A "representative election" perhaps, but a "special election" is governed by the rules of the SBE, overseen by the local electoral board, and is in all manner and form the same as a "general election" the only exception being that it may occur outside of the normal election cycle. So my statement that the perception of the general population that does not analyze win/loss margins would see this as favoritism still stands. In this case people do not think who voted for who. The only problem I have is that Mr. T was up for election and lost last time out. So clearly the voters did not choose him. He was prompt, courteous, professional, and the situation was soon resolved. I am so happy to have him back in office.
