Lots going on this week in Virginia with a special election in the 37th District, inauguration of a new Governor and Attorney General, and the General Assembly starting their session very soon.  I’ve been tied up with a few work projects and haven’t been able to blog about all this yet, but that doesn’t mean there’s no place to discuss it all…

Disappointed that some members of Congress want to end
the 287(g) program since it works and benefits the entire
    community. This is crazy.

And it isn’t racist - getting the bad guy convicted felons
off the street helps everyone. Know other immigrants
are glad to see them go - it becomes safer for
    everyone.

Another reason to go vote today…not that he’s going to have a problem getting 1000 signatures, but Frank Wolf is gathering petition signatures (at least at my precinct) to get on the November ballot.

I’m surprised Frank stays in the country long enough to gather signatures. Isn’t Darfur calling? Or Sierra Leone? Or Shanghai? Or some other cesspool of a nation that requires him to go “fact finding” at taxpayer expense? Did he ever visit the local reserve outfit when it was deployed to Iraq?

Do you know who made the above proposal? None other than the Chicago “chicano” Rep. Luis V. Gutierrez. He wants total amnesty for all illegals in this country as of 14 December 2009 and his bill submitted to the house on 15 December 2009 so states. For the race everything. For others, nothing (La Raza’s doctrine.)

The Gutierrez bill is going nowhere — it simply is far too toxic for most Congressmen to support. Keep an eye out for what Chuckie Schumer comes up with in the Senate. That one is going to be sold to us as a more palatable “compromise” where the compromise is negotiated only between hard-core illegal alien supporters and liberal democrats.

That’s the bill we’ll need to watch.

The New York Times reports, “Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan [of Mexico] said Mexico will continue its quiet, ‘under the radar’ lobbying for a reform that would benefit the estimated 11.8 million Mexicans living in the United States. A large percentage are undocumented.”

Is there any more evidence anyone needs to realize we are being invaded by a foreign country?

The naming committee has recommended a name for the 11th High school - Ridge View High.

The name was taken from the Blue Ridge mountains, not the 80’s cult classic Fast Times at RidgeMont High, which the committee apparently thought were the mountains visible in the distance. Unfortunately the mountains you can’t quite see from the school site aren’t the Blue Ridge.

Deer Field and Ronald Reagan High apparently made the top 5 suggestions.

The school board didn’t seem all that jazzed by the suggestion, and may be open to alternatives.

How about Spy High - in honor of the old CIA post on Vint Hill?

How about Wild Turkey High - in honor of the Wild Turkeys that roam the area?

How about Cow Pad High - in honor of the cow manure the previous landowner used to treat his fields with?

Herrity declares in the 11th and Fimian immediately issued a press release “welcoming” Herrity to the race. Unfortunately, Fimian comes across like a whining child in the statement as if he is entitled to the nomination. I’m very disappointed in the way he is conducting himself.

Found out that creep who stabbed his wife and was on the run for awhile until he was caught yesterdays lives in my complex. Cops were there last night looking for some evidence. The condo he lives in has the cops there two to three times a month since they moved in almost a year ago. I thought that picture of the creep looked familiar.

Oh and the 15 year old sexual predator is out of confinement or wherever they were holding him before his trial. Talked with him and asked him if he realized if found guilty that he would be required to register as a sex offender for the REST OF HIS LIFE. Could not live near stores. His eyes got wide and he didnt say anything but walked away. Actions have consequences…

On another note I stopped by Chik-fil-a and it was so refreshing to be understood and to be able to understand the person taking my order. Didn’t see any potential illegal aliens working in the kitchen, just good old American teenagers, the way it should be. They should be added to Greg’s list of companies not employing illegal aliens.

They are. The Chick-Fil-A on Liberia was one of the early enrolees in the “Do The Right Thing” program. The franchise owner is a real patriot, and a really outstanding guy.

Make sure that if you get hungry during your outings in the area you stop by, and don’t hesitate to tell the folks that besides the great food, you’re happy to do business with a company that supports employment opportunities for legal American workers, even if doing so might cost a little more than employing cheap illegal alien labor!

Interesting news that City of Manassas will prosecute the idiot with the signs on Liberty st. Article online says the idiot sold the property. Hope the City follows through and prosecute and fines the heck out of him.

I was really glad to see the article in News and Messenger about the City prosecuting Mr.Hernandez (wasn’t it?). Thanks for bringing this issue to my attention so now I know the background of the case. I’m sure your making others aware of his flagrant abuse of the law, did help to bring this to the full attention of the City’s attorneys.
