Uh, "What I know," none of "our so called Repb. in P.W." have ever "kick[ed] one out." It's never happened since the founding of the County Committee. In fact, so far as I am aware, only two have ever been denied election to any Convention or Committee: one, who ran as a Democrat against a GOP officeholder; the other, who had within seven days of the County Convention declared that he had voted for President Barry. In short, neither was a "Trumped-up charge[]"; they were condemned by virtue of their own actions and/or words.

I've seen many of Trumped-up charges over the years here in Prince William and Virginia. The Frederick push was a good example of what the few do when they decide to kick one out. Some of our so called Repb. in P.W. are well versed in being a bad guy. It certainly is not for the Party's interest and certainly not for the people.

We wish Jeff and his wife the Best.

A young guy from Dumfries is running for Jeff's seat.Forgot his name but came out of nowhere and it's a shame as wer'e going to lose another seat.

I had really hoped that Amy would continue to run or that Jeff would. But I can see where they need a good rest from all this lousy crap.

Grassroots is where it is and leaders need to wake up to this theory,as it's the truth.

" My objection is not to him, but to a process by which a duly-elected Chairman was removed on trumped-up charges."

Sadly, the GOP is known to trump-up charges on people they don't like.... Democrat or Republican.

Upon receiveing the folowing email, I asked Mr. Mullins to define his“conservative values.”

Mullins said, "I respect Jeff Frederick's decision not to run for chairman. Already, we're hitting the ground running at the Republican Party of Virginia -- reinvigorating our grassroots organization, moving aggressively to raise funds to deliver our message, expanding our new media efforts and strengthening RPV's ability to provide solid services for our local activists.

As a conservative grassroots activist for the last three decades and as a local unit chairman in Fairfax County and now Louisa County I know how to bring people together to win elections and then pass our conservative policies. This is a crucial year for our Party. We must hold our House of Delegates majority and we must win all three statewide offices. The eyes of our nation are on Virginia. We must send a message that strong conservative values still bring victory."

I do not expect a response.

To give one Conservative's answer to annon, I like Pat Mullins a lot. He's a good guy, and I have a hard time with STD's charge that he's an "RPV puppet." My objection is not to him, but to a process by which a duly-elected Chairman was removed on trumped-up charges.

It will be interesting to see how the Convention is run this time. I'm utterly convinced that the amateurish and incompetent execution of the 2008 convention is what lost it for John Hager. It changed our votes to Frederick.

Doesn't he mean Jeff Fredrick? That's how it was spelled on some RPV fundraising letter I received and promptly threw out.

What is the deal with his House of Delegates seat? I understand there is another Republican running for it who is not Amy Frederick. I thought Amy was running. Then heard she wasn't. Not sure what her qualifications were anyway... or what he or she thought they were... but what is the deal with that seat now? Who is runinng? Is it a primary situation? Or what? I'm not in that district but I am curious.

I heard that the new RPV chairman does come from a conservative background and is liked by many conservatives.

I find it fascinating that the new RPV chairman appointed by SCC was interested in being a moderate but crafting his message in a way that wouldn't alienate conservatives. Sounds a lot like Ed Gillespie.
