A gal called in to the Sean Hannity show a while back. Her girlfriend, who lives in Canada, found out she was pregnant, and called to make a prenatal appointment. She was told that they couldn't get her in to see an OB for a prenatal appointment for 10 months.

Our survival ratings for people with heart disease, cancer, and other diseases are so much higher than other countries because we actually fight to save people, instead of putting them on waiting lists to get sicker, or die. We do our very best to get the very best drugs to treat people instead of eliminating certain life-saving drugs because "they're too expensive". Granted, we have issues with some insurance coverage and the like, but if all else fails, you still have the option of appealing to your insurance carrier, changing your insurance, or paying for some things out-of-pocket. Folks in countries w/government-run health care do not have the option to appeal; do not have the option to change; and often do not have the option to pay for some things out-of-pocket.

Which democracy has a socialized medical system that functions well? I know a woman in New Zealand who died waiting for gastro-intestinal surgery. She literally starved to death waiting in line. I have a cousin in Canada now waiting for a biopsy that should have been performed immediately. These stories are not anecdotal. There are thousands more like them. If you cite Norway, their system heavily burdens the tax payers and we can't hold them up as an example because the size of our nation is nowhere near the size of Norway. Of course we need reform here, which must include tort reform, but the package being pushed to us is not even about "health care," it's about establishing dependency and control. Don't be duped!

If a person has to make a choice between putting food on the table if they lost their job struggling to pay their utilities before they shut them off or the bank foreclosing on their home. When they become terminally ill and have no coverage if they can't turn to their federal government, who should they turn to ...an undertaker?

No one should have to make such choices and all who feel it is not the place of the government to provide such basic services should look at all other democracies around the world that have very successful programs. We could learn a great deal ...oops! that's right, we're Americans no one can teach us anything since we do everything so much better!

There is not thing wrong come to the states with a student visa. If you understand the process of visa, you won't want to touch that issue. As long as the school support his visa, and he found a job to support his green card process. I have to bid that he has work very hard to get to who he is now and that is why he knows that Freedom is precious.

Pat.Herve: You are stupendously ignorant. Tito has never been illegal and actively embraces American values each and every day and he mentors others to do the same. You obviously can't argue with his message, so you try to discredit the messenger. Such bigotry and hatred reflects poorly on you Pat.

From my inbox this evening:

have read about 911 terrorists, a would-be presidential assassin, Islamic fundementalist leaders, and now a jihadist in US Army uniform slaughtering America's finest at Fort Hood. What do they have in common? All attended the Islamic mosques in the Washington DC area.

How much has "political correctness" by liberals restricted our federal and state law enforcement from tracking and monitoring the growing terrorism in the Washington DC region? We should not be surprised by the jihadist activities in the capital region. http://www.wnd.com/index.php?pageId=44480 The next time the Patriot Act comes up for review in Congress - look at those who oppose it...

We have "sanctuary towns" in Maryland and Virginia providing cover for all types of foreign criminals. Indeed, one responsible individual in Virginia for that circumstance in Fairfax County is now sitting in Congress as a leading proponent for the Obama agenda, Congressman Gerry Connolly, D-11-VA. The illegal population even has their representative in Congress!
