Trading Lives For The Convenience Of Illegal Aliens

By Greg L | 30 August 2009 | Illegal Aliens, Crime, Manassas City, Prince William County | 25 Comments

In the summer of 2007 and before the Section 287(g) Program got in full swing at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center, Manassas Park Police arrested Jose Martinez-Zeron for posessing fake identification documents.  Because this was a relatively low-level offense, this illegal alien was released on a $1,000 bond.  The day after he was released, this gang-banger murdered a woman in Manassas City in a manner bearing every hallmark of an MS-13 killing.  That gaping hole that allowed criminal illegal aliens to escape the consequences of their actions has since been closed, but the Obama administration wants to open it right back up again.

This case demonstrates just how the Obama administration is deliberately putting our lives in danger for the sake of ethnicity-based politics.  The far left contends that we shouldn’t spend so much time deporting illegal aliens who simply fail to graduate to major felonies because it separates families, it costs too much to actually enforce the law, or is somehow inhumane.  Instead, DHS Secretary Jane Napolitano has decided that instead of having DHS live up to their agreements with localities like Prince William County, they’d force those localities to accept a “one size fits all” agreement that eliminates all of the preformance targets of the federal government to actually remove criminal illegal aliens and replaces it with a three-tier priority classification for criminal aliens without any performance criteria for the federal government whatsoever.  Rememeber the days when Immigration and Customs Enforcement was having trouble removing all the illegals, causing jail overcrowding?  Then Congressman Frank Wolf jumped in and forced ICE to follow through on their promises.  Under the new agreement, that couldn’t happen.

What will happen is that ICE breaks criminal aliens into three levels, and removes them on a priority basis depending on which tier they fall into.  Serious violent felons make the top priority understandably, other felons make the second, and everything else falls into the third tier.  Under the current 287(g) Memorandum of Agreement, Jose Martinez-Zeron would have been identified as an illegal alien at the jail intake processing unit, slapped with a detainer, and held for ICE which would pick him up within 72 hours.  That would have prevented Breneley Ester Lessing-Yanes from being so brutally murdered that there was actually blood on the ceiling of her bedroom.  Under the MOU Napolitano is ramming down our throats, Martinez-Zeron would be identified as an illegal, fall into tier three, and ICE would almost certainly say they won’t pick him up, because they’re too busy with other things to bother with someone with fake ID’s, even if they’re three different identities.

Another illegal alien that would most probably escape deportation would be illegal alien Obidio Arita-Najera.  Arita-Najera got liquored up one night and went driving.  He crashed into a motorcycle driven by PWCPD Lieutenant Phillip Harrover who survived, but was badly injured and spent weeks in the hospital.  Arita-Najera tried to flee the scene of the accident, but was stopped by other drivers who were outraged that someone would nearly kill someone and then try to run away.  Arita-Najera got processed by the 287(g) Program and got an immigration detainer that either has, or will result in his deportation.  Under the new agreement, someone like Arita-Najera would fall into tier two since no one actually died, and depending on how motivated ICE happens to be at the moment he might get deported.  Might, not will.  Most likely with this administration, the answer would be he woould get released from jail after an appropriate sentence, back into our community to get liquored up and drive again until he actually kills someone.

The list of illegal aliens who were arrested on felony charges who had previous interactions with state and local law enforcement only to be set free goes on.  Marcos Danilo Reyes Banegas raped and sodomized an eight year old girl in Prince William County, but had previously been arrested in Montgomery County, MD on charges of assault and disorderly conduct they didn’t even bother to prosecute.  In Loudoun County, Arnold J. Mancia-Morales raped a 75 year old woman in her home in 2008, but In 2006 he was convicted of felony burglary, and four misdemeanor charges between 2007-2008, two of which were assaults. In 2007, after forcing himself on a young girl at the Sterling library, he received a 100-day sentence for the attack, but all of the time was suspended.  The current 287(g) Program would catch and deport all of these predators before they graduated to violent crime, provided those preliminary offenses happened in a jurisdiction with a Section 287(g) Program.  We’re one of those.

Criminal illegal alien murderers and rapists often don’t start right out with murder and rape.  They almost always start out with identity fraud, driving without a license, driving drunk and other lesser offenses that would, under the MOU getting rammed down our throats, virtually ensure that they would be released back into our communities instead of being deported.  That’s how we ended up with illegal aliens on our sex offender registry until Bob McDonnell did something about that.  Now that we’re actually getting all those low-level criminal illegal aliens and deporting them, the murder rate by illegal aliens in Prince William County has dropped to zero, from about half of all the murders in Prince William County in 2007.

