Keith Fimian Savages The HealthCare Bill
By Greg L | 7 November 2009 | Gerry Connolly, National Politics, Fairfax County, Prince William County | 32 Comments
Keith Fimian held a press conference in front of Gerry Connolly’s district office today where he delivered a tough critique of the current 2,000 plus page monstrosity of a bill that the House is debating. You’d think Democrats would at least allow consideration of some of the common-sense alternatives that Keith and other Republicans are advocating, but Nancy Pelosi is determined to ram this atrocity down our throats before anyone has had a chance to actually read the bill, and Gerry Connolly seems more than willing to do whatever she wants, rather than listen to the views of his constituents.
UPDATE: Virginia Right vows swift vengeance on legislators that want to ram this down our throats, giving a very concise explanation why:
Stiff fines, 5 years in jail or purchase a $15,000 Health Insurance policy. This is all designed to force Health Insurance Companies out of business to facilitate a single payer government system. For 300 Million people. By a country trillions of dollars in debt in the depths of the worst recession in modern history.
Tom White can count me in on this. I can’t believe Congress is even considering this utter garbage.
UPDATE #2: Fimian has put out a press release in addition, since so few members of the mainstream media actually bothered to cover something like, say, “news.”
Fimian Discusses Flaws in Healthcare Bill, Suggests Fiscal-Friendly Alternatives
Epic new spending and taxes, pricier insurance, rationed care, dishonest accounting: The Pelosi health bill has it all.-WSJ 11/1/2009
Annandale, VA – Keith Fimian, Republican candidate for the United States House of Representatives from Virginia’s 11th congressional district, held a press conference this morning to discuss his concerns with H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.
“I support health care reform but reform that holds the line on costs and doesn’t replace a messy insurance system for an even worse government run health care system.” said Fimian. “We are here this morning because we all want good health care and because we want what is best for America.”
Fimian pointed out key flaws in the bill including train-wreck costs which will increase the Federal deficit and negative effects on small business.
“Here is where I stand” said Fimian “I would vote no on this bill AND on Government run health care it is bad for our Nation and I call on you, Gerry Connolly, to reject it also. If we are to reform Health Care, let’s not just ram something through. Let’s THINK it through. And then let’s get it right.”
Fimian held his press conference outside Representative Gerry Connolly’s Annandale Legislative Office. Connolly has suggested he will support the pending bill.

And where were these republican proposals during the past 8 years??
The party of NO does not want any type of reform. Just like they did nothing to reform immigration policy during the past 8 years.
Don, The Republicans were growing in their discontent with the spending from the Bush Administration, as if that has any relevance to what this current Administration is doing. But thanks for asking.
Obama and Pelosi put the spending into Warp Overdrive. The question is, where are you now? You undoubtedly bitched while Bush raided the petty cash, or you would not ask such a question now. And you now support a president that has rasied more debt than Bush AND EVERY PRESIDENT BEFORE HIM COMBINED!!!
We are not the party of no. We are now the party of HELL NO.
If this passes, we will defeat every single person that voted for it and repeal it. Along with the rest of the horrible legislation this Administration is using to destroy America.
And you can’t even see your own dim future. Sad, really.
Open your eyes!
From Cantor’s office:

Oh Don, don’t look now, but check out how many NO votes are due from dems.
the only thing bi-partisan about this bill is the NO vote.

Fixed.
Well I screwed up the last sentence, but I tried.
If iy makes the “progressives” feel any better, true conservatives were against Bush’s out of control spending, but the establishment republicans shouted them down and of course the dems were cooperative on spending for anything anytime. The current revolt against governemnt spending and attempts for absolute control are not republican initiatives. It is the combined angry of true Americans of all stripes and led by conservatives and libertarians. It is of the most importance to kill the current health and crap & trade bills. Health care can be fixed…allow folks to but insurance across state lines and rein in the nefarious tort lawyers. Any economist with an onuce of brians will tell you that will fix the cost problem. Properly identify the truely needy and issue them health stamps just like food stamps and then get on with letting the private sector solve the energy issue.
Tom White for Congress!!!
As expected, conservatives oppose health care for poor children and
others who are uninsured through no fault of their own.
As if that would save money. You only get to choose whether to pay
at the beginning, when diseases are easier to treat, or at the
end, when proble$s and prescriptions are more complicated, more
expensive and less successful.
Since you’re going to pay one way or another, why wait til the bitter
end? Who wants to be associated with that?
This reprehensible POS chose to go to Camp David for some R&R rather than Fort Hood:

H.R. 3962 passed the house by three votes a little after 11PM tonight. I don’t know how Virginia’s Congressional delegation voted yet, but will post the votes as soon as I find out what they were.
If this health care plan goes into law I am never going to work again. I will make it my goal to sit on my butt collect “Obama money” and eat twinkies all day. The whole time saying “only in amerika”. Thanks to all the moonbats who will give me the chance to live out my dreams. I mean they give money for cell phones, food, health care, cars, babies, all I need is a house, oh wait they help with that too. Hey maybe one day I will be enslaved by a nice Chinese family or better yet maybe one of my children will be enslaved. Wouldn’t that be great. After all the debtor is slave to the lender.
I had the privilege of voting for Fimian before moving from Fairfax. The campaign the Democrats ran against him was despicable.
By a country trillions of dollars in debt in the depths of the worst DEPRESSION in modern history.
The Virginia delegates who voted for the healthcare bill were Cowardly Connelly, Moron Moran, Bobby Scott, and Tom Perriello.

