So I'm reading that they just released all the illegal aliens that were found to be working at the engine plant in Washington State. They gave them temporary work permits as well so they can be witnesses against the company who hired them in the first place. How many do you think will show up for questioning and the trial? The gov't just gave them a new document that they can forge. What is going on with our gov't?

http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2009/04/judge_allows_ob.html

Of course, the Feds had nothing to with this decision. She is just a poor woman (illegal alien who was told to leave the country in 2000) living on the dole in a public housing project at taxpayers expense, surrounded by a "bunch of men" in suits. Are these men lawyers (who is paying for them as she apparently is so poor that she has to live in public housing) or are they part of Louis Farrakhan's (Nation of Islam) thugs?

"A Modesto police officer had to pull his gun to keep a hostile crowd at bay early Sunday. Some members of the crowd told the officer that "he was not going to leave the scene alive," according to police. The crowd of as many as 60 people included some known gang members, Findlen said. The dog apprehended one suspect, who police later identified as 18-year-old Alfredo Espinoza of Modesto. William Rodriguez, 29, of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, false imprisonment of a police officer and lynching. Junior Suarez, 19, of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of resisting and delaying a police officer and lynching. Gabriel Avila, 21, of Modesto was arrested on suspicion of possessing an assault rifle."

I disagree. This is the best time to enforce immigration laws. It won’t take much more to get most of them to leave. Take away the education, medication and any benefits. Get them out now, build the fence tall and strong. When the jobs come back, citizens and lawful permenant residents will get them.

Most people would agree. Cut off their lifelines (education, free emergency room treatment and food stamps for their 'lil darlings born here illegally) and they will leave. As long as we taxpayers are supporting them they will never leave. Just like cockroaches, as long as they find a warm place with plenty of food, you will never get rid of them. Obamarama's aunt is scheduled for an immigration hearing today re her illegal status. She is back in Boston utilizing public housing at taxpayer's expense. Does anyone really think she will be deported? She ignored the first deportation notice four years ago and nothing was done. Now, since his majesty has become president he just may move her into the White House with the mother-in-law and maybe a few cousins, nephews and nieces to keep her company. I can just picture it now! NEWS NEWS NEWS ..... Obama demands massive extension be added to the White House and the White House lawn be gravelled over for extra parking.

"BOSTON (AP) - Barack Obama's Kenyan aunt lost her bid for asylum more than four years ago, and a judge ordered her deported. Instead, Zeituni Onyango stayed, living for years in public housing.

Now, in a case that puts the president in a tough position both personally and politically, Onyango's request is being reconsidered under a little-used provision in U.S. immigration rules that allows denied asylum claims to be reheard if applicants can show that something has changed to make them eligible.

Such as the ascension of her nephew to the presidency of the world's most powerful country."

That transformation will give the Democrats a solid hold in the exurbs--and that's what they've wanted for a long time. Don't think they didn't know that the CRA would result in this. They're not stupid, they're evil.

From today's Wall Street Journal
"In the Exurbs, the American Dream Is Up for Rent"

"... observors believe the growth of rental property
is the first in a series of steps that will transform today's
exurbs into low-income housing. These communities
have a low tax base made up of mostly property and
sales taxes, both which are in decline.
What is happening on the urban fringe is similar to the
urban decay that plagued cities after WW II ...
single family homes and townhomes in cities were
broken into rental units."

FYI - Barbara Hollingsworth has an interesting op/ed
in today's Examiner - "Boarding House Reach".
She calls a critic of newly elected Fairfax Supervisor
John Cook(R) on the carpet for calling Cook a racist for
seeking renewed support of the county's established
Zoning Task Force and county laws already on
the books. Cook had merely pointed out
"the need to close down the numerous illegal boarding
houses in single-family neighborhoods that
contribute to declining property values in Fairfax
County."

Mexico's Fox touts EU-like integration for the Americas

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox addresses the Future Leaders Conference at the UTSA Main Campus.
By Elaine Ayala - Express-News

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox was in San Antonio Friday, delivering a wide-ranging address about U.S.-Mexico relations that touched on trade, the drug war, comprehensive immigration reform and the United States' “mammoth” financial crisis that has spread worldwide.

Fox also delivered a message of hope — hope that someday Canada, the United States and Mexico, indeed the rest of Latin America, would function like the European Union.

“It's an extremely successful model,” said Fox, whose wife, Marta Sahagún, accompanied him. “My vision is to speed up the process of further integration.”

Fox was in town to address the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute's Future Leaders Conference, held at the UTSA Main Campus. He received four rousing standing ovations from the crowd, many of them student business majors.

The event was hosted by the University of Texas at San Antonio's College of Business.

Fox acknowledged the difficulty of establishing a European Union-like structure in the Americas, given those who'd oppose it. But Fox said, “Hope is back again,” referring to the new U.S. president and the United States' “capacity to fight for ideals.”

“The border between Mexico and the United States is not as fluid, stable or open as the border with Canada,” Fox said. “This certainly is because there is a huge difference in the levels of development.”

Fox hailed the success of the North American Free Trade Alliance even as a student in the audience questioned its societal impact and inability to create jobs for Mexican citizens.

“It has happened,” Fox said of Mexico's job creation. Before NAFTA, annual “per capita income was $3,500. Today it is $8,500, three-fold growth.”

Fox also spoke of Mexico's war against drug cartels and its impact on “perhaps the most dynamic border in the world.” He reiterated comments made by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton this week, in which she said “insatiable” U.S. drug consumption drives the war.

Indeed, Fox conceded that more of his own citizens are engaging in drug use as cartels look for new markets.

And while he lamented how the terror attacks of 9-11 quashed potential plans for comprehensive immigration reform, supported by then-President George W. Bush, Fox expressed hope that President Barrack Obama would take up the charge.

Former Mexican President Vicente Fox was in San Antonio Friday, delivering a wide-ranging address about U.S.-Mexico relations that touched on trade, the drug war, comprehensive immigration reform and the United States’ “mammoth” financial crisis that has spread worldwide.

Fox also delivered a message of hope — hope that someday Canada, the United States and Mexico, indeed the rest of Latin America, would function like the European Union.

“It’s an extremely successful model,” said Fox, whose wife, Marta Sahagún, accompanied him. “My vision is to speed up the process of further integration.”
