The illegal alien who raped a four year old girl in her house on the 9500 block of Lomond Drive in March was sentenced to thirteen years in prison this week. After Julio Cesar Huaman-Usca completes his sentence, he will be deported. That deportation will come about fourteen years too late.

GMU Embraces The Terrorists
21 November 2008 | Virginia Politics, Prince William County | 8 Comments
George Mason University is expanding their new Islamic Studies Program according to the Washington Times, and to help finance that effort they turned to a rather unusual source: the terrorist-affiliated International Institute for Islamic Thought. I can’t say this comes as much of a surprise. Given that these IIIT folks have $1.5 million to dole […]

Don’t Let Gang Graffiti Fester
20 November 2008 | Crime, Prince William County | 12 Comments
A week ago some MS-13 graffiti showed up on Sudley Manor Drive. Today when the Crime Prevention Team of Help Save Manassas showed up to remove it, Surenos 13 had been by to add their “voice”, or more accurately to oppose the expansion of MS-13 turf into the townhouse complex near the Sudley Community Center. […]

Our Heroes Died For This?
20 November 2008 | National Politics, Patriotism | 45 Comments
This is an interesting look at some Obama voters and their basis for making the decision they made on election day. I see the mainstream media did an excellent job of making sure voters could make an informed decision at the polls, as usual. Don’t take this to mean […]

On a 7-1 vote this evening the Prince William Board of County Supervisors approved the Special Use Permit for a shooting range to operate at the former site of Shooter’s Paradise on Route One. The range will provide training support for local law enforcement, and even space for a police substation in addition to being […]

How Far We’ve Fallen
19 November 2008 | Prince William County | 11 Comments
It’s not that unusual to have teachers trying to prevent students from flashing gang signs, especially when the school is located in an area where there’s a lot of gang graffiti popping up. But what do we do when teachers are forced to do this with first graders?
Six year olds. Flashing gang signs. We’re in […]
Another Illegal Alien Drug Bust: More To Come?
18 November 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Crime, Prince William County | 5 Comments
Coming on the heels of a drug bust of an illegal alien reported a few days ago there’s yet another story in the Washington Times about four illegal aliens from the Manassas area being busted in Frederick County, Maryland with nearly a kilo of cocaine. The timing here is rather interesting.

Fairfax Turned Down By 287(g) Program
17 November 2008 | Fairfax County, Illegal Aliens, Crime | 17 Comments
After a rush of localities discovered the utility of deporting criminal illegal aliens rather than releasing them from jail after they served their sentences, Fairfax County Sheriff Stan Berry quietly applied to have Fairfax County participate in the Section 287(g) Program. Unfortunately, it appears that waiting has consequences, as Fairfax County won’t be accepted into […]

More Illegal Alien Crime
16 November 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Crime, Prince William County | 24 Comments
An illegal alien in Dale City going by the nickname “Mexicano” was arrested on drug distribution charges on October 7th, according to an article in this weekend’s DC Examiner. Police found a single ounce of cocaine when they arrested David Gutierrez Sandoval, but nabbed one of his “mules” with about a kilo. The alleged illegal […]

Scratch AT&T From Your List
16 November 2008 | Illegal Aliens, Manassas City | 19 Comments
This photo was taken at an AT&T cellular store in Manassas City across from Prince William Hospital, which apparently is interested in gaining as customers illegal aliens, who presumably are the only potential customers lacking identification or social security numbers. You’d think that after the mortgage industry learned just how bad an idea it is […]

More MS-13 Graffiti
16 November 2008 | Crime, Prince William County | 35 Comments
This week some MS-13 gang-bangers decided to vandalize my community as a means of marking their turf. Gang graffiti is visible from Sudley Manor Drive on multiple brick walls and privacy fences behind the town homes on Quail Run Lane extending all the way to Copeland Drive. Given that the Virginia State Police estimates […]

Frank Principi Helps Developer Lobbyists
12 November 2008 | Prince William County | 19 Comments
Have the developers in Prince William County found a new opportunity to influence elected officials in local Democrats? It sure looks that way, given this email that recently went out to residents in the 52st District:

Help Ken Cuccinelli
12 November 2008 | Virginia Politics | 15 Comments
While there has been a spate of Republicans who seem to act at times as anything but Republican (or conservatives for that matter) there are a few proven conservative candidates out there who are running and can use your support. One of them is Senator Ken Cuccinelli who is running for Attorney General. He needs […]
Firefox Is Not Beating Internet Explorer
11 November 2008 | Blogs | 7 Comments
J’s Notes is reporting that Firefox has overtaken Microsoft Internet Explorer in the latest round of the “browser war” (such as it is these days), although I haven’t seen it. It would be nice to see MSIE fade away, as it’s a pain to support since it doesn’t support industry standards, but tries to impose […]

Happy Veterans Day
11 November 2008 | Patriotism | 18 Comments
To all my fellow veterans, happy Veterans Day.
To those who might not remember why this day was chosen to honor those who served, on the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918, the guns finally fell silent in “The Great War” now known as World War One. This day was […]
Now He Tells Us…
10 November 2008 | Fairfax County, US Congress, Prince William County | 28 Comments
Less than one week after becoming Congressman-elect, Gerry Connolly is calling for a hike in the federal gas tax. I suppose he feels as a first-term Congressman he’s going to pull the weight necessary to earmark all this for the 11th District? Or does he feel its a good idea to get ahead of the […]
The Backbiting Must Stop
9 November 2008 | RPV | 39 Comments
One GOP unit Chairman for Greenville-Emporia (total population about the size of Manassas Park, VA) has called on RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick To resign, prompting “The Contemporary Conservative” to post Carla Harris’ letter underneath a post title that alleges that GOP Chairmen are calling for RPV Chairman Jeff Frederick to resign. If one obscure unit […]

Naïve No More

I have no pretense about my skills as a writer but after Tuesday’s defeat for the Republican Party, I attempted to put down what bothered me about the election. It was a interesting experience and now have a little better understand what needs to be done next.
For whatever it is worth I’ll share those thoughts […]
