Hmmm…

Mason Conservative has an interesting observation regarding our new masters at RPV:

Did You Know . . . that according to my source inside RPV at 115 East Grace St in Richmond, there is only John Brownlee literature!  None for Cuccinelli and none for Foster!  Outrageous, but not surprising because the same people behind Frederick’s demise are behind Brownlee’s campaign.  So I’m waiting for the proverbial nagging nabobs of negativity to explain to me why RPV would be taking sides in this race?  And if you think its an accident, your crazy.

I’m shocked, I tell you. I really am.

It’s almost as if the RPV is committing suicide. How can such intelligent people be so stupid? Arrogance? Elitism? How can we start a new party? Conservatives need a direction to turn to. The Republican party has become the party of greed and avarice.

Don’t be shocked. The RPVA and the RNC are both running to the left to attract votes from those who believe they are entitled to “share the wealth.” The RNC/RPVA aspire to be the other party of big government and big taxes. If they ever look back they will see contributers and grass-roots workers waving good-by. At this point Brownlee, Cuccinelli and Foster are all the same and it will make no difference who gets elected - they all pander and triangulate for votes - tell you what you want to hear - not necessarily the truth. I’ll vote for the one who rejects the Republican party elite - otherwise, I’ll stay home in November.

Oh well, I hope the Republican party elite enjoy the results of thier efforts - a Democrat Virginia.

I’ll just cling to my guns and Bible and protect my family.

    OMG, here we go again…:(

I want things to go “my way” too, of course…but believe it or not, it just doesn’t always happen that way. I will fight for what I believe to be right, and I’ll fight hard, but if I don’t get all of what I want, will always consider the alternative.

Does it make any sense at all to “fracture the party” and lose everything, even those components that I DO support? Does it make any sense to “stay home in November” because I didn’t get my way on issues that I support? I think not. :( Come on people, let’s fight but always remember, “Country first.”

Was that “Country First”, or “Party First”?

or maybe it was because a Brownlee rep came to State Central this past weekend, but nobody from Cuccinelli or Foster decided to attend.

    C’mon guys . . .

Or mebbe it’s because the Brownlee campaign isn’t taking anything for granted.

Jimmy! Great to see you here! Don’t forget to send Mom some flowers this Sunday, and I’ll see you at the brunch.

I have to agree with my brother’s observation. I have sources who tell me it is not uncommon for campaigns to forget or neglect to deliver their literature to a field HQ. I know it happens every cycle in Manassas and PWC HQ’s. I can’t count the times I have gone there looking for lit, a bumper sticker or yard sign to support a particular candidate, only to be told “we have requested some from the candidate’s campaign, but they have yet to deliver it…” Now if someone from the Cuccinelli campaign were to come forward and publicly state that they were denied the opportunity to do so, well, then we have something to squawk about.

For the record, I plan to support Cuccinelli at the convention. I don’t think there is a conspiracy here to deny Ken the ability to reach potential voters or delegates to the convention. I think the Brownlee camp knows that Ken enjoys the same or greater support as Marshall enjoys, and expects that same base to turn out for Ken, based on what happened last convention. They want to make sure they reach every possible delegate.

John: You forgot the flowers last year and stuck me with the bill.

So far, I’m supporting Brownlee. Looks like we may have a family split.

Why do people keep asking me who you are?
