Why has violent crime decreased in Prince William County while neighboring jurisdictions are seeing huge increases in the prosecutions of MS-13 gang members? As expected, when Prince William County adopted tough measures to deal with illegal aliens they relocated to more friendly venues where local law enforcement refused to address large groups of illegal aliens unlawfully residing in their jurisdictions. That some of these jurisdictions are only now reacting to an explosion in gang violence after gang crime prosecutions leap several orders of magnitude higher, instead of recognizing the huge public safety issue before body bags started filling, is a strong testament to how liberal politically-driven law enforcement policies are vastly irresponsible and result in death and destruction.
The DC Examiner sums it up rather succinctly:
Jon Feere, who studies Washington-area gangs for the Center for Immigration Studies, said the high-profile crackdown on illegal immigrants in Prince William County and other Virginia jurisdictions has Hispanic gang members spilling onto more friendly territory in Maryland. Many have gone to Montgomery County, where illegal immigrants feel safe, Feere said.
When upwards of 90% of MS-13 members are illegal aliens according to the Virginia State Police, policies that make a jurisdiction more “welcoming” to illegal aliens unavoidably makes it much more “welcoming” to MS-13 violence as well. If local police are eager to enforce federal law in a wide variety of areas such as kidnapping, bank robbery, and moonshining carving out federal immigration law as the one region of federal law they refuse to play a part in makes no sense from a policy perspective, and has dramatic negative impacts.
Any chief law enforcement officer or elected official that refuses to have local law enforcement participate in the enforcement of federal immigration law is deliberately putting their constituents in harm’s way. To do so simply because they adhere to leftist dogma that demands special exceptions to the law for a select racial or ethnic group like this is outrageous. At least now the political implications of these policies are becoming rather clear and the citizenry is demanding reform. It’s long overdue, but perhaps, finally, reform is coming as the consequences of ridiculously bad policy are so clearly demonstrated.
Quite simply, liberalism kills.

Isms don’t kill. People kill. People who would put their countrymen at risk so that they can enjoy a maid, a dry-wall installer, or a day laborer at slave’s wages. People who will assist with a fraudulent loan transaction. People who will allow their house to become a flophouse. People who call others “racists,” hoping to stifle the truth so they can get a job teaching ESOL. People who run “non-profit” medical care centers catering to illegal aliens. Politicians who sell out to an ethnic group. These are the people who are killing Americans. These are the people whose names should be woven into the warp and woof of a virtual tapestry, and who should be dealt with as the traitors they are.
Liberals are illogical too! Here is a great example of what I mean…particularly those who support amnesty (aka pathway to citizenship) for illegal immigrants. Here are the supposed things that the pro-amnesty types say will occur:
1. Illegals will undergo a background check
REALITY - How does one conduct a background check on individuals who have habitually used fraudulent IDs, aliases, documents, etc.? How could you trust someone that has done this? You can’t!
2. Illegals will pay back taxes
REALITY - How does one truly know how much taxes an individual should pay if that individual was working “off the books”? Do you really think that the illegal has been keeping accurate records? Do you really think that the illegal will be “honest” to report the true figures? I don’t think so!
3. Illegals will be required to learn English
REALITY - How can this happen when everything seems to be in Spanish? Will all Spanish now be “turned off”?
4. Illegals will pay a fine
REALITY - Are you now telling me that U.S. Citizenship can be bought for a price? THAT IS ABSURD! U.S. Citizenship should be earned through demonstrated allegiance to only the U.S., our Flag, and our single language…English. Period.
Now I would like to address the comments in the press regarding true Americans wanting to preserve our existing melting pot culture. The term used in the press is often “nativists”. Now that is funny isn’t it? Isn’t a culture from south of the border being “nativist” by not melting (assimilating) into the common host U.S. culture? Why is this not being brought to anyone’s attention?
Again, liberalism does not make logical sense.
Start contacting our elected officials….”closed door” sessions are now being conducted for the next amnesty (aka pathway to citizenship) push for illegals. We must stop this. Greg, anyway for you to set up those auto emails things?
Here is another million dollar question….if Obama always talks about “transparency”, why are the immigration sessions “closed door” to regular Americans that oppose Amnesty (aka pathway to citizenship) for illegals? Has National Council of La Raza been invited to these sessions?

Why is “nativism” a bad thing? Why is it a sin to preserve what we’ve built? Why are liberals intent on giving away our resources? Nobody “deserves” the privilege of living in our country unless they do so legally. Does anyone think that the jobs that nobody wants to do will go undone if we have no illegal aliens to do them? Of course not! We’ll simply pay more for them. Employers must be forced to obey the laws regarding employment and stop being so damn greedy. We must stop enabling illegal aliens to take advantage of our generosity. It’s as simple as that. If you feel bad for people in other countries, join the Peace Corps and go help them. I have the greatest respect for those who act on their beliefs. Most liberals are too lazy or busy making a living to act on their beliefs. They prefer to lobby for open borders to assuage their guilt instead of contributing to our nation and it’s people.

Are we going to check 20 plus million of them? I hardly think so. The U.S. Government is behind on background checks on U.S. citizens awaiting security clearances. It would take many years to check out 20 million illegals even if it was possible to follow their trail.

You don’t. People that lie and cheat to get into this country and steal another’s identity surely will lie and cheat on “back” taxes.

Will not happen! No need to learn English as they are spoon-fed documents in Spanish.

