More Illegals, More Crime

By Greg L | 27 February 2009 | National Politics, Illegal Aliens, Crime | 37 Comments

Stories like this in the Washington Times aren’t going to be of much help to the nuts like Gaudencio Fernandez who not only oppose securing our borders, but actually call for eliminating them.  According to them, “eliminate” the borders and the world sings kum-bay-yah.  Unfortunately, the truth is far different.

Arizona state law enforcement officials say that kidnappings have risen in Phoenix, among other places, as the result of the activities of Mexican crime cartels. Facing a crackdown from the Mexican army, cartel leaders have unleashed a spasm of violence south of the border. A recent State Department travel notice compared firefights with the authorities to small unit infantry combat, with internal and external feuds characterized by grisly torture and murder, sometimes videotaped and posted on the Web or circulated by e-mail.

Areas with high concentrations of illegal aliens and violent crime.  Hmmm.  Sounds vaguely familiar…

Let’s also go North to Colorado -

    Fact one:
    Lawsuits challenge sanctuary policies
    Illegals’ victims say cities liable
    Valerie Richardson (Contact)
    Wednesday, February 25, 2009

Margaret Rains and Haley Tepe were sitting down to enjoy ice cream at a Baskin-Robbins in Aurora, Colo., when a sport utility vehicle driven by an illegal immigrant sent two cars plowing into the shop, leaving three dead and the two women injured.

Now the women are taking action against the city of Denver, arguing that its sanctuary-city policy contributed to the Sept. 4 crash. The driver, 23-year-old Francis Hernandez, had been arrested numerous times by Denver police, but was never reported to federal immigration authorities.

    Fact two:
Injured Good Samaritan Ticketed For Jaywalking DENVER (AP) ―

A good Samaritan who pushed three people out of the path of a pickup before he was struck and injured has been ticketed for jaywalking.

Family members say 58-year-old Jim Moffett and another man were helping two elderly women cross a busy Denver street in a snowstorm.

Moffett suffered bleeding in the brain, broken bones, a dislocated shoulder and a possible ruptured spleen. He remained hospitalized Wednesday.

The State Patrol issued the citation. Trooper Ryan Sullivan told the Rocky Mountain News that despite Moffett’s intentions, jaywalking caused the accident.

    Analysis and Conclusion:
Looks like we first have to get our jaywalking problem under control before we can assign and channel scare resources to the small, minor crimes allegedly committed by illegals - wherever!

Glen Beck had Rusty Flemming on his show tonight. One of the drug cartels demanded that the school teachers give them their Christmas bonuses when they received them. (JAUREZ, MEXICO) To make sure that they did, they made banners and placed them on the ground, across the street from the school. Well, that wasn’t too bad except that they had dumped the executed bodies of their rivals beside these banners. Hundreds of school children were exposed to this and the parents pulled their kids out of school.

I don’t know if they have returned.

This kind of stuff is crossing over the border into the U.S. and we need to stop it in it’s tracks.

Folks, if you don’t wake up and demand action from our worthless Congressmen and Senators, our country will be facing an all out war in our border states.

This stuff has crossed the border.

But, why do you think that they want to silence Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, AZ? The current Adm. and its illegal domestic army, ACORN, and certain members of Congress are out to get him. It is all part of their master plan.

In addition, the liberals in Congress now want to investigate the CIA. Just what we need. Thwart our CIA; give the terrorists free reign. Remember that liberal Senator Church who eviscerated the CIA back in the seventies? Instead of punishing the guilty, they wrecked the CIA and it took years for it to regain it effectiveness. And, some say, it never did regained it former level of effectiveness.

Talk about a war in the border states all you want but also start thinking in terms of our own East Coast turf. Just this week, three illegals tried to assassinate a deputy sheriff of the K-9 squad in Lexington County, South Carolina. The three were part of a SUR-13 gang initiation. It is my understanding that alerts are going out because MS-13 in particular is now “green lighting” for assassination border patrol guards, local law enforcement officers, anyone courageous enough to serve as a witness against them, and even the Minutemen. I hear a special “green light” warning has just gone out to law enforcement personnel in the Tidewater area. This country is in very deep trouble unless those idiots in Washington wake up. As one law enforcement officer put it: when law enforcement itself is under seige, you are in danger of seeing gang rule. Unbelievable to me how the American people can stand by while the elected officials, in violation of their sacred trust, place us all in jeopardy.

Many of us have written to our Representatives and Senators requesting action to secure the southern border — nothing!

Do you suppose our Congressmen receive even MORE correspondence from voters asking them to allow continued free-travel across the border? Surely not, but I just don’t understand it. I have worked on Warner, Webb and Tom Davis concerning the issue of illegal immigration…asking them to secure the border and adjust legal immigration quotas (if necessary) to satisfy the needs of our economy. All I got in return was a primer on how important immigration has been to our country. We have Congressional representation?? Hardly! :(

PRINCE WILLIAM NEWS ALERT: Board to Vote on Tax ReductionFriday, February 27, 2009 12:04 PM

    From: “Stewart, Corey A.”

