You're too kind. Yes, I prefer to do rather than teach. Hopefully I will never be in a position that removes me from doing what I think is most important: protecting our country from those who would do us harm.
I read the decision as well. I certainly hope that California's state and local jurisdictions will respect it. The Town of Berkley will go insane.

Don’t forget the folded newspaper in your left hand and the red rose in your lapel. One other thing…..the password is “I Love Me!”

I've been laughing for 10 minutes and can't stop. Thanks!

"The victim's mother says she trusted that family and let her child spend the night at the home where the 10 year old girl was taken advantage of."

Bridget,

Trusting! Big mistake. That's one of the problems. The PC ness indoctrination that's been foisted upon the general population during/over the last 50 years or so is now bearing its bitter, rotten fruit.

Interpreter - Sure! Just an act to gain sympathy - bet he understood English quiet well. Besides No is the same in Spanish and English.

I’m there once a week on average. I sit at the bar. I’m 4′7″ tall (in lifts), usually wear a porkpie hat with a sprig of holly in it, and weigh about 180 pounds. Just ask for Scout.

Narcissists - while endlessly absorbed in the struggle to think well of themselves - can be entertaining.

Like watching a dog chase it's own tail. Scout does the same endless loop - I, me, my, I, me, my...

"So, enough of me talking about myself - why don’t you tell me what you think about me...”

How many narcissists does it take to change a light bulb?

(a) Just one -- but he has to wait for the whole world to revolve around him.

(b) None at all -- he hires menials for work that's beneath him.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This bucket of charm went so far as to defend his actions and attempt to mitigate the charges against him by saying "where I am from, there is no law - moral or otherwise - that tells me using children for sex is wrong."

It's the big pool that my vast workforce of 2Is keep getting the grass clippings in. I'd fire them, but they'd just go back to wherever they came from. They do better with the grottoes. But those have more setback into the landscaping. (I have to say this stuff just so as not to disappoint folks around here)

If ten years was the max, it sounds fair to me, regardless of his immigration status.

NoVA Scout,

What evenings do you go to your favorite watering hole?

Another good choice would be by your swimming pool - and I promise not throw any 'grass' into your luxurious pool.

Did you see today's Metro Section of the WP? Ten years for that MS-13 illegal. As I understand it, that was the maximum sentence the Judge could give him.

Anon 2235: do you really think it's a good idea to drive all over creation to have a discussion about a cultural topic? Especially these days? Johnson invited me to meet (presumably somewhere in Prince William) to discuss anthropological issues concerning Hispanic child molestation patterns. I can have the exact same discussion sitting at home without taking the time and fuel to go meet him at the University or whatever academic forum he had in mind. Plus all of you other scholars can be part of the conversation. If I go to visit Johnson, you guys can't be involved. So, I think my choice of media is a sound one. Of course, if I happen to encounter any of you folks at my favorite watering hole (The Vienna Inn on Maple Avenue), I'm not opposed to discussing these issues there. It's not halls of ivy, but I find it a very gemutlich atmosphere for friendly banter.

Not sure what poultry calls have to do with it.

Patriot: you may want to read that decision. I think the ILW headline writers got a little silly, there. I don't think the California statute at issue will be very useful to Chief Deane, at least not while he lives in Virginia.

California Supreme Court Unanimously Supports The Broadest View Of State And Local Government Authority To Enforce Immigration Law

Now tell the Chief he has no excuse. If CA can start working in the right direction...certainly VA can.

Cyberspace seems to work just fine and saves gas. I love to talk about ideas and find this efficient. Not aware of ever having bullied (or even attempted to bully) anyone, and certainly have not made any arrests. I used to have people to do that for me, but am a private citizen now. Just hate to see human minds go to rot right in front of me. Gotta go. My vast 2I workforce seems to have gotten grass clippings in the big pool.

I'd venture to guess he's been hiring them to clean his pool and mow his lawn for about that long.

NoVA Scout-
Thank you. I'd love to meet with you personally and discuss the topic further. Care to? Or is your rapier-like wit confined to the parameters of cyberspace?
Don't try to bully anyone on this site. It's childish and stupid.
As for my experience with hispanic cultures, I've been investigating and arresting them since 1990. How about you?

With 2008 reports being the first year for illegal alien break out numbers, and a 10 month record at that, the "Number of Police Department Contacts with Suspected Illegal Aliens" category for 2009 may be more reflective than others.

While the press reports a drop of 22% in violent crime I do not put much stock in "lump sum" numbers presented as a percentage, as they are often misleading. How about reporting the 20% increase in category of murders?

I would be more interested to know the following. Of the 1,013 police department contracts with suspected illegal aliens, as per the report, what percentage of the entire illegal alien population in the county does this represent?

Think about the murder that occurred behind the 7-11 (PWC PKWY & RT 1) involving day laborers hanging out for work. Any experienced homicide investigator will tell you everyone who regularly loiters around that location looking for work either witnessed the incident or knows the suspect's identity and where he can be found. The logical thing to do in order to solve the case would be to pressure those who witnessed this incident to come forward and cooperate with investigators. This is simply done by stepping up patrols and strictly enforcing all laws/ordinances until this group understands it is in the best interests of everyone to lead investigators in the right direction to solve this case so life at the scene of the crime can go back to normal.

But in PWC the C.O.P. orders detectives to halt questioning, and only contact potential witnesses/suspects if they are already in custody. What confuses me the most is this brutal crime occurred next to Fred Lynn Middle School where students frequently walk by the crime scene before/after school, and there seems to be no outrage about letting this group (possibly to include the murderer) continue to loiter around children typically from 11-14 yrs. old.

For the most part the community has seemed to except the fact a murderer is walking around Woodbridge without any fear of arrest or prosecution, and the police department has adopted a "let him go" policy because it appears to be the nice thing to do for the public image of the police.

NoVA Scout,

Thank you for all those fine compliments. I'm overjoyed that you are "so impressed", and plan to continue to do my best when addressing these critically issues.

While I will not speak for Mr. Johnson, I would think that he too is just as smitten with your overwhelming accolades that you have bestowed upon us. For me - and I'm sure it was the same for Mr. Johnson - it was rather taxing while applying all those advanced analytical skills to reach the conclusions reached on these critical SOB (South of the Border) issues.