Again, it will not happen unless we give them an installment plan of say, 30 years to pay. Who is going to undertake the task of keeping the books of 20 plus million illegals to make sure the fine is paid.
The term comprehensive immigration is a farse and our Congress thinks the average American citizen is mentally disabled and doesn’t realize that “comprehensive” equals amnesty. They are the fools!

Since when did liberals start to think? I thought they just followed along like lemmings.
This is a good topic.
The solution to the amnesty issue is to simply enforce the existing law and to make no new ones that require anything but the existing law to be enforced.
Over time (even if it takes 10 years), illegals will realize that they will forever not be allowed to obtain citizenship, and will also realize they must go home and follow the existing legal immigration process.
We must continue to put pressure on businesses who hire them, continue to refuse to do business with any known illegal immigrant, continue to put political pressure on our elected officials to enforce the existing law, and continue to demand our rights as citizens be given “equal justice under the law. Over 10 years we can slow the rate of illegal immigration to be below the threshold we set for legal immigration to gain a zero sum outcome, and eventually locate and deport all 20 million illegal immigrants, who will mostly self deport for lack of jobs, social support programs and educational opportunities they do not deserve, but demand as alien non-residents.
We must also continue to fight racism everywhere we see it and from any race, gender, religion or ethnicity who exhibits supremacy behaviors, focus only on individual rights under the law, and individuals prosecuted under the existing law (one by one), until the nation changes its attitudes and social morals to be more ethical and safety conscious than it currently is. This is very necessary to preserve our democracy and prevent “alien factions” from taking over our government and our nation.
We need to bring back the days of tough cops being tough on criminals, and citizens who speak out loudly, and stand up for and protect their individual rights especially when law is being broken by factional groups who support racism, gender, religious and ethnic preference and privilige as a means of undermining Democracy.
Sure, illegals will have to pay a fine. Make that check out to the Democratic Party, thank you very much!!

Michael, I agree with what you said 100 percent but…… in real life it will not happen that way. As long as we have corporate elites who want slave labor and a U.S. Chamber of Commerce that wants total amnesty for the illegals, nothing of what you suggested will come to pass. This current government is beholden to the Latino vote and it is close to payback time for them. Latino groups are now making noises that if comprehensive immigration (amnesty) is not passed by the end of the year, the Democrats will lose their votes (who are they going to vote for then?) The Republican have already lost their votes and now the Democrats are being threatened. Maybe that would be the best thing for this country. No one will have to worry about getting the Latino vote. It is only a matter of time when they start running their own candidates and by pure numbers alone, will win elections and run this country as their native lands are now being run unless we stop this immigration madness and deport them all.
Since McDonnell tossed his hat into the ring, I have tried to get him, or a member of his staff, to share his stand on illegal aliens in VA and E-Verify as a state mandate.
Illegal aliens are now estimated to be near a million - living in the Commonwealth, working at jobs that should be held by legal Virginia citizens.
Has anyone been able to nail McDonnell down on this issue? This is very important to me, and will determine if I vote for a candidate on the ballot or exercise my right to a Write In Vote.
Some have said we’re missing the mark if we make this a single issue election. The toll taken on the Commonwealth by illegal aliens is hardly a single issue:
It affects just about every line item in our budgets (state and local) - and our taxes
McDonnell promise to create jobs - but for whom?
Benefits and services for legal Virginia citizens are compromised because illegal aliens continue to make anchor babies they can not afford to care for, demanding VA’s tax payers take care of them.
To care for the growing number of anchor babies, services to legal Virginia residents are compromised and in some areas cut.
At a time when the children of legal Viriginia citizens are especially in need of health care, portions of SCHIP have been reallocated to FAMIS to pay for pre and post natal care for illegal aliens.
School boards are cutting back on teachers, creating larger classrooms, degrading the quality of education our children are receiving.

McDonnell needs to address this. He can’t be allowed to skirt the issue or play the same games being played by VA pols now.
If McDonnell is truly interested in creating jobs for Virginia citizens, he needs to rid the state of illegal aliens and guarantee Virginia citizens are hired for these jobs.
If he’s not prepared to do this, he is just blowing smoke. Personally, I would rather have a Democrat whose upfront and honest about illegal aliens in the Governor’s mansion. That’s better than a Republican who uses the party name to lie to voters, and then give a wink and nod to businesses to hire thousands of illegal aliens for the millions of dollars of tax funded stimulus jobs coming to the area.

Our government fails the most basic and primary task & duty of government, to protect this Nation and its Citizens from invasion and enforce its laws.

Recent statements in Mexico from both President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary something needs to be done. “Our inability to prevent weapons from being illegally smuggled across the border to arm these criminals causes the deaths of police officers, soldiers, and civilians,” she said.
But no mention, concern or care that their refusal to stop the Massive Invasion of Illegal Aliens pouring across our borders or enforce our immigration laws that causes an estimated 25 Americans deaths per day and 10,s of thousands victims of Assault, Robberies, Rapes, Identify thief, and other assorted crimes committed by the invading horde of Illegal Aliens from Mexico on American citizens each year!
It is a telling indictment & shows their Empathy & Compassion of our Politicians & their priorities when they express 100,s of time more concern over three Terrorist being water broader than the havoc & crimes of Illegal Aliens against American Citizens!

I agree wholeheartedly with what you have stated. One question though. Who is going to put them on trial for treason and impeach them. They are holding all the cards! You can vote them out but the next batch seems worse than the previous.
Sounds like a revolution might be in order.
