This is an absolute lie and I am disappointed that no conservative has called him out this cheap shot so far.

When Howie Lind targeted his extensive experience to help the Republican Party of Virginia, he quickly became a force for re-energizing Party adherents and attracting throngs of young professionals into the ranks of supporters.

Howie Lind has always been a voice for fairness and honest campaigns; he and Men like him, are the best hope for the Republican side to be successful in a changing Virginia.

With Howie Lind’s extensive record of integrity and fair dealing with competing factions, one can easily see why he is seen as such a threat to the backroom dealers of the, “old guard” and those who will sacrifice all of the Party’s principles with the hope of clinging to power.

Howie Lind will move the Republican Party into the Twenty-first Century. It is time to move forward and it is well past time for a change of leadership in the Tenth District.

Section 4. County and city officers.

There shall be elected by the qualified voters of each county and city a treasurer, a sheriff, an attorney for the Commonwealth, a clerk, who shall be clerk of the court in the office of which deeds are recorded, and a commissioner of revenue. The duties and compensation of such officers shall be prescribed by general law or special act.

Regular elections for such officers shall be held on Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Such officers shall take office on the first day of the following January unless otherwise provided by law and shall hold their respective offices for the term of four years, except that the clerk shall hold office for eight years.

The General Assembly may provide for county or city officers or methods of their selection, including permission for two or more units of government to share the officers required by this section, without regard to the provisions of this section, either (1) by general law to become effective in any county or city when submitted to the qualified voters thereof in an election held for such purpose and approved by a majority of those voting thereon in each such county or city, or (2) by special act upon the request, made after such an election, of each county or city affected. No such law shall reduce the term of any person holding an office at the time the election is held. A county or city not required to have or to elect such officers prior to the effective date of this Constitution shall not be so required by this section.

The General Assembly may provide by general law or special act for additional officers and for the terms of their office.

Spotsylvania is one county that I know for a FACT has an elected treasurer. You can google “Larry K. Pritchett” and “SBE” to confirm that.

However, here in Virginia, most of us still try to maintain a sense of civility among the partisan factions, regardless of the atrocities committed by the former regime, or real or perceived affronts made by the current HNIC.

As a Democrat, I would enjoy competing with the Republican side led by Howie Lind as Tenth District Chairman. I believe that contests, both inside the Party and in general elections will be fought fairly and contested on the issues. Howie will be especially effective in recruiting quality candidates, something the Republicans sorely need right now.

With some luck, Howie will come to his senses and realize that the Republican Party is merely a function of the multinational corporations, whose purpose is to make Americans corporate serfs; but until then, it will be helpful to at least have a few honest men like Howie in a leadership role with the Virginia subsidiary of the corporate-owned Republican Party.

Its just a technicality but i think its important to know what you’re talking about when running for office.

And counties dont have councils either, they have Boards of Supervisors, which are already mentioned.
