Back on SuperMax, I'm horrified that Obama wants to close down Guantanemo to throw these guys into SuperMax. SuperMax is sick and immoral, a much worse torture than waterboarding et al, and I hope there is a public debate over this.

During May 2009, Verizon Corporation is installing FIOS cable in the Haymarket area. And guess who is doing the job. . . The Verizon subcontractor, S&N Communications, is using gangs of illegal aliens. The local supervisor, the only one who speaks English, claims "everything is in order" since the firm has I-9 Forms on file for all employees.

This is fraud. S&N Communications hires the illegals and then fills out the I-9 Forms, claiming genuine documents were provided by the individual employee to prove legality. S&N Communication executives are now risking personal liability for corporate malfeasance. How does stiff fines and jail sound?

US Citizens should contact the Virginia Office of the Attorney General.

The DHS ICE URL is "mysteriously" malfunctioning today. . . Well, that is pretty much like the Federal Government - but particularly the DHS.

The illegal immigrants should change the way things are in their own countries before coming here. They should not leave their families in their own countries, they should stay there and make changes like our ancestors did against England. They should have their own salsa parties. ICE is not breaking up families, nobody is stopping the family from joining the caught guilty illegal immigrant in the country he/she gets deported to.

ALERT ALERT ALERT
NCLR PRESS RELEASE
"Contact:
Marie Watteau
(202) 785-1670

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 20, 2009

NCLR APPLAUDS CONTINUED MOMENTUM TOWARD COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM

Washington, DC-NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, today praised two encouraging signs of progress toward comprehensive immigration reform: the introduction of the "Reuniting Families Act" by Senators Robert Menendez (D-NJ), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Edward Kennedy (D-MA), and Charles Schumer (D-NY) and the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee Hearing, "Securing the Borders and America's Points of Entry, What Remains to Be Done." This important legislation and hearing call attention to the urgent need for action to reform of our broken immigration system.

"NCLR thanks Senators Menendez, Gillibrand, Kennedy, and Schumer for their continued leadership on reforming the family immigration system. Family unity is a fundamental principle in our country, and it is against our values to separate spouses from one another and parents from their children for up to a decade as we currently do in our outdated immigration system," said Janet Murguía, NCLR President and CEO.

The country's legal immigration system is clogged. Each year, the number of family members who apply for a visa through the family preference categories exceeds the number of visas available, resulting in waiting periods that extend for years and even decades. The "Reuniting Families Act" would make changes to the family preference system so that it is more efficient and U.S. citizens and legal immigrants can reunite with their families.

In addition to the introduction of the "Reuniting Families Act," the Senate Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Immigration, Refugees, and Border Security is holding a hearing today on the importance of ensuring that our borders are secure. NCLR commends the Subcommittee on this important hearing to spotlight the need for smart border enforcement that provides a reasonable deterrent against unlawful entry of individuals, drugs, and human traffickers without adversely affecting the lawful flow of goods and commerce.

NCLR lauds the important steps taken today to engage in the constructive dialogue needed to fix our immigration system. By proposing solutions to the problems in our family immigration system and examining smart border enforcement approaches, the Senate continues its progress toward achieving fair and effective comprehensive immigration reform that is good for the country."

Your tax dollars at work right here in PWC. The life flight helicopter landed yesterday in my neighborhood to take the illegal alien hispanic stabbing victim off on an all tax payer paid expensive helicopter ride to a hospital. How do I know he was an illegal? I asked him and he cussed me out, in Spanish and English while he was on the gurney waiting for his private ride to arrive. Read all about it in today's online version of the MJM.

"If he didn’t pay rent, how would his landlord pay taxes?"

If I were a landlord here in MP, I would make sure my tenants knew full well what portion of their rent goes to feed the tax pig.

The fire fighter who spoke lives in Haverhill Apartment. If he didn't pay rent, how would his landlord pay taxes? Yes, he isn't a taxpayer the way you or I are, but I think should have a voice even if he isn't a homeowner. If you live in a community (unless it is 15 in a two bedroom townhome), you are paying into a community someway or another. He pays rent, personal property, and decal if he lives in Manassas Park.

Best part of that article:

"But while other New Jersey municipalities passed anti-loitering ordinances aimed at day laborer gathering areas, former Passaic Mayor Samuel Rivera pushed for building a hiring hall and heralded it as a humane approach to dealing with the growing day laborer population. Rivera removed city parking spaces from the front of the center so contractors could pull up to it, and instructed the police not to give loitering tickets to day laborers who used it.

Rivera has since gone to prison on federal corruption charges."

What The Patriot (Got E-Verify?) said on 15 May 2009 at 2:24 pm:

You know, I don't think anyone should be granted citizenship based on an accident of birth. I would make citizenship contingent upon a test while granting extra credit and perhaos a fast track for Military or public service. I would make the rules the same regardless of a person's birthplace (think what that would do for Military recruiting! I think I remember this being the case during Viet Nam... citizenship for service... but my memory is a bit fuzzy these days).

We are all "accidents of birth" lucky enough to be born in this country. Since I think we all agree that Citizenship is a privilege, lets make everyone earn it.

""I feel a bit bad, a bit frustrated by all the people that promised things," Galindo said in Spanish. "The candidates who promise things when they're running, but don't comply when they realize most of us are not voters; the organizations that offer but then don't help; the representatives from my government (Mexico) who didn't collaborate with us, and not being a documented immigrant myself, I was only able to take things so far.""
