Working on a bunch of projects right now that don’t afford me much opportunity to talk about how Jeanette Rishell looked like a complete goof at the Prince William Committee of 100 debate tonight, and about how John Bell got taken to school by Bob Marshall.  I saw some readers in the audience, and this is a good opportunity for you to share your impressions from tonight’s events.

Rishell asked to have the questions repeated so many times she either didn’t understand the simple question or she wasn’t paying attention. She knew she couldn’t go head to head with Jackson so she started picking on Bob McDonnell for his thesis.

I thought the questions were pretty tame and generic this time around versus two years ago. Even though they let the audience submit questions none of those questions submitted were asked as far as I could tell. I believe all the quesitons asked were from the Committee of 100. I didn’t think that was fair.

Just my first impression of the debates.

Congratulations Delegate Marshall and Delegate Miller!!!

    You clearly won your debates.

I am sure that Jeanette will claim victory. She might even issue a press-release claiming so. She is operating from Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” which advises leftists to “create reality” ie make stuff up, shout it to the roof-tops, and do so repeatedly, the theory being if done effectively, it becomes common belief and thus, reality.

I have a feeling that as the days grow short, and her desperation long, she will step up the attacks, and they will become increasingly bizzare. She doesn’t want to accept that her window of electability slammed shut during the LAST election.

Ms. Rishell argued that Virginia needed to invest in wind power. The problem is, Jackson Miller is one of the leaders in Richmond pushing for more investments in wind power. He authored and passed a key bill to make sure this happens - with very broad bipartisan support. Ms. Rishell was left complaining that, while Miller had done exactly what she said needed to be done, he hadn’t done it perfectly, so he was still wrong.

Most bizarrely, Ms. Rishell harped on the issue, raising it three times. She needs to know that that issue is one of Miller’s strongest as it nicely highlights both one of his accomplishments and his ability to work with the Democrats. By raising it (three times!), Ms. Rishell undermined two of the central themes of her candidacy: Miller isn’t doing anything for Virginia and he is an extremist.

Why would any rational candidate do that?

I understand Mrs. Rishell thinks we need a full time “Politician” in Richmond. What we need are legislators like Jackson Miller to continue thier efforts in promoting the best interests of his or her constituents.
It is amazing to me that she is compelled to rebuff Thomas Jefferson’s vision of the citizen legislator!
As to her new found interest in supporting Del. Miller’s energy program in Virginia, maybe her vast experience as a Political Consultant (7 or 8 months) would be a huge help.

    Manassasinsider -

That’s a quote from Ms. Rishell. While she supports wind energy and thinks we should promote it in Virginia, Ms. Rishell thinks that Miller’s bill (that does exactly that) didn’t do enough, and therefore it was a bad bill. Specifically, she criticized Miller for not promoting large-scale wind farms in Virginia - while he was making it much easier to build smaller farms. It was an odd critique and a good bill on a subject that Miller owns. Is that the best she has? Why in the world would she choose that bill and that issue to hit Miller? Will she criticize his understanding of police procedures next?

The majority of voters know how to touch the (D) on the touch

be her worst defeat. Always thought Jackson would win, but also

Read the account of the Miller/Rishell debate in the local fish-wrap. Jeanette is like fall fashions….something new and different every year… Now she’s an advocate for the 2nd Ammendment? She’s against someone having the right to buy and sell guns from their private collections, in a public place like a gun-show (which ALWAYS have BATFE and State Troopers under-cover), without the purchaser being subjected to a background check, but on the otherhand, she’s in support of that same person having the right to sell a gun to another in their living room?

How about this? How about keeping the laws that would be used to prosecute a prohibited person from purchasing a firearm anywhere, posessing a firearm, or otherwise owning a firearm, and getting rid of the laws that restrict the 2nd ammendment rights of law-abiding citizens? Watching Jeanette campaign is like watching someone polish a turd….in the end, it’s just shiney Sh*t

Even FDRs secreatry of the treasurery Henry Morhanthau said in 1939 “We are spending more than we have ever spent before and it does not work”. He sais this after the unemployment rate had hit 20% again. I called Bell on it after the debate and Bell looked like he was on Crack. He emphasized many times about he was a big wheel financial expert in the USAF, even though he retired as a major. An Air Force major pulls about as much weight as a PFC in the USMC. Ex..spurt, has been under pressure.

Considering that sleeper cells devoted to Islamic fundamentalism here in America are apparently beginning to “wake up,” make Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch site one of your favorites:

    http://www.jihadwatch.org/

And check out info on Jamaat ul Fuqra, especially in relation to Red House, VA. There are also Jamaat ul Fuqra communities in Colorado and NY (sound familiar?).

Take it from someone who has studied Islam while in college, jihad (”struggle”) is not just demonstrated via terroristic acts, but also as “silent” jihad, which is achieved through social and judicial changes in order to ensure that a country such as the U.S. is forced to accommodate Muslims, even though such accommodation could evolve into sharia.

Guess I can now be labeled an Islamophobe for deviating from the political correctness of “Islam is a peaceful religion.”

When are the investigations going to start in PWC, Manassas City and Manassas Park. The same shennanigans were occuring in these areas at the same time and probably being done by the same “realtors.” Take a look at the yellow McMansion on Lomand Drive on the left-hand side just before the Westgate shopping center. InTheNavy, Ironically you described what Christian Conservatives are also attempting to do. They are also attempting to impose Christian Conservative values on the entire Country through social and judicial changes in order to ensure that all Citizens of the United States are forced to accommodate their beliefs. McDonnell’s college thesis demonstrates a case in point (a roadmap for imposing Conservative Christian values on the state of Virginia through the political process). So… what’s the difference?

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with groups using peaceful means to influence our Government whether they are Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Secular Humanists, or whatever. Such is the nature of our Democracy. Our size and diversity are what makes this mix work.

His thesis is a convenient example of a special interest group attempting to influence public policy through social and judicial changes. I’m not sure why you see McDonnall’s thesis as having some link to Terrorism; however, that was clearly not my intent.

Here is an example of why hiring illegal aliens is not economically productive for the United States . Try to follow along.

You have two families: “Joe Legal” and “Jose Illegal”. Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California ..

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash “under the table”.

    Ready? Now pay attention.

    Joe Legal:
$25..00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

    Jose Illegal:
$15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600..00 per week, or $31,200.00 per year. Jose illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legalnow has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare. Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year… Joe Legal now has $9,631.00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $25,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal

    now w has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, “We don’t need no stinkin’ insurance!” and still has $25,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $25,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month.

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal’s and Jose Illegal’s children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children’s lunches while Jose Illegal’schildren get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal’s children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal’s children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

    Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens…

You are part of the problem!

It’s way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans!
