New Rich Anderson Video

By Greg L | 1 October 2009 | 51st HOD District | 12 Comments

Rich Anderson knocks another one out of the park with this video.  I understand that the arabic man in the video shaking hands with Rich was the translator for General Myers in Afganistan, and is now a newly-minted American citizen who will be casting his vote for Rich Anderson on November 3rd.

Does Rich support the extended unemployment benefits that his Republican buddies turned back to the federal governement if he is so concerned about the mother whose husband just lost his job.

An obvious and shameless effort to pander to those who may have supported Faisal Gill, but remember the perfidy of some Republicans.

I find it interesting that Paul Nichols’ campaign staff seems to think that posting here is a good idea for the campaign.

Would any of you have the guts to be a translator for the American military in Afghanistan?

Is he/she not supporting the US, whether Muslim or not?

What’s wrong with supporting those who support the US at the risk of their lives?

James, I’ve known Rich for quite a while, and he’s a good man. I’m somewhat surprised you’d think that supporting a good man and a good friend would be “pandering.”

I’ve known him for a long time, too, Greg, and remembering my oath, I won’t comment about Rich beyond that. You’re mistaken, however, if you have concluded that my comment was directed at you. It was not. In fact, it was directed at the campaign that produced this video. I don’t know if you had any part in that.

Hey, anything we can do to convince conservative Muslims that we don’t all hate them or think they are terrorists is a good thing. I don’t imagine everybody will agree with me on that, but hopefully most do.

It’s probably easier since it’s not the candidate. :-)

Oh, I agree, Charles. However, this site is probably not the best forum to try “to convince conservative Muslims that we don’t all hate them or think they are terrorists.” See these articles (http://www.bvbl.net/index.php/category/virginia-house/51st-hod-district/faisal-gill/).

I don’t remember anybody making the Faisall Gill campaign about Muslims… except maybe the Faisall Gill campaign and his strongest supporters. I remember there was a question about illegals voting in the convention, but that was because there was enough evidence to suggest that it was quite possible given the crazy filing rules.

As for this video, I just wish that Rich had listed off 3 or 4 specific things or even principles that he proposes the General Assembly do to help the economy or help create a climate for producing jobs. Otherwise a very nice job on the video, especially having his wife recount what people are saying while going door-to-door in neighborhoods.

Jimmy, you just can’t get over your love for Faisal, can ya? :( If it weren’t for you, and others like you, who supported Faisal Gill, a man with terribly questionable associations and a huge amounts of other baggage, we’d have a fully capable and unquestionably loyal Republican incumbent in the HOD today. So sad!!

We now have a candidate who is unquestionably an American patriot, a man who has no ties to extremism, an imprisoned boss, and a man who has no record of ignoring civil law. We have a candidate now who has an extremely good chance to win the 51st House seat back. Give it a rest, Jimmy, and get on board.

Rich Anderson is running against Paul Nichols, not Faisal Gill. Rich will be representing a district full of different ethnicities that contribute to the beauty of our community and that is the point. Fixating on Gill is pointless. It’s a waste of time. Our responsibility at this moment is to support a candidate who is a fiscal conservative who will fight for progress and economic stability in VA full time, and that candidate is Rich Anderson.

Rich Anderson is absolutely the right man for the Virginia Assembly. It’s about time we send responsible men /women to Richmond that will be there for the relatively short legislative session to actually try to accomplish some things rather than spend the 90 days engaged in childish running gun battles about nonsense. Rich has the character, integrity, and common sense leadership that Richmond needs.
