There was a story in the MJM a couple of years ago, that talked about a local company that hired immigrants. The company said it had problems hiring Americans at $8.00 an hour, but to immigrants from Mexico where the average pay was a dollar a day, $8.00 an hour seemed like a lot of money. Of course in this area it is impossible to support a family making $8.00 dollars an hour, the Company did not admit that, and the one immigrant who said he can send money home each month also did not mention his housing situation which most likely involved living in a house with many other people.

Does that make Americans lazy for not taking a job they can neither live right or support a family?

Let’s say illegal aliens make up 5% of the work force, as he suggests. In some industries, such as construction, that figure is tremendously higher. BLS is saying that the total employment in the US is about 142 million. That means there’s about seven million illegal aliens unlawfully working in the United States, which seems a little low, but let’s go with that for a while.

If you have a job, this is just a meaningless statistic. If you’re a recent entrant into the labor force, this means a whole lot more. Unemployment among recent high school graduates is about 20%. In urban areas, that figure jumps well over 50%. Where’s your opportunity to gain experience and start climbing the ladder to prosperity when you have to compete with cheap illegal alien labor? Illegals depress prevailing wages, making it even harder since the few jobs you might be competitive for pay less, making it even harder to get ahead. If young African-Americans bear a disproportionate burden as a result of unlawful employment practices, are we just supposed to ignore it and accept this as the national price we pay of “only” 5% of the labor force being illegals?

I seem to remember a time when liberals actually cared about the difficulties these folks faced.

I hear pretty frequently from folks who didn’t get jobs because they couldn’t speak Spanish. An auto body mechanic in Manassas Park, a construction worker in Williamsburg, a bank teller in Manassas, a High School kid who wanted to bus tables in Haymarket. Because their employers had decided to avail themselves of the savings that accrue from unlawful hiring practices, these people face a much harder challenge getting a job. That 5% number means a lot to them, because they’re some of the ones paying the price.

Right now the number of illegal aliens in Virginia is pretty close to the number of unemployed American citizens. If we actually bothered to enforce our laws, these unemployed Americans would have a much easier time finding work, because there would be jobs available. You want to call them lazy and shiftless, fine. I don’t see it that way. I see a lot of people frustrated that they can’t find work while illegal aliens are drawing paychecks. When the next election comes around, I’ll bet these American citizens are going to vote with me, rather than liberals such as yourself who clearly don’t give a hoot about them and even go so far as to insult them.

Seven million. We could significantly address the national unemployment problem if we could just replace illegal aliens in the workforce with unemployed Americans, but you don’t even want to give them a chance to get a job and care not at all that the burdens fall disproportionately on minorities and youth. Call ‘em lazy. Go for it. Let’s see how that works out.

The market is falling because investors have no confidence in the “one”. Obama thinks by spending all of this money on pork things will get better. Well, obviously he did pay attention when Carter was in office.

We really need the infrastructure and construction jobs without E-verify so we can put the millions of Illegal Aliens back to work, so they can send money home to support Mexico! The contractors can charge the tax payers union scale, hire Illegals at slave wages, pocket the different s, and the tax payers pay both the wages and the billions in cost to educate the illegals many spawn, provide medical, welfare and prison cells.

You would think the Politicians would be content with just outsourcing all the jobs that are possible but No they want to bring in Slave labor ( while ignoring Article IV Section IV of our Constitution against invasion, the rule of Law, and their Oath of office) to take the jobs that cannot be outsourced! The Democrats love the millions of Welfare votes. Many of the Republicans love the slave labor for their Pay Masters in the Chamber of Commerce and business. So there is little or no hope for American citizens and the future viability of this nation as we know it.

If we are realistic and look at the havoc caused by the millions invading Hispanics on our communities, culture, crime, economy, welfare, taxes, environment, schooling and standard of living the only conclusion possible is that no Nation can withstand or assimilate Millions of citizens from another culture, that come here for the jobs and welfare, while keeping loyally to their home countries!

This Nation is changing to the very same type of culture and society the invading millions have created, built and sustained for 100,s of years and are now fleeing in their own Countries!
