And The Dem Nominee Will Likely Be…
By Greg L | 6 November 2009 | Fairfax County, Virginia Senate | 5 Comments
So far it’s looking like this buffoon Dave Marsden, who barely escaped getting beaten by an under-funded, relative unknown in his House District race this week, is the most likely Democrat to run for the Senate seat now vacated by Ken Cuccinelli in the 37th Senate District. Marsden even has to move into the district to qualify as a candidate! Oh, I can’t wait for this one…

This race featuring Dave “I don’t know the answer to that” Marsden will be even more fun than the race against Janet “I can’t finish a sentence” Oleszek.
I love that they’re moving a marginal Delegate into the district who will have to defend his weak and sometimes questionable legislative record. This election is the gift that keeps on giving.
Heh Let’s play guess where Dave moves?
To not give up his delegate seat he has to pick an area covered by both the 37th Senate District and 41st House.
Here are his choices:
105 FAIRVIEW
127 BURKE CENTRE
130 TERRA CENTRE
801 BURKE
811 POHICK
812 VALLEY
824 ORANGE
825 CHERRY RUN
833 WHITE OAKS
838 SANGSTER
842 PARKWAY
Here are the results from the most recent election of Marsden’s precincts which are also in the 37th Senate district.
I included Valley which isn’t in the 41st House in my previous post.

As someone noted earlier, Ken Bolognese came out of nowhere and almost took Marsden down.
He can move, but he may not be able to vote for his own nomination…

Even better, he can’t even FILE to run for the seat until he has moved into the district.
Oh, and until he does file, he can’t raise any money for the race and he can’t use any leftover funds he may have in his delegate account for the Senate race, either.
