Give me a break. If it’s wrong at that site then it’s wrong here as well. I don’t even know where the anti site is and I don’t care to know. I am a conservative all the way but I also know there are always two sides to every story. I’d like to see this illegal immigration issue fixed but I don’t have all the answers. I just know for a fact that Steve Smith is an honorable man and there is nothing anyone here can say to change that.

How is calling someone a liberal lying? Not all of us are happy with weaked kneed elected officials, and I guess Steve fits that bill.

It’s the false accusations and misleading lies where I have a problem. Just because you have the 1st amendment right to say stuff doesn’t make it right. Politician or not.

Hmm, Smith is an elected official and as such should either collect a backbone and some thick skin, or should not hold office. obama is sort of the same type of elected official. Look what he did to Joe the plumber, Rush, etc when they dared to speak out against him.

Americans have always held the right to bash public officials, and in fact there has always been a market for political cartoons etc.

We will be gathering in the south-east quadrant of LaFayette Square, right across Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House. And what a great location! Red line Metro stop is Farragut North. Orange/Blue line Metro stops Farragut West or McPherson Square . There may be street parking available, but it will be hit or miss. If you’re coming from Northern Virginia, we might suggest parking in the big parking garage at the Ballston Common Mall in Arlington . It’s a couple of short blocks south of the Ballston Metro stop on the Orange line and is not very expensive.

Of course Dave Core should be considered. But, somehow, even though the majority of the Council members have an “R” next to their names, there is only one true “R” on the Council and will be canceled out in the vote to replace Steve.
