Duck Colgan, lost in space except when it benefits him or the airport that he once ruled. Duck has been in incredulous legislator for some time. Against Fitzsimmonds he had to pull out all the stops to stay in office. In all the years he ran, I never got that much political mail from him. Now if he would have only spent that money on an occasional newsletter to his constituents but then again, may be he needs to check his notes.

I do not wish him ill will but I wish him to retire quickly.

I would not call a system that is only 50% percent effective, remarkably effective

I also see that STock and Wampler agreed with the imminent domain bill - what was wrong with the bill that it became a bipartisan no.

Advocator,

There is a chance HB 737 will be heard in the Commerce & Labor Committee on Monday. Should know this afternoon. In the mean time everyone should contact Colgans office and demand that the committee hear the bill. Not that he really cares, but...............

Since HB 737 died in the state senate, the issue should be raised with our BOCS. They should adopt a resolution that would require all contractors to certify that they verify legal residence of new hires with E-Verify. All county contracts should include a flow-down provision to sub-contractors requiring the same certification. A false certification would be grounds for terminating the contractor or its sub for default. Furthermore, it would give competitor contractors grounds to protest an award if the competitor had reason to believe an awardee was not utilizing E-verify.