The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will vote this Tuesday March 3 on advertising a property tax rate. I am proposing a rate that will reduce tax bills for homeowners by an average of $548.00 (a 16 % reduction). I want to thank Supervisors Maureen Caddigan (Dumfries), Wally Covington (Brentsville) and John Stirrup (Gainesville) for joining me in supporting this tax relief.

This tax rate of $1.198 will support the County Executive’s proposed budget, which reduces government spending by $56 million compared to last fiscal year without cutting any of our uniformed police or fire and rescue personnel. The County Executive’s budget is responsible and sustainable. By focusing our resources, it allows us to protect vital county services while providing tax relief to you during these uncertain times.

To pass this tax reduction, we need at least five supervisors to vote this Tuesday in support of the $1.198 tax rate. Please email the Board at BOCS@pwcgov.org urging the whole Board to join Supervisors Stirrup, Covington, Caddigan and myself in supporting this rate and ensuring tax relief for you.

Please be sure to tune into Comcast Channel 23 or Verizon FIOS Channel 37 to see how your supervisor votes.

    Corey A. Stewart

Prince William supervisors to tackle budget
    Potomac News
    Published: February 27, 2009

Prince William supervisors are scheduled to set the fiscal year 2010 budget tax rate for advertisement this Tuesday, and the latest figure is a bit higher than what was originally discussed.

For weeks, it seemed supervisors were set on a $1.198 rate. But they’re now on track to advertise a $1.212 rate, which “will give them a little more flexibility,” said Susan Roltsch, assistant county executive, during a Friday morning press briefing.

In e-mails received by the News & Messenger, Chairman Corey Stewart, R-at-large, and Supervisor John Jenkins, D-Neabsco, said they favored rates of $1.198 and $1.295, respectively.

“This tax rate of $1.198 will support the county executive’s proposed budget, which reduces govern-ment spending by $56 million,” Stewart stated in his e-mail. “The county executive’s budget is responsible and sustainable. By focusing our resources, it allows us to protect vital county services while providing tax relief.”

Jenkins, for his part, finds the lower rate too restrictive for discussion purposes and asked other supervisors at the last board meeting to consider setting a figure for advertisement that wouldn’t inhibit discussions. The sig-nificance of the tax rate that’s advertised is that state law allows for supervisors to adopt a final rate that’s lower, but not higher, than what is publicized.

At the $1.198 level, the average residential tax bill will decrease by 15 percent, or $514, according to background documents to the board. Meanwhile, the average commercial tax bill would increase 6.2 percent—but as county executive Craig Gerhart has said on several occasions, estimating the average bill in this category is impossible, given the wide disparities among businesses.

Sometime after the 2 p.m. meeting starts at the McCoart Administration Building, supervisors will also receive a revenue forecast from Finance Director Chris Martino.

Not surprisingly, numbers are down. Aside from housing—local home values have dropped by more than 30 per-cent and that means less money amassed by the county in the form of real estate taxes—Prince William is on track to lose significant revenues from personal property collections.

“Personal property taxes are the second largest revenue source in the county,” said Dave Sinclair, a financial analyst for the county, explaining how truck depreciation generally occurs at a rate between 12 percent and 18 percent.

Current rates show the average depreciation for trucks at 31 percent—and for cars, the numbers aren’t much better.

“The average for cars is roughly 11 1/2 percent,” he said.

Moreover, the county’s other sources of revenue—investment income and sales taxes, to name a couple—are all on the downswing, and most are predicted losses for this fiscal year.

In other matters Tuesday, supervisors will adopt the 2012 strategic plan, laying the course for fiscal planning in the areas of economic development and transportation; education; human services; and public safety. And they will also receive the latest updates about the General Assembly in Richmond from legislative director Dana Fenton.

Crime? Illegals? Gangs? Murder? Rape? Molestation? Kill Police?

Did you say kill police? Yep.

Just last week in South Carolina a police officer and his K9 were brutally ambushed by 3 illegals, one 15 and other 17, with a 12 gauge shotgun. The officer and K9 will recover from wounds but the reason for the ambush - GANG INITIATION to “jump in” - KILL A COP! They are trying to bring Juarez here. In other parts of the country over the last few years, some illegals have sought US Marines to kill for gang violence as an honor killing as well as other innocent people just to shoot or commit other crimes like rape just to be a gang member.

Yet MWOBs (and other illegal “rights groups”), continue their efforts to completely ignore this violence, gang related or not, and want these scumbags to live and move amongst us.

The answer is strict enforcement of all laws. Those people who “employ” illegals are aiding and abetting. Folks need to realize that they are responsible for their actions and hiring illegals is wrong, dangerous and subversive. Our politicians with no backbone NEED TO GO. Cities, locales and states that do not enforce the law must have ALL federal aid and monies halted. Do some of you recall how the feds threatened Virginia when George Allen was governor over the debate on the vehicle emissions program? The feds were going to cut all highway funds if Virginia failed to adopt the federally mandated program. That was resolved but the point is that the government got so “tough” over emissions (and soon “greenhouse gases) but lack the backbone to seal the borders - with force if necessary, pursue, prosecute and deport criminal illegals nationwide, not just a few locales who stand up to the illegals, aggressively punish, prosecute and fine ANYONE who hire illegals and fund aggressive anti-gang, anti-crime funding to the police. The government at all levels need to support police tactics on fighting this scourge, especially gang, crime and illegal hiring activities. The 287g program should be mandated nationwide and any locale refusing to enact it and follow it should have all federal funds withheld.

