I voted last night, along with thousands of others who turned out for this special election. I cannot locate the results, however. Does anyone know who won??

Hunt is the liberty minded choice in the Special Election to fill Ken Cuccinelli’s seat.

Centreville, Va.–Members of the Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia have endorsed Steve Hunt in the Republican firehouse primary, which will be taking place on December 1, 2009 at Centreville High School from 6-10 p.m. This is to fill the open seat that was previously held by Ken Cuccinelli. Hunt is the only Republican candidate, who will fight for the principles of limited government and lower taxes.

Republican Liberty Caucus of Virginia Chairman Matthew Gagnon said, ”Ken Cuccinelli was an important advocate for liberty in the Virginia Senate, and it is vitally important that his replacement continue to champion those same values–specifically limited government, free enterprise, low taxes and personal freedom. The type of voters that attend a firehouse don’t appreciate a whackjob like horinko trying to mcauliffe the nomination. She can spend thousands of dollars pretending to be a conservative and a grassroots person, but no one is buying that nonsense.

Hunt has good endorsements but he also has grassroots support. Spending 150k and filling people’s mail boxes with boilerplate bs doesn’t mean you’re working hard–just that you have a bigger checkbook. Hunt may have limited resources, but he has activists Republican behind him.

Horinko should stick to advancing global warming nonsense.

I can’t wait to see how much horinko will spend per vote. $300? $450? Who knows.

Steve Hunt has the conservative base as his core of support. His list of supporters are not necessarily big name people, but I recognize most as people who have a network of people that will certainly be turned out to vote.

We really need Steve to win this nomination. The GOP has finally shed some of our Senators who tended to be the problem and not the solution (Chichester, Stolle, and Devolites). Now we finally have a guy here who is comfortable in his own skin and truly believes in the common-sense, conservative principles he espouses.

And NO!!! …Before I get accused of it…I don’t work for his campaign.

I don’t know what you guys have been smoking the past few years. Mike Thompson in 2002. Great list of endorsements. Guess who won. Brian Moran this year. Great list of endorsements, guess who won. Endorsements mean jack in a firehouse its about who you contact and how hard you work. All I know I have seen more from the Horinko and Nance campaigns then I have ever seen from the Hunt campaign.
