien crime in his county. He has partnered with federal ICE through the 287 (g) program which trains local law enforcement personnel in determining and dealing with illegal aliens. He has a well staffed Triple I Unit (Illegal Immigrant Interdiction Unit).
The MCAO report from County Attorney Andrew Thomas features these startling numbers for prosecuted felony cases in Maricopa County, Arizona:

In 2007, illegal immigrants accounted for:

    10% of sex crimes convictions
    11% of murders convictions
    13% of stolen cars convictions
    13% of aggravated assaults convictions
17% of those sentenced for violent crimes
19% of those sentenced for property crimes
20% of those sentenced for felony DUI.
21% of crimes committed with weapons
34% of those sentenced for the manufacture, sale or transport of drugs
36% of those sentenced for kidnapping
    44% of forgeries
50% of those sentenced for crimes related to “chop shops”
    85% of false ID convictions
    96% of smuggling convictions

Illegal immigrants make up 19 percent of those convicted of crimes in Maricopa County and 21 percent of those in county jails.

Illegal immigrants only make up an estimated 9 percent of the county’s population.

It is estimated that each violent crime cost citizens $20,000, and each property crime cost citizens $4,363 per offense.
