Hey, the Politicians need to tell where all the jobs are that Americans will not do. Could it be they are all taken by the invading horde of Illegal Aliens with free medical, schooling for their many spawn, jail cells and billions in Welfare paid for by the Americans jobs that have not been outsource or in sourced by the Politicians yet? That too will change until we are an third world nation and can compete with Mexico, India, China etc. that is what most of our politicians including OBAMA are working for!

"Thank the good Lord that he will not run for re-election."

Don't celebrate too quickly if the Republican Party is foolish enough to nominate Bob FitzSimmonds again...it's the reason he didn't retire last time.

Senator Colgan failed to vote on Senator Barker's E-Verify bill, even after he held a Town Hall Meeting with Senator Barker where 90% of his constituents asked him to do so.

Senator Colgan abstained from voting - which is only normal procedure when you have a conflict of interest. Senator Colgan does not represent his constitutent's in Richmond - he represents only himself and what he wants.

Thank the good Lord that he will not run for re-election.

Can’t he just take his millions, hope on a Colgan Air jet, and fly off someplace warm to retire? No mas Chuck, no mas….

This is his final term and hopefully he will hop on that jet and go to Colombia.

Chuck Colgan told voters one thing when running for election, and did the precise opposite many times after the election. It's like watching Tim Kaine talk about raising taxes.

Colgan said he didn't want to raise gas taxes. Then he sponsors a bill that would raise gas taxes.

Colgan said he would crack down on illegal aliens. Now he votes for bills to give them in-state tuition.

Perhaps best of all this pro-life legislator attacked his opponent last election cycle for not being sufficiently supportive of a "woman's right to choose" in a mailer.

If he actually lived up to the rhetoric of being a commonsense legislator who puts principle over party, I doubt a lot of folks would have much a problem with him, even if he happened to vote sometimes in ways we might not like. What irks me, and plenty of others, is how he says one thing and then does another. I can handle all sorts of political chicanery, but I've no stomach for liars.

Senator Chuck Colgan is a dedicated public servant to the people he serves in Va. Some of the name calling on here confounds me and even disgusts me. I am a republican and don't always agree with Sen. Colgan but I dare anyone here to show me a politician, even within your own party, that you agree with 100%. He's a good family man and a leader of the community. Disagree with him all you want but leave the name calling out.

What else did anyone expect of Duck Colgan? Duck is lame on everything except his pet projects. He is without a doubt one of those constantly returned-to office-without-doing-much-of -anything except hold the liberal ideals to the vote and his moderate views to the ballot. And gets re-elected again and again.
Duck clucks to the democratic (party) goose step.

Slick,

I agree 100% with your position that we as Republicans have core values and beliefs and believe that they should be defended and cherished. As for Sen. McCain, it is true many don't agree with most things he has done but...I present exhibit A in the White House right now. So tonight "the base" may have their principles, but the Democrats have the White House, the House and the Senate which is a terrifying situation for any American in my opinion. However, what has happened is the complete elimination of any type of debate within the party. Economic development through low taxation, effective efficient goverment, national security, self-reliance and personal responsibility have somehow disappeared from the platform; or at best been pushed way down the values list. I happen to hold the same beliefs as many in the party vis a vis moral issues but I also realize that Republicans come in many stripes as do Democrats and Independents. One must only do the math to realize that to win any election bigger than a local contest will numerically require the gathering of moderates, Independents and Conservative Democrats. Elections by nature are numbers games. My sincere hope is that Bob McDonnell will push the aforementioned values towards the top of the issue list so that we don't face the day where we have to watch Gov. McAuliffe meeting with Pres. Obama and Sen. Mark Warner. I hope we don't have to reach that dreadful day to finally figure it out because in the end that will not do any Virginian any good no matter what their political persuasion may be.

Tom Andrews,

A careful review of the past two election cycles show exactly the opposite of what you propose. Candidates who ran as conservatives have won while the RINOs have lost. Case in point is John McLame. He never garnered support from his own base precisely because he is a democrat-light and we were still pulling out the knives from our backs he so often thrust there. You cannot win elections by saying "I'm not a real conservative, I cut deals with the devil(s) but vote for me cuz I aint as bad as the other guy. That simply doesn't work. Reagan never did that, he was true to his party and he won landslides. We have core beliefs and principles to set ourselves apart from the mindless dumbocrats, not to emulate them in some lame hope of attracting the brain dead American idol fans who voted for DumbO.

I don't really think a third party is a realistic , viable alternative in today's political structure however we can start by allowing differing opinions within our own party without labeling and other self destuctive behaviors which have taken over the GOP in recent years. It has come to pass that anyone in the Republican party who doesn't fully subscribe to a narrow set of particular opinions is immediately derided and disparaged, not by the Democrats but by our own people using the now ubiquitous term of RINO.
We need to be able to have a vigorous debate on all Republican viewpoints and not stifle debate amongst our fellow R's. I for one would find it much more acceptable to currently have a RINO Senator and a RINO Congressman that I would agree with 75% of the time than Mark Warner and Gerry Connelly who I'm sure to disagree with 100% of the time. As Herm Edwards said "you play to win the game". As long as we continue to stifle any kind of debate or opinion that does not meet a stringent set of criteria or pass certain litmus tests we will lose elections for the next 100 years. If you think a RINO won't help push your agenda, watch and see what a Democrat will do for you.

Why should this come as a surprise? On the Whitehouse Website, Obama lists as one of his agenda items under Immigration:

"Remove Incentives to Enter Illegally:

Remove incentives to enter the country illegally by cracking down on employers who hire undocumented immigrants."

Yet one of the first things pulled from the Stimulus Package is E-Verify for "further review." Review WHAT? AZ has been the test case and passed.

Change? Where's the change?

Friends of ALIPAC,

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new project that has been in the works for several months!

Today we are launching a new website called End Illegal Immigration found at www.EndIllegalImmigration.com

ALIPAC currently controls and manages 14 websites and this will bring our total to 15.

This new site is designed to be highly visible on the Internet and to provide condensed information which conveys much of what we have learned, while building the largest archive of information in existence on the topic of illegal immigration at our home site www.alipac.us

We need your help with the new site.

1. Please visit www.endillegalimmigration.com and explore. Please let us know if you see any typos, malfunctions, or needed corrections before we press release the site to the nation later this week. Please utilize the information you find on the new site during your activities fighting against illegal immigration and against Amnesty.

2. Please use our "Tell Others About Us" feature on the right of the homepage or your personal e-mail contacts list to spread the word about this new site.

3. We need links links links! If you run a website or blog, please add a link to http://www.EndIllegalImmigration.com (End Illegal Immigration) to your website. If you post in online forums, please add a link to our new site to your posts and signature files. Please write emails to your favorite websites asking them to add links to this new site!

We need every single link we can get and as fast as we can get them. For each link you arrange, our new site will move up the search engine ladder and lead more Americans to this information.

The new site will be updated regularly as we add more pages and more information.

It is our hope that www.EndIllegalImmigration.com will become our new premier site and bring many more Americans to our aid. The site encourages people to join ALIPAC and NumbersUSA. Later, many of ALIPAC's allied groups will be added as well.

All constructive feedback is welcome by replying to this e-mail.

Let's launch this new ship into battle and get it up to speed quickly.

The ALIPAC Team
