A Simple Question, No Answers

Will Creigh Deeds raise taxes if elected, or won’t he? That’s the question reporters couldn’t figure out at the conclusion of the debate in Fairfax today, and Deeds’ attempts to evade the question are hilarious.
Just tell us you’re going to raise taxes and be done with it, Mr. Deeds.

Not related, but the House voted 345 to 75 to defund ACORN. How did our local congressmen vote? Wolf voted aye, Moran no, and Cowardly Connolly abstained.
The vote essentially denies all federal funding to Acorn.
The “young lady” comment was a real put down. Some might say “sexist”. Guess ol’ Creigh was feeling the pressure after McDonnell took him apart in the debate…
Absolutely–Deeds did not treat the female reporter with the same respect that he have the male reporters. VERY sexist.
Isn’t Deed’s the one that is saying how McDonnell is the sexist. Deed’s sounded like a total idiot here. If McDonnell had sounded like this, I wouldn’t vote for either one of them.
Let’s see if the main stream media writes about how Deeds is a weasel and tried to make it look like he wouldn’t raise taxes. This is why the Tea Parties got started. He tried not to lie by saying, ” I wouldn’t raise taxes for the general fund.” He kept saying that so he wouldn’t have to lie about raising taxes other places. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
Great job Deed’s. BTW- Still haven’t heard about his plan with illegal’s in our prisons.
JM
Why not go to Haymarket Day on Saturday and ask the cowardly Congressman why he abstained on the vote. He should be available immediately after the parade say 10:30-11:00
BVBL, didn’t Deeds flip on his position on collective bargaining with the Sheriff’s Association? Said he was for it in their survey but against it at their convention?
Wonder if the FOP in PWC is aware that he’s trying to be on both sides of the issue…he was for it before he was against it, sort of thing…
At least Deeds is lying now so if the FOP endorses him (and they should NOT) they won’t be surprised when he lies to them later….
Speaking of gutless, BVBL may want to take note of Gerry Connolly, who managed to be present for ALL votes today, except -conveniently-the one that de-funded ACORN. Yet he showed up 10 minutes after that vote for another vote. See: http://www.redstate.com/brianfaughnan/2009/09/17/gerry-connollys-dodge/
If he can’t answer “No” right away, then you know what the answer is!
To Raise, or Not To Raise; Also: Things That Would End a Republican’s Career…
Creigh Deeds, the somewhat less than intelligent candidate for the Virginia Governorship, hosts a post-debate wrapup session with reporters that is pretty stunning in its own right.
Let’s see if, after watching this video, you can figure out if Cre…
I listened to the last twenty minutes of today’s debate, and came away with with the feeling Deeds does not have one single good idea for the Commonwealth. He does not want to spend a lot of time on illegal aliens, does not want to keep taxes low, seems to want to side with unions, etc.
It’s sad to see someone fall apart in front of the cameras as he did in this clip. He simply can’t bring himself to say the words tax increase.
(Ahem.)
If a Republican had made a statement like that “Young lady” remark, it would (a) be ALL OVER the news immediately, and (b) end his career in a very short period of time.
I’ve contacted VANOW to see what their opinion of this little outburst is. I’m betting their response will be somewhere along the lines of dragging McDonnell’s 20-year-old paper back out again.
Because 1989 is so exactly relevant to what just happened in 2009, right?
Anyway. We’ll see where this leads. Hopefully the Post will step out of the Deeds campaign office long enough to actually cover this tirade.
Regards,
Brian
We have an answer all right. Deeds brags about raising taxes on his own website.

Looks like old “hit and run” Connolly is owned by Acorn.
Thats probably how he won.
If he voted before and directly after he’s dumber than he thinks we are.
Hmm, Congressman “Hit and Run” changes the time of a last minute meeting in Gainesville with little or no notice, locks his constituents out of his Town Hall Meeting and misses the Acorn vote. This weekend he is going to be the Grand Marshall of the Haymarket Day parade, seems to me that at some point Saturday morning he will be about a mile from his car amongst thousands of his constituents, nowhere to run or hide, at least quickly.
At least he didn’t recommend a “study group” for ACORN.
Glenn Beck just played the clip of Deed’s on the radio. They were laughing their donkey behinds off.
