Tea Party Preps For Richmond
By Greg L | 2 January 2010 | Virginia Politics, Prince William County | 3 Comments
The Prince William County Tea Party is earning a little press in today’s News & Messenger with the announcement of a seminar to be held on January 9th at Chinn Library. If the Tea Party is training up plenty of volunteers to go and lobby the General Assembly, the traditional “lobby day” in Richmond on King/Lee/Jackson Day is going to be quite a madhouse.
Although details aren’t available yet for what the Tea Party is planning for the 18th, I’m told that there will be a rally at the Bell Tower, buses bringing people in from all over the Commonwealth, and if course the crush of constituents jockeying to see their elected officials amongst all the other groups that show up en masse in the General Assembly Building that day. Their agenda will certainly include Bob Marshall’s HB 10, and probably a few more of the more interesting bills introduced so far this session, many which will likely overlap with those favored by VCDL, which also shows up big on lobby day.
There’s nothing that warms the hearts of a patriot than to see hundreds of citizens show up in Richmond and completely dwarf the legion of paid lobbyists that might otherwise hold sway there. When real constituents show up in Richmond, legislators pay a lot of attention. If you haven’t enjoyed the opportunity to talk to your elected officials while they’re in session before, I’d highly recommend attending this and making the trip to Richmond.

Mondays are the worst day for me to leave my business, but I will be there on the 18th. Wouldn’t miss it. I was in DC on 9.12, and for Michele Bachmann’s protest and for Code Red. We need to make the same kind of show in Richmond.
What I am looking forward to most immediately is saying goodbye to SNOW. We had 28 inches here, thanks to a Mother Nature, or a humorous god — if only it had snowed in Honolulu this week, I would have to go to Church more than I do.
What about the DAILY DC SNOW JOB perpetrated upon the American People? Pork Pie in the Trillions, and Future Generations SOLD OUT, MORTGAGED AND ENSLAVED. I say, it is time to START DIGGING OUT! We Won’t Be Fooled Again. We Need to start by educating the People about the Constitution and a little thing called Limited Government and Enumerated Powers! Fortunately, the Democrats are facilitating the task of re-educating a populace that has been indoctrinated in government schools. They are pissing People off, and folks are actually beginning to learn what it was that started in 1776. As Franklin replied, when asked what kind of government they had created, “A Republic, if you can keep it.” The only possible way for that to happen is for the People to be the Watch Dogs. In Virginia, we are beginning on that process by replacing Tom Perriello with Michael McPadden in the 5th District. whose campaign is based upon — here’s a new concept — Liberty, and Personal Responsibility. Check out his website at www.mcpaddenforcongress.com
We have had a potential disaster forced upon us in the 5th district, but we are going to turn lemons into lemonade. WE are not going to tolerate a ridiculous situation in which the party nominee could win less than 20% of the total vote, with 80% of the vote being solidly conservative, but split 6 ways. There is a growing movement in the 5th district for a CONSERVATIVE CONVENTION to select OUR nominee who will face Robert Hurt in the primary. Please go to McPadden’s website. Check him out.
The New Right starts in the 5th District. LIBERTY WINS!~
I plan on attending General Assembly Day this year, both as a member of VCDL and The Price William County Tea Party member. Lovong in Virginia for the last 29 years, it is now time to make my voice heard too. We can no longer afford to sit back and just watch things happen. It is time for the PEOPLE to retake the government, before the government takes over the people.

Hate to say this but, might it not be a wee bit TOO LATE for that one?
THIS government is OUT of CONTROL!!!!!
