BRUU openly holds pagan ceremonies. They still do. BRUU (and the UU "church") preaches that there is no one God, but many Gods. They hold gay commitment ceremonies. I don't trust ANYTHING that comes out of that "church".

AS for their activities, here are some highlights:

-Flamingo Lounge (BRUU lower level)
We meet for spiritual renewal, to learn, to foster our sense of community, and to practice healing on the three planes: physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual following the Inkan tradition and cosmology.

-BRUU Writers' Group

Contact
    Katherine Gotthardt
Date
    2nd & 4th Sundays, 11:45AM - 1:15PM
Location
    Room 305/307
We meet to share and workshop writing by members, friends, and guests. All genres are welcome. No experience is necessary. Participants may read their own writing and receive feedback from group members or just come to listen. The BRUU Writers' Group is meant to provide a safe, positive environment encouraging writing, self expression and the creative talents of the community.

-Pagan Discovery/Discussion Group

Contact
    Donna Hagan
Date
    Varies. Call for information.
We explore being Pagan, the rituals and practices of Paganism, as well as learning about the history and basic knowledge of the Pagan spiritual path.

-CUUPS is the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans. As Pagans who attend Bull Run Unitarian Universalists, we feel that being an officially recognized portion of the congregation is an asset to BRUU. Like the concept of a "Welcoming Congregation" for alternate sexual orientations, having CUUPS of BRUU provides a resource and a safe harbor for those who seek to express spiritual beliefs that are not considered mainstream. We are adding to BRUU's vision of commitment to the local community, respecting all beliefs and acknowledging the interconnectedness of the Universe.

I wonder if you can write about being a Nazi in KG's group? Or being a bisexual pagan who can't go to prom?

Are you shocked by anything that comes out of the Bull Run Church? The Pastor has in the past advertised for pagans (devil worshipers) to join the church. The "white bike" guy "TOM" at the corner of Sudley and Portner used to advertise on the internet for "services" on the full moon in with some participants from the Bull Run Church. Pot Luck Dinner after the "MIDNIGHT MASS" at "WHITE BIKE TOMS". Who knows if Rishell participates in the festivities sponsored by "WHITE BIKE TOM"? But, that she hasn't denounced "WHITE BIKE TOM", who has evidently been holding "special midnight masses" for his "pagan" pals. Certainly says plenty about Rishell's religious proclivities? Nes Pas? Sorry my French ain't so good. But I ain't goin' to "WHITE GUY TOMS" for "FRENCH" lessons.

Miss California gives her opinion and is hammered because her opinion differs from the one who asked the question. Now, her California crown is in jeopardy as a result of it. And the spineless pageant people bow to the "offended" group?

The way they are collapsing to the pressure you would think it was a Miss Gay America pageant instead of the Miss America pageant.

If one "tolerates" their neighbors dog running off its leash, the dog owner get offended at the "intolerance" with the dogs use of the neighbor’s yard as a litter box. That is, of course, only if the neighbor will speak out at all. This is the junction that political correctness has brought us to.

Regardless of the subject, when tolerance becomes confused with acceptance, intentionally or not, it would behoove all parties to redefine the line in the sand.

The squeamishness with which the American public and its government have addressed this practice in the 12 years has led to the outright exploitation of it by the new administration.

Pink really makes a wonderful target.

Seriously, what would all of these idiots do if the majority of us simply ignored them? We're ignoring liberal newspapers and they are disappearing. Thank goodness they aren't getting stimulus funds.

That is some manifesto that Mr. Swift espouses. Mr. Swift should read a biology book. Homosexuality is against nature, as it is unsustainable without heterosexual mating and birth. An island of gay men, provided with all material things needed for survival, would be dead in a generation. Same for an island of lesbians.
