Voter Guide

Here’s how I recommend voters cast their ballots in Prince William County on election day:

Governor: Bob McDonnell.  While all Deeds can talk about is raising taxes and social issues, Bob has been focused on jobs, transportation and fiscal discipline.  Especially during these times, it pays to have elected officials that actually address the issues that matter most to us.

Lieutenant Governor: Bill Bolling.  Bolling is a true conservative leader, while Jody Wagner’s horrific revenue estimates and accounting mistakes while serving in the Kaine administration have lead to terrible budget problems.  Return the adult to the Lt. Governor spot.

Attorney General: Only one candidate has demonstrated he knows the law and the duties of the office he’s seeking.  Ken Cuccinelli is the only qualified candidate here.

13th District HOD: Bob Marshall has been the kind of policy-focused maverick we need more of in Richmond, while Bell is little more than the choice of the homosexual activists that want to overturn the Marriage Amendment and foist gay “marriage” on us.  There’s no question this district is much better served by Bob Marshall.

50th District HOD: Jackson Miller has consistently proven himself to be an excellent delegate, while Jeanette Rishell continues to prove what a left-wing nutjob she is.  There shouldn’t even be a question about this district, given Rishell’s abominable behavior last election cycle.

51st District HOD: Paul Nichols has been excellent on immigration issues while being a big disappointment on a lot of other votes.  It might be a good idea to have Rich Anderson have a shot at this, who will continue the strong immigration stance while improving the district’s record on a lot of other issues.

52nd District HOD: Luke Torian is another huckster preacher with an extravagant lifestyle who has announced support for gay “marriage” and a lot of other positions that are really difficult to square with the Bible.  Raphael Lopez is a much safer bet than this Rev. Jeremiah Wright clone.

Frequent guest poster Sandford D. Horn also has some advice that he passed on that includes a lot of races outside of Prince William County:

Governor: Bob McDonnell - I’ve met and talked to Bob on myriad occasions here in Alexandria, at RJC events and he served us well as AG.

Lt. Governor: Bill Bolling - I have met and talked with Bill a couple of times and he has experience as our current Lt. Gov. to be reelected.

Attorney General: Ken Cuccinelli - I’ve known Ken nearly 10 years and believe he is just the kind of person we need at the helm in Justice.

In the following House of Delegate races, I am recommending the following candidates because I know them and personally support them:

District 45: Vicki Vasques (my district in Alexandria) a campaign I have been intimately involved with.

District 48: Aaron Ringel (Arlington) a friend and a campaign I have supported.

District 86: Tom Rust (Herndon) a friend and a campaigns I have supported.

District 46: Sasha Gong (Alexandria) a former Chinese political prisoner with the most compelling story of the campaign and a friend.

District 33: Joe May (Leesburg) a friend and business owner whose campaigns I have supported.

District 13: Bob Marshall (Manassas) a solid, unwavering conservative.

District 38: Danny Smith (Fairfax) a new friend, very impressive in debate formats and quite personable.

District 44: Jay McConville (Mt. Vernon) a new friend bringing a breath of fresh air to his race.

District 42: Dave Albo (Fairfax) an incumbent deserving of reelection.
