The Islamic Saudi Academy in Fairfax County is not only still in business, but according to the Saudi Watch blog there’s a hearing tomorrow to see whether it’s going to get bigger. Wasn’t one valedictorian becoming an Al-Queda terrorist enough? Do we really need to be encouraging more of this right in Fairfax County?
The United American Committee, ACT for America, the Traditional Values Coalition, the Virginia Anti-Sharia Task Force, American Constitution and Capitalism Defense Front, and citizens of Fairfax County need your help. The Islamic Saudi Academy is seeking to expand a campus in Fairfax County, and our County Supervisors are too cowardly to hold the ISA accountable. The ISA has the Saudi Government and CAIR supporting it and we need reinforcements.

Some citizen’s groups sent out a press release on this that kinda makes your hair stand on end, and they’re not even mentioning that the director of the school was convicted of covering up reports of child sexual abuse because it was a girl that was reporting it, and in the culture this school seems to maintain, when girls complain about sexual abuse, it doesn’t merit any consideration. Even if you’re legally require to report it to the authorities.

FOR MONDAY HEARING ON RADICAL ISLAMIC ACADEMY
EVENT: Fairfax County, VA Board of Supervisors hearing on Islamic Saudi Academy expansion plan

The Fairfax County, Virginia Board of Supervisors will hold its final hearing Monday night to consider a plan by the Saudi government-owned Islamic Saudi Academy to expand its campus in the county. The Islamic Saudi Academy is planning to build an immense Shariah-ruled campus in Fairfax to teach the apartheid doctrines of Shariah. As usual, Fairfax officials are bending over to help, even though the Islamist campus may severely damage the environment of the neighborhood and cause unmanageable traffic. This massive ISA campus is opposed by a rapidly growing group of Fairfax taxpayers who will testify July 13.
In 1985, the Fairfax Board of Supervisors refused a school permit filed by Robert L. Thoburn for the Fairfax Christian School - on the identical property, for fewer students, and a generation ago with less traffic and less environmental risk.
ISA faculty and graduates have been implicated and convicted in numerous terrorism-related crimes: to assassinate the President of the United States, launch homicide missions against Israel, board airlines with a concealed weapon and photograph bridge structures in the Washington, DC area. An International Commission cited the school for textbooks which advocated murdering Jews and contained numerous other anti-Christian, anti-Semitic and anti-American tirades. Radio commentator and Fair Oaks Church pastor David Stokes discusses the highly controversial school’s association with multiple terrorist-related arrests and convictions in “The County and the School of Hate” at townhall.com and adds: “In the case of ISA, there appears to be an almost fawning and subservient approach on the part of many county leaders.”
The Fairfax County government recently sent invitations to a free dinner presentation on Islam as a religion of “peace and harmony” to county churches and to some who have testified against the Academy’s planned expansion in the past. County government personnel and resources were used to distribute the e-mailed invitations.
“The Fairfax County government has been compromised and the Saudis and their radical cohorts are getting their money’s worth out of all of their political contributions,” said James Lafferty, chairman of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force. “Churches and synagogues here can’t even get the government to talk to them, let alone help them proselytize.
“Fairfax County government is already following the first rule of Shariah law – Islam is the state religion and the only religion. While brave American men and women are dying to defeat terrorists – spineless Fairfax County politicians turn a deaf ear to terrorism in its midst.”

Unbelievable! I’m especially incensed about the email blast on behalf of ISA. I’m sure Gerry Connolly is helping to push this through behind the scenes.
A religious school that covers up sexual abuse - I’ve never heard of such a thing!
Surely all schools that commit such a horrible act receive the same attention from this blog.
[Ed note: Apparently you haven’t been paying attention because sexual abuse cases in local schools get plenty of attention here. This is the first area school that participated in a cover-up instead of complying with the law in reporting abuse allegations, which makes the case particularly troubling.]

I lived on Richmond Avenue about five or so houses down from ISA and while I didn’t know of specific incidents of terrorist training, etc (other than the confirmed curricular aspects of it that were reported in the news) I was concerned by the blatant disrespectful attitudes of the students, very young ones at that, towards “outsiders”. One incident that sticks out specifically; my children and I were driving past the school and several little boys who appeared to be 3rd or 4th grade age were standing along the fence. We waived at them (I’m from a small town and can’t seem to stop participating in small town traditions such as waiving at strangers!) and our friendly gestures were returned by the boys with “the bird”.
I was shocked and couldn’t believe that such small children would behave that way. I wondered at the time if this and other similar incidents were reflective of the decline in basic respect that many young people have today, or if it was indicative of the culture and teachings of ISA.
I’m not sure, but I am sure that expansion is a bad idea and I’m hopeful that Fairfax County has enough sense to realize before it’s too late.
You guys love “the rule of law” until it’s inconvienient. You would have the Fairfax Couty BoS annoit themselves a court of law and deny zoning applications based on prior bad behavior of pror students attending school at a given geographic location? There would be no need for a trial and an entire group of people could be punished for the actions of a few individuals formerly associated with the group. Zoning is no longer zoning. It is a pseudo-criminal procedure applied retroactively to those who now occupy a place formerly occupied by criminals. By this logic, the Univerity of Virginia should be shut down because of the widespread pot smoking that occured on that campus in the 1970s.
I am sympathetic to your goal of preventing people from teaching anti-American hatred to children - especially in America! Revoke the tax exempt status by (correctly) claiming that the school isn’t really a school. If there is criminal activity ongoing in the facility then the police and prosecutors’ office should be investigating. Put the criminals in jail. But the misdirected and overly emotional screed against the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors is pretty ridiculous. If there are real zoning issues then deny the application. But asking the BoS to use zoning as a way to enforce unprosecuted criminal law and maintain cultural norms? I thought you “conservatives” opposed government agencies over-stepping their lawful boundaries. Or are your “core conservative values” only applicable when it’s convienient?