I’m with you. Seriously, why bother to work anymore? There is absolutely NO incentive……there’s more incentive to do nothing. Just what the demoncraps want….for everyone and their brother to be dependent on the gov’t so they can continue to flush this country down the toilet. Better brush up on your Chinese people!!!!
Connolly, you didn’t before and you won’t now, but in November, you will — you’re “dead meat”!!
To those who see no incentive to work, talk is cheap. How about you
follow through and quit your jobs, lose your insurance, collect welfare
and let us all know how well that works out for you.
sahdman and FED UP, may I please remind you that, before going for collecting
“Obama money”, you look closely at your reflections in the mirror . If what you see
is the reflection of a white American, don’t count on any money from Obama.
blueskies, it seems to be working pretty well for lots and lots of folks who know
no other way of life besides welfare, food stamps, etc.
well I hope those dem’s have other jobs lined up for 2010…because they’ll be out of one come election time. This is one piece of legislation that makes me sick to my stomach….demoncrats always taking from the “haves” and giving to the “have not’s” called socialism where I come from..utterly horrid!
I didn’t stay up to watch the news last night and was completely horrified to see all the news alerts in my Inbox this morning. I know some of this is the pregnancy hormones, but I am seriously considering marching down to Cannon, Longworth, and Rayburn Houses to start throwing shoes at every last moron that voted for this bill. And I’d throw a few preemptive shoes at Webb and Warner as a warning of what’s to come should they be stupid enough to vote for this once it’s in the Senate. Jerks.
There’ll be no wine for you for a while, eh wineplz? Congratulations!
Just heard this on the radio:
“McDonnell says Va. would opt-out of public option”

Please remember that in 2008 the people of Prince William County only voted for Fimian with 44% of all votes cast. Meanwhile, over in super liberal Fairfax County, the voters cast less than 1% fewer votes for Fimian.
I want Keith Fimian to win. But let’s be honest - Connolley is supported as strongly in PW as in FFX.

In 2008 Obama was the top of the ticket. The more reasonable measure is how Connolly and Fimian performed relative to Obama/McCain in the two counties and how we expect the dynamic will be different in an off-year election.
Here’s the 2008 votes for president in VA Congressional District 11. There’s just not that much difference between Fairfax County and PW County in the voting. We probably need to drill down into the precincts from 2008 and 2009 for the 11th. However, I think it would be a mistake for Keith Fimian to take PWC for granted in 2010.

Guess I won’t be getting any. Actually, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself and wouldn’t touch a dime of his socialist money. But what a way to discourage entrepreneurs and small businesses. Why bother?
Blueskies needs to chill - ever heard of sarcasm???????????
Wow! Keith is a true leader.
“collect welfare”
Just remember that a gubbermint cheese check can’t be garnished, so you can run up all sorts of debts nobody will ever make you pay off.
Some people have this down to a science.
I guess since this, in one way or another, applies to (oBAAma)healthcare, which is turning out to be just a NEW way of saying WELFARE, I can post this “thought” to this thread.
A letter to the editor appearing in today’s (09NOV09) local rag asks, “Who made Willis a speaker?”
This letter ABSOLUTELY EPITOMIZES the saying, “If it weren’t for DOUBLE standards, Democrats wouldn’t HAVE standards.”
First of all, for this individual (I’ll refer to him as K-Ray) to question, “Steve’s small band of merry men…” is so TOTALLY ridiculous, he (also) proves that if Democrats HAD any shame they’d be ASHAMED of themselves. I say this because HE is a member of John Jenkins band of “merry men.”
Having once been an officer of the Dale City Civic Association (a SUPPOSEDLY bi-partisan organization) I KNOW that K-Ray, at one time was ALSO an officer.
Now, if you know anything (at all) about DCCA, you know that it is, pretty much, the Right Arm of the Neabsco Democratic Committee, even though it is supposed to be NON-political.
I say this because the President of the Neabsco Democratic Committe, Ernestine Jenkins, also serves as the 1st Vice-President of DCCA, as she has EVER SINCE its’ inception and has been, for all intents and purposes, RUNNING the “association” (which is really nothing more than a high school style clique) from the 1st VP position, again, ever since its’ inception.
She REFUSES to be President out of fear that what I am saying would be TOO TOTALLY obvious. (Pretty thin veil, EH?)
Question: Shouldn’t the FACT that DCCA is, IN FACT, a POLITICAL ORGANIZATION have some affect on its’ status as a NON-PROFIT ?
The bottom line, and the point of this post is, when K-Ray sits at his keyboard and types a “letter to the editor,” you can almost see John Jenkins lips move.
Get my meaning?
K-Ray is nothing more than a PUPPETT of John Jenkins and is TOO BLIND to see he HYPOCRISY of his question.
So K-Ray, I ask YOU the same question: What makes YOU the speaker for ANYONE other than the FACT that you are (one of)John Jenkins PUPPETT(S)?
BTW and FOR the RECORD, if you don’t believe what I am saying about Ernestine Jenkins, just go to the DCCA home page and CHECK OUT HER E-MAIL ADDRESS! (the “fjj” is FOR John Jenkins)
The cricism keeps rolling in, this time from Snapped Shot, and I encourage readers to check this out:
Okay so if I willfully sit on my butt and eat twinkies I could possibly go to prison for 5 years. If congress willfully creates an economic environment that doesn’t create jobs I will use that as my excuse to sit on my butt an eat twinkies. Oh wait no I’m white. I guess its off to prison for me.
