An Inside Look At Nationalized Health Care

By Greg L | 20 July 2009 | National Politics | 10 Comments

Congress wants to re-make our health care system into something approximating what Canadians experience.  Here’s a look at what Canadian health care really looks like, so you’ll know what to expect if this gets rammed down our throats.  In a nutshell, you’ll end up paying a lot more, and your dog will get more effective medical treatment than you will.  Really.

Obama needs to get his head on straight ,as well as those in Congress.

The Nurse said the man couldn’t get a Blood Test till he saw a Doctor. He said he tried but they said it would be 2 to 3 years. She said yes, that what it is.But said well your young,so you have time to wait.

How does she know that as many young people die. If we get this Socialize Medicine here our Young People will die before their time and we will not have a Free America.

Everyone needs to write Obama and the Congress,as this is not good for our Country.

I knew it was bad up there and I knew Socialize Medicine is bad, but this is pure
neglegent and uncalled for, for anyone to go through this mess.
Lets get our letters out today.

    Thanks, for this review.

I have perused some of the Health Care bill- 1018 pages in all. The “government” - you know, the one that is supposed to be, By the People, Of the People and For the People, is imposing strict control over all employers - ALL - and individuals. Taxing those who elect not to get government controlled insurance - called a “non-electing employer”. Your freedom of choice has been narrowed to little or none…or else. The entire bill has been hitched to the I.R.S. There are more provisions, fees, taxes, rules, regulations and compliances that will make a lawyer smile all the more – just what the doctor ordered? Yes, all 1018 pages of control, socialism and government expansion like nothing we have ever seen. I thought when we gave up our rights at airport security we were in trouble until this came along. At least at the airport, you weren’t taxed because you didn’t take your shoes off fast enough or lost the key to your lock.
This “bill” is beyond absurd. I know, Al Franken really turned this in as a late SNL joke!

    I wish.

Then again, Mr. “Present” continues his teardown of individual choice and the total absence of real health care reform like Tort Law reform, controlling liability insurance cost to medical personnel, hospitals and emergency rooms as well as ensuring continuing medical coverage for unemployed. No one is entitled to any insurance, not just health insurance. It is not a “right”.

We made it 233 years with the system that is in place. Why this sudden rush to “fix” this “broken and failed” system? The government - republicans and democrats - cannot “fix” a real broken system like social security and Medicare, how can they fix this when it is not really broke but in need of some tuning - a few steps at a time? Do we continue to trust the government with a decision so big as this? I think I have done very well deciding who, when and what health care I need. The government, with all there new taxes, fees and whatever, can NEVER improve our health care quality and system.

    “AFFORDABLE” does NOT mean better!

I come from Canada. I left because of the creeping socialism there (creeping? hell, its communism!).

    The health care system SUCKS!
    1. All the good doctors left when their salaries got capped.
    2. The system is overburdened by people who know how to “get the most for the least”. There is no deductible.
    3. There are quotas! You have lung cancer? Oh, we only do 1000 of those a year… and you are number 1001!
    4. For decent care many Canucks head south of the border, where they can get a good doctor, who gets paid for his 10 years of post secondary education. I wonder what they will do now.

I suspect the lawyers (i.e. malpractice lawyers, and their buddies the malpractice insurance salesmen) are the ones making the money down here. Isn’t that amazing? Lawyers… the same type of scum we have running our country.

BTW… my friends back in Canada typically pay 45% income tax. They work until June before they see income! Welcome to the machine, folks!

If you bother to examine the bill, it certainly is. There’s no way a taxpayer-subsidized “public option” can compete with private companies that have to make a profit, particularly under the onerous regulation this would impose. If there was going to be a level playing field, why would we need to pony up another trillion dollars in taxes to support government competition in the health care business?

What is being proposed will destroy private health care as we know it. The only thing Americans generally are concerned with are the costs for the system, many of which are a result of government mandates in the first place. If we simply got government out of the health care business altogether and reduced the regulatory burden it imposes, and reigned in lawsuit abuse, we could easily drop the cost of health insurance likely by half.

Government isn’t the solution. It’s the problem.

I hope all the a$$holes who voted for the “community leader” are happy, and are hit the hardest. I hope they regret their vote until the day they die!!!

Here’s someone who has read the health care bill and cites specific page references in the bill that show it IS nationalized socialized heath care. Read the bill yourself “Anonymous” if you do not believe it.

Hey kids — can you say “Establish a comprehensive system of central government control over every significant aspect of your lives and property. We’ll call it healthcare.”

The bigger the lie the better!

Our elected officials devote all their efforts to provide benefits to the illegals and then pass the bill to the tax paying citizens.

And, why don’t our elected officials and high level executive branch appointees accept the same medical plan they are foisting on us? Well, they are not stupid like we citizens are (stupid). They have a super medical plan (paid by - Guess Who) so why would they drop it for the inferior plan they have devised for us and the non-paying illegals.