The unavoidable result of the Obama administration’s decision to throw away current federal agreements and replace them with something more hopey-changey is that the number of American citizens being raped and/or murdered by illegal aliens will rise.  Illegal aliens who drive without a license, or drunk, or who steal identities or commit misdemeanor assaults will get a free ticket from ICE to unlawfully remain here as a trade off for those American lives.  While everyone but the fringe leftists think that deporting illegal aliens who commit crimes is not only the right thing to do but an imperative for government at all levels, the Obama administration is willing to trade American lives for the convenience of foreign nationals in the United States unlawfully and crack down not on illegal alien crime, but on deporting criminal aliens.

Irresponsibility doesn’t even begin to describe this outrage.  Our elected federal representatives must put a stop to this.

If the Obama administration gets it’s way, Cheif Charlie T. Deane will be a very happy man.

If you want to understand where the administration is coming from just look at the census projections a few years down the road. Within one generation the nation will become Mexico-Duo. The ship is sinking faster than the Titanic, and the iceberg is named Latin America.

Charlie Deane will only be a happy man because illegal aliens will now come forward and report being the victim of a crime without fear of deportation. It must be true because he said it was the basis for opposing the 287 (g) program. Because he really cares what actually happens to the individual hispanic who becomes the victim of a street robbery.

It makes my stomach turn when I hear people actually believing this man doesn’t support detention & deportation because of a link to crime victims not reporting incidents to the police. Again, this is simply image policing. The less incidents that occur between his department & minority citizens/illegals produces less opportunities for public controversy.

You have to have a law & order mentality & reputation before anyone will believe you’re the patron saint of all illegal immigrants within the borders of PWC for the sake of fighting crime.

Don’t worry Chuck. Based on your years of service, I’m sure you’ll still have a county building named after you. You don’t need to sell out public safety to insure your place in county history.

It is very simple even a Left wing liberal should be able to comprehend. You cannot allow a tidal wave of Uneducated third world rejects that are Anti-education, Pro-welfare, Pro-gangs, Pro-uncontrolled breeding that starts early & often into a first world Nation without transforming the Nation into a facsimile of the very Nation the invaders are fleeing!

We won’t get any sympathy re illegal immigration and it’s effects on Virginia citizens from governor candidate McDonnell. Read the story in today’s InsideNova.com, particularly the section titled “On Hispanic Voters.” It is clear that McDonnell will do NOTHING about illegals in this state and he in fact appears to be “in bed with them.”

Black Saint is right on the money.

The same reason the left will not comprehend this simple fact is why they resort to name calling instead of supporting their positions with actual facts. One needs only look to the east and see the Islamification of the European continent which was brought about by similar left leaning “diversity” thinking.

These same tactics are being used against the American population to fuel the “Mexification” of the United States. The incremental compromises to what is American, under the guise of “diversity”, will be our undoing. Hablo ingles? Not for long if this keeps up.

Like border enforcement, I don’t think that is really on the agenda.

“In 1999, under President Bill Clinton, the US government collected $3.69 million in fines from 890 companies for employing undocumented workers. In 2004, under President George Bush, the federal government collected $188,500 from 64 companies for such illegal employment practices. And in 2004, the Bush Administration levied NO fines for US companies employing undocumented workers. ”

I spoke with McDonnell on a blogger conference call about his stand on illegal aliens, and I believe he’s with us on this. In addition to getting all illegal aliens deported who were on the sex offender registry as Attorney General, McDonnell supports E-Verify being mandatory for the Commonwealth. If the 287(g) program isn’t gutted by the Obama administration, McDonnell favors having all state law enforcement agencies participate in the program.

I don’t think you can rightly characterize him as soft on illegal aliens. He just happens to like legal immigrants, like the rest of us.

“McDonnell favors having all state law enforcement agencies participate in the program.”

All state law enforcement agencies would be the Sheriff, State Police and ABC agents. He doesn’t think City, Town or County Police should participate in the program?

State agencies would include the State Police, prisons and the DMV. Those are the ones he has authority over with his executive powers. The Governor doesn’t direct Sheriff’s Departments or the police forces of the localities. If you want changes made there, you’ll have to take that up with the General Assembly.

We should have the economy that Ireland is now experiencing. The Irish have throughout the ages pulled themselves up out of the mire and bettered themselves. Can that be said truthfully, today of the Hispanics?

That article in NoVa talked about Hispanics that can vote.

THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THE ILLEGALS

There has been nothing saying McDonnell supports Illegal coming and breaking our Laws.

Tito the Plumber and wife are citizens of the U.S.and are voting citizens.

I wonder WHO is now trying to put all people in the same Boat?

The Liberals/Democrats will say one thing and then do another.

    So watch out.

    Vote McDonnell.

Of course nothing has officially been said about supporting illegals. He would be crazy do so. Why has he not come out with his stand on illegal immigration one way or another? Too many times the word immigrant has been used instead of “illegal immigrant.” Which one does he mean?

You are correct sir, but so is this country with 10.5% unemployment and many others. However, Ireland’ economy is projected to lead all of Europe’s within a decade. Not too shabby from famine to feast. :)
