Connolly Restricts Heritage Hunt TownHall
By Greg L | 2 September 2009 | Gerry Connolly, Prince William County | 7 Comments
Got this in my inbox from someone who was at Heritage Hunt today, where Congressman Gerry Connolly will be holding a Town Hall meeting tonight:
We just got back from my mom’s place and while there watched the [Heritage Hunt] announcements on their internal cable channel. That’s the same system I have. Last time I watched it they were discouraging residents from bringing guests. The announcement has been changed to say no visitors or guests; [Heritage Hunt] residents only. Great for our democracy when our elected reps restrict access only to a select few.
So the families of Heritage Hunt residents who might want to ask their elected representative what the legislation he supports will do to their parents aren’t allowed in. That’s ridiculous. Having town hall meetings with selected constituents that are closed to the public demonstrates a level of desperation on Congressman Gerry Connolly’s part that is beyond ridiculous. If Congressman Gerry Connolly doesn’t want to hear from constituents about the legislation he supports, he should resign.
It’s part of the darned job.
If you want to protest in front of the gate at Heritage Hunt tonight, I’d suggest you get there by 6:30PM. Across the street there’s a retail/office complex which should have parking available.

Isn’t this age discrimination? Whereas, those under 55 cannot attend a public hearing before an elected official?
What would Gerry say if Frank Wolf had a public hearing and excluded male 55-78 year old Democrat transgenders that refused to give up their Home Depot senior discount cards for senior vibrator discounts at Fredericks of Hollywood?
Thats ok he’ll see everyone on his way out!
Teddy you’re cracking me up. RIP. Wonder what Maryjo said when he arrived at the pearly gates?
Maybe Gerry is making them all wish they were facing a death panel instead.

Not unlike the storming of the Bastille, as many people as possible should show up and demand to be heard. If they are denied entrance, they should wait for ConMan outside and demand to be heard at that time. If they are once again denied, they should at once commence recall procedures.
As for Mary Jo and Dead Ted meeting at the pearly gates - never gonna happen. Dead Ted gets a one way ticket southbound BECAUSE mary Jo is already upstairs in the first place.
OK, that’s it. Back to work people.
