Obama: Stop Destroying Our Country!

If you were on Interstates 66, 95 or 495 during this morning’s rush hour and happened to look up, you might have seen this.  Thanks to the Danville TEA Party for putting together the funding for a great effort to highlight our discontent with the policies of the current administration!

    Dear Congressman Wolf,

“President Obama told ABC News’ Charles Gibson in an interview that if Congress does not pass health care legislation that will bring down costs, the federal government “will go bankrupt.””

Initially I was shocked at this statement. I thought our President was saying that OUR COUNTRY would go broke. Upon re-reading this I see that he only says THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT will go broke. This is actually good news! Our federal government is a wasteful and non-competitive organization, as proven by the $12+ trillion debt they have run up. I actually look forward to our federal government going broke. They don’t provide me with any services in spite of the 33% income tax I pay annually. Our borders are not defended. Our currency is not protected. Our laws seem arbitrary and can change at the slightest whim. Organizations that are not productive SHOULD go broke. And if our federal government goes broke then we citizens can replace them with a more cost effective, competitive and productive organization. I’ve got to warn you and your associates however that when you get laid off you may find things a little different in the “private sector”. The private sector does not have a credit card with an unlimited maximum. We cannot raise taxes if we see we are not going to make ends meet. We’ve actually got to work and compete in order to survive. Good luck! You’re going to need it!

Funding? Imagine the work it took to get the flight clearance to do that in this area. Kudos!

I didn’t hear about any news coverage of this, and I don’t generally watch television news.

My philosophy is that you can’t depend on the mainstream media to give you the news. Having done dozens of interviews, it’s pretty clear to me that what you end up seeing has very little to do with what the story actually was. The more you get engaged in the news process, (often) the less you come to rely on it.

Instead, I provide the news, and don’t worry that much what the mainstream media is or is not doing. They’re becoming increasingly irrelevant.

Over the past few days views on this video have jumped several hundred per day, with YouTube Insight reporting that almost all of these views are referrals from emails.

Looks like this video is going viral big-time. Glad to see that the efforts of the Danville Tea Party (and my contribution to it) are yielding such surprisingly strong results.

Almost 1,400 views total as of this weekend, and on Friday it had about 800. Let’s hope this continues.

You can help make that happen by letting your friends know about this video and encouraging them to share it with others.
