Mark Warner Comedy Gold
By Greg L | 26 December 2009 | Virginia Politics, US Senate | 7 Comments
From the most excellent From On High:
According to Amy Gardner, Washington Post reporter, Virginia Senator Mark Warner’s first year in office was a waste of time (he “has found himself mainly on the sidelines”), but he’s doing his best to pull his liberal Democrat colleagues back toward the “center” of American politics.
Say what?
Yeah, the Post sure does love our increasingly unpopular, most liberal (not by much) Senator from Virginia. Their efforts to provide political cover for him are starting to resemble a comedy routine, a development by which folks like Jerry are sure going to take full advantage.

“pull his liberal Democrat colleagues back toward the ‘center’”?!?!?
Who does Senator Marky Mark think he’s kidding? He voted with the far Left for socialized medicine. My guess is he’ll vote against final passage, and claim to have done so. After repeatedly being Harry’s sixtieth vote.
That flushing sound was his political future circling the drain. Senator Webb will learn that lesson even sooner.
Agreed!
Once again, he needs to go at the end of his term. Webb, Moran, Wolf, et al need to be voted out. Every single one out/gone, new people need to be put in office who understand the Constitution and their responsibilities to it and we the people. A complete cleaning of both houses. Let them go and write their memoirs, to later be found in the discount section of the chain bookstores. A wholesale cleaning of all needs to be done. Not one Senator or Congressman is untainted by the lobbyists, PAC money or in failing to look after the country and their constituents, they all need to be sent packing.
Greg, keep up the good work on this blog, your time and effort are much appreciated.
When last I checked, Warner’s rating on immigration was F-. I don’t think he had a single right vote…….
Senator Webb wore his son’s army boots while campaigning. I will not forget that anytime soon. When he runs for re-election I will serve him up a big humble pie with those boots baked into it.
Warner is trying to “pull his liberal Democrat colleagues back toward the ‘center’ of American politics/” How? By being Harry Ried’s rubber stamp? Give me a break! This is a lame attempt at seeking political cover. If the Washington Post really wants to increase its reduce readership, try journalism in which you challenge and ask questions of politicans. Most of them already have public affairs staff. Simply repeating press releases or rehashing the party line won’t attract new readers.
