Gerry Connolly Fails “Fill In The Blank” Test, AGAIN!
By Greg L | 17 July 2009 | Gerry Connolly, Fairfax County, US Congress, Prince William County | 5 Comments

Once again, Congressman Gerry Connolly is sending out responses to constituent mail that demonstrate he doesn’t care one bit about what they have to say. This latest episode is even more amusing in that Not Larry Sabato was the recipient of this latest demonstration of Connolly’s deep care and respect for the people who voted him into office. Maybe next time around, after having seen how horrible he is, they won’t.
As it turns out, the problem is much bigger. I’m hearing there were many letters like this sent out, and I have just received another one in my email today. This is constituent service at its worst, and shows an office totally in chaos.
If this continues, voters will likely send Connolly this automated message:
Gerry, thank you for your interest in re-election. Unfortunately due to your job performance we will have to ______ you.
I can think of just a few things to use to fill in that blank. One would certainly translate into a strong desire to support Keith Fimian in a re-match.

I have received 2 letters like that. Its not an isolated case.
Gerry’s the MAN!!!
Tell Fimian to run a real campaign next time. He should hasve mopped the floor with Ole Jet Fuel Gerry. Instead, he became more boring than watching paint dry. Let’s go Republicans - run like you mean it.
Of course, Twinkie-boy Ben didn’t exactly endorse the Republican candidate over Connolly and won’t the next round, either. He refuses to say whether or not he encouraged his friends and family to vote for Fimian.
I agree with Groveton that Fimian needed to run a more effective campaign. For all we complain about Connolly, he is a very effective campaigner and debater. It will take the right candidate to exploit Gerry’s weaknesses, and it might take someone other than Fimian to do that.
I agree he should run a more effective campaign.
