IIRC, There was an attempt a few years ago to create a bi-partison panel that would have been in charge of redistricting. Of course I believe it was partisanship that killed the effort.

What a novel idea - to redistrict on a bipartisan basis, and to create a district with boundaries that make sense - not on boundaries to try and create a district bounded by the 'bent' of the population.

I hope they do redistricting on a bipartisan basis - and show a little leadership where it is sorely needed - they would gain respect if they do.

It won't be a full 2.5 Delegate gain for PWC, Jackson Miller's district is greatly below average so he will absorb a good deal of the Marshall Gainesville area.

Also, don't forget the Loudoun portion of the 13th which will also be completely cut out if Marshall has his way. Take those away and the PWC gain is barely one full delegate seat.

As for the Senate, Colgan's not moving (he lives in Marstellar precinct) and will do whatever he can to hand-pick his successor R or D.

We could have done this, instead of bailing out the auto makers and banks! Money well spent!!

They really need to keep from having districts straddle PWC and Fairfax. Instead of having two adjoining senate districts represent both PWC and Fairfax, they should put one completely in Fairfax and the other completely in PWC.
