This screenshot from Barack Obama’s perpetual campaign shows that while Ilana Kaplan-Shain was being paid as the campaign manager for Jeanette Rishell, she was also organizing healthcare events in support of ObamaCare here in Manassas. If you happen to call the contact phone number listed for the event, the person answering the phone answers with “Rishell for Delegate”, so it’s not that much of a stretch to contend that Jeanette Rishell’s campaign manager was doing this with the full support of Jeanette Rishell. So is Jeanette Rishell working with the current administration to promote Obama’s socialized medicine agenda? It seems so.
It’s unusual for a House of Delegates campaign to be lending resources to a national political effort, especially when the campaign is in such deep trouble. Campaign managers don’t have endless amounts of spare time to work on things that don’t advance their candidate’s campaign. There are door’s to be knocked (even if you’re claiming you’re hitting a thousand doors a day), press releases to send out, and events to coordinate. Then of course for this campaign, there are inquiries about this specific campaign manager promoting hard-core pornography in schools and claiming that her pictures of used condoms discarded in toilets actually are the property of “Friends of Jeanette Rishell”, which cuts into the available time as well. So setting up and managing events designed to sell the federal government taking over an additional near-fifth of our economy isn’t a decision taken lightly. This is deliberate. And to the campaign, it is doubless important, as well.
So is Jeanette Rishell dedicated to advancing the hugely unpopular government intrusion in our healthcare system? She could have avoided the question by rightly pointing out this is a national issue, but she’s not doing that. She’s lending her campaign to “Organizing For America”, trying to make sure this monstrosity gets rammed down our throats.
Voters should be asking her lots of questions about this, and not taking they typical non-answers Rishell usually provides, but demanding some straight talk. If this is so important to her campaign that she’s going to lend her campaign manager to the effort and donate the use of her campaign’s resources, she ought to be able to explain to the voters why, and what this means for the agenda she wants to promote in the House of Delegates if elected.
If you’re not sure how to contact Jeanette Rishell’s campaign, you can reach them at 571-482-7703, when they’re not busy lending that phone number to “Organizing For America.” After you do, I’m sure readers will be very interested if you share what you learned.
