Lingamfelter: March On Washington!

By Greg L | 19 January 2010 | National Politics, 31st HOD District, Virginia Politics | 9 Comments

At the end of Delegate Scott Lingamfelter’s remarks he announced that he would be drafting a letter to be signed by members of the Virginia legislature and delivered to our federal representatives, encouraging that delivery to be made by a march on Washington. Now that’s a fascinating idea! It took four years for Washington to march on Richmond nearly a century and a half ago, but I really like the idea of putting together a march on Washington over the next few weeks and delivering our demands that the federal government respect the Constitution like this.

Keep up the pressure now that Scott Brown won so they won’t pull more tricks, like:

    - Delaying the certification of the vote in MA.
    - Delaying seating Scott Brown.
    - Try to pass the health care bill through as a reconciliation bill (that’s a preversion of the word.)
    - And other tricks.

Keep on eye on developments in DC and keep up the pressure! It’s the only way!

I’ll tip my hat to the new constitution / Take a bow for the new revolution / Smile and grin at the change all around / Pick up my guitar and play / Just like yesterday / Then I’ll get on my knees and pray / We don’t get fooled again.

This may be an urban legend, but none the less it certainly highlights the dangers that the current Congress and Administration are forcing on us!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class.

That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, “OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan”. All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Thanks for sharing the story, long time. A great illustration of results of socialism.

A good place to start would be to get a grass-roots response to at least stop the increase of the federal debt ceiling. If they can borrow more they will - to avoid the hard decisions that Virginia and other states have to make. - and with this Congress to continue their election pay-offs.

Would hope that our representatives to the GA will spend less
time striking poses and tilting at windwills and more time
doing vital work like making sure our local schools aren’t
robbed of their fair share of revenue from the Commonwealth
by down state reps pushing to “defer” a scheduled
readjustment of the Local Composite Index that, for once,
would give this area a larger percentage of
    state educational spending.

EVERY good Christian conservative who reads this blog should DEMAND the FIRING of Alex Granados and DEMAND that this “Remener FREAK” be BANNED from, ever again, writing a letter to the News Messenger!!!!!

Here is an excerpt from Remner’s (latest) letter published on the 22nd of January, 2010 in reference to the Tea Party gathering at the Chinn Center: “That means the tea-baggers at the meeting did not represent 2 percent or even two-tenths of 1 percent.”

ANYONE with ANY KIND of “street knowledge” knows that “tea-bagger” is nothing but a NASTY, FOUL, FILTHY, DISGUSTING
    reference to a PORNAGRAPHIC act!!!!

The FREAK closes his letter by saying: “I’m sure the 75 tea-baggers are content…”

There is NO QUESTION as to the intention of the reference by the FREAK !!!!

This is demonstrated by his comment: “The most tongue-in-cheek comment at the meeting…”

If ANYTHING is “TOUNGE-IN-CHEEK,” it is the way this FREAK “sneaked” into his letter a FILTHY, NASTY, DISGUSTING, PORNAGRAPHIC reference to the people at the gathering!!!!!

Anyone with a subscription to the News Messenger should CANCEL it until Granados is FIRED and Remener is BANNED!!!

If EVER there was a GRASS ROOTS movement started, THIS would be the BEST reason to start one!!!!

Once again, CANCEL your subscriptions to the News Messenger until Granados is FIRED and the FREAK, Remener, is BANNED !!!!!
