37th SD Special Election

Now that Ken Cuccinelli is the AG-elect, there’s the question of who is going to run for his Senate seat. This is the man I think will be the next Senator representing the 37th District:

Good call. Steve Hunt would be excellent.
Trust me, Steve Hunt is a friend to the grassroots in Fairfax. I remember back when he was on the school board he would come to our Fairfax City Unit Committee meetings all the time, and he didn’t have any jurisdiction over the city . . . well, they kind of did. But anyways, if you go to any Republican event in Fairfax County from a campaign kickoff, to a phone bank, to a fundraiser, a victory party, back to school nigths . . . Steve Hunt is always there. He’s earned this. He should have been reelected to the School Board, and remember his spot was county-wide so has some name ID. This is the exact kind of Republican we need, in the new tradition of McBollinelli. He’s one us, one of the grassroots, has deep experience in military service, in public service, in business, and in the community.
I can’t push hard enough how great this guy will be as a state senator. Lets get it done!
I’m personally with Steve Hunt also, a great candidate.

Let’s go Steve!!!
Mike Thompson announced a while ago that he was not going to run for the state senate.
Steve Hunt has proven that he can be elected county wide, has the name ID and the experience that can serve Fairfax County well in Richmond. He also will continue to represent the same pro family, pro life, small government values that served us so well when Cooch was Senator. I can not think of another person whom I would rather send to Richmond to represent us than Steve Hunt. Let’s get this guy elected! NOW!
I am in strong agreement with the sentiments of those comments already posted. Steve Hunt is a man of integrity, honor, and with a proven track record of responsible service to our nation and to Fairfax County. The only solution to the problems we see increasing by the hour in Congress, and with the Virginia legislature, is to elect representatives like Steve Hunt and empower them with our votes, and support, to do the right thing for the majority of constitencies served, regardless of the political expediency of the matter.