This will have an immediate impact on the situation. Immediate!

So I present the problem with a solution.

I agree with you. This is nation wide. I do wonder if the MS-13 thugs shoot a Border Patrol Officer and they are apprehended - will they be persecuted as vigorously as they persecuted Jose Compean and Ignacio Ramos, the two BPO railroaded by the US Justice Dept. I would bet NO. And, if they do prosecute, they will probably get a light sentence and later on, they will probably receive full pardons from our President - not commutations like Jose and Ignacio.

Our gd politicians are nothing but gd traitors, but then: who voted them into power?

Going back to the border issue, I watched a notice this morning addressing our school children and their spring break or graduation vacations in the below-our-border territories of Mexico, suggesting that because of the activities of the drug cartels, it may be dangerous for them, suggesting they may get caught in the cross-fire or possibly targeted for kidnappings. Pretty scary.

I noticed a gang tagging on the flat branch bridge on Lomand Drive on Thursday morning at 8 am. It had not been there on Wednesday evening when I drove past. At 8:30 am Thursday I called the PWPD on the non-emergency number and reported it. The dispatcher said someone would check it out. As of Friday mid-day it was still there. Once upon a time it would be removed immediately after the gang task force photographed it. If previous taggings at this site (and there have been many) hold true, the other gang element in the area will put their own artwork on the other end of the bridge (if the haven’t already.) If the county officials don’t care then who will. I have noticed an increasing amount of vehicles parking on the lawns (what is left of them) in the Westgage area, especially on Spotsylvania and Westmorland. Where are the zoning enforcement people? They sure aren’t around the Westgate area.

One has to only look at Calif. which is basically mostly an Spanish speaking Bankrupt state that cannot afford to provide Welfare, Schooling, Medical, Prison cells etc. for millions of MS-13 Gang bangers, Drug dealers, Rapist and other assorted Criminals and uneducated third world rejects from Mexico!

In a very few years it will be impossible to see where Mexico ends and Calif. begins as both will be an third world cesspool!

Failure to secure our borders and reward the Invading horde for their invasion and their relatives in an never ending chain with American Citizenship will assure our future is an over populated Spanish speaking third world Nation that is an Cesspool of Corruption, Crime, Poverty and Misery modeled on Mexico!

Black Saint, in total agreement with you on this. I outlined similar points to all my elected officials with a request to quit ducking the issue with the “immigration reform” response they continue to give, as these are two separate issues.

If our elected officials are serious about restoring our economy why not start here and then figure out how much they really need to spend?

    1. Put millions of Americans to work by eliminating the illegal workforce currently in place.

    2. Save millions of dollars currently being drained from local, state and federal programs by the illegal population.

    3. Reinvest millions back into our economy through the elimination of illegal alien remittance.

Due to the fact that many of the elected “elite” have worked hard to put this mess in place in order to serve the needs of their campaign finance constituents, and not the public at large, the only solution would be a non partisan flush every election cycle. That is easier said than done because outside of presidential elections it has been 39 years since we have seen over 40% of registered voters turn out for federal elections.

I didn’t know of this until it was pointed out to me. But, back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work.

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal’s after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexican nationals! The program was called ‘Operation Wetback’ so that American WWII and Korean veterans had a better chance at jobs. It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now, if they could deport the illegal’s back then, they can sure do it today!! If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.

** Reminder : Don’t forget to pay your taxes …. 12 million Illegal Aliens will be needing welfare. Illegal Aliens are Criminal Invaders

Let’s see: There are about 150 million in the work force at full employment. Now there are almost 8% unemployed. Interestingly, 8% of 150 million is 12 million. Is that number familiar?

On the anti site - fictitious numbers on crime in PW County?

The anti’s posted a Table - which they call a chart - of the Crime Statistics that covers or refers to crimes committed in PW Co. No source cited - at least i did not see one cited. Would guess that its source would be the Uniform Crime Statistics Report which I believe is the work of the U.S. Dept. of Justice. Of course, since each jurisdiction collects this information and then passes it to the Justice Dept.the anti’s could have obtained the data from PW Co. before the County submitted it to Justice.

The participants there have become all wrapped up with some negative numbers that are probably just errors, or adjustments that are explained in footnotes - which they do not show - or changes that occurred from numerous downloadings of the data - incompatible systems, etc. In any case, according to some of their posts, the Table is apparently flawed.

Though, some of the blame goes to the “victims” who were either too lazy to clean their own homes, and or, too stupid for hiring a one person cleaning company that was owned by a person who could not speak English.
