Gerry Connolly: Some Are More Equal Than Others

By Greg L | 21 March 2010 | Gerry Connolly | 29 Comments

In honor of Congressman Gerry Connolly’s perfidy this evening, I thought this video would be rather appropriate.

Is this Connolly’s private road, or do other people also live along ii?

Clearly, Gerry Connolly knew all those years ago to buy a house on a street that would get plowed first. Didn’t you know? Yeah, THAT’S the ticket!

My new passion in life is ensuring that Gerry Cowardly is prevented from attaining ANY elected office this side of the rockies. Truly a despicable, Progressive liberal if there ever was one.

This video doesn’t mean a thing. No info on how many days after the storm the videos were taken. One of the most easily manipulated forms of communication. My street looked like Gerry’s and there isn’t a single politician within miles of my home in Prince William County. My street was single lane clear late in the morning after the storm.

Don’t be fooled by this video.

It’s interesting that you should invoke the Soviet Union in your video.

Like you, the communists often insisted that anyone who disagreed with the party MUST be mentally disturbed. So they locked them away in insane asylums.

On the intro to this video you have a subtitle that says:

    “Liberalism is a mental disorder”

You seem to be remarkably like those old communists. Like you, they found it much easier to label anyone who didn’t agree with them as insane. So much easier than making a case for your position and your actions.

It is a genuine shame to see that the intellectual level on the right has deteriorated to this level.

Connolly is scum but there are two guys on my street with snow throwers and they had a lane cut on our cul-de-sac to the road surface out to the main road a day after it stopped snowing. The plows didn’t show for about a week. Then again, there was no sand or salt on our street until the plows showed… Was it clear from his house to US50? Or was just Mantua Dr. clear? That would be telling.

    Dan,

    Check this out.

    http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=56494

“Veteran psychiatrist calls liberals mentally ill
Publishes extensive study on ‘Psychological Causes of Political Madness’”

BTW, do you find the statement offensive - that liberalism is a mental disorder?

Gee, thats news. A politician/policeman/lobbyist abuses the system.

Why not print something newsworthy - like what are you going to do about it?

    Offensive? No.

    Incredibly stupid? Yes.

And you link to a WorldNetDaily (not exactly the most credible source) article that is basically just plugging the guy’s book. The release of which was well timed to maximize sales. Spring of an election year in which conservatives were likely going to get their clocks cleaned. The combination of anger and stupid probably sold a lot of books.

It is unlikely I will read his book. A quick perusal of reviews would indicate it can hardly be described as a “scientific” work.

Actually the link came up in a google search. But, I would argue that WND is more credible than say the Huffington Post.

The video shows the date as Feb 7. It wasn’t taken on Feb 7. Neither that street nor any street in the area was dry on Feb 7. The video says that another street was not even plowed. It is obvious that the street had been plowed. It’s a very deceptive video. Someone obviously does not want to show the truth but instead finds Connolly to be so above reproach that only deception can cast a shadow on his character. Speaks well of Connolly.

this was a big waste of time. connolly lives on prince william drive, in mantua. anyone in fairfax county that lives in that area knows that PW drive is a major thoroughfare in and out of Mantua, hundreds, if not thousands of people depend on that road to get to route 236 (little river turnpike). stop the doom and gloom crap and get back on message with substance.

“connolly lives on prince william drive, in mantua.”

I find an address for him on Mantua Drive. Mantua Drive is a side street off of a side street off of Barkley Drive.

Also, Prince William Drive has centerline markings. The street shown in the video has no centerline markings.

local gop, it’s about attention to detail.

I saw a possum in the road in front of my house this morning, I have more respect for that possum then I do Gerry Connolly but I have to say it PROBABLY went down something like this:

Some regular guy driving a plow truck, maybe even a contractor was told by his supervisor to make sure the congressman’s house was clear, trying to score a point.

I’m not going to reveal my place of employment but I see this kind of thing often, people like congressmen, board directors, executives rarely have to ask for this treatment, it comes from suck up supervisors and their suck up supervisors giving orders to people like me, and whoever was driving that plow. To me someone for the people would notice the rest of the neighborhood was not done, Connolly is not someone for the people but to those supervisors sucking up a good word from him, like him or not could carry a lot of weight come budget time.

It’s part of the silly game, not specific to anyone..

I’ve got to wonder why someone identifying themselves as “local gop” would be defending a big government leftist Democrat like Gerry Connolly, even resorting to using inaccurate information to do so. It brings back memories of someone identifying themselves as “compassionate conservative” that turned out to be an apologist for illegal aliens and a part of the “coffee party” group trying to counter the impact of the TEA Party movement on American politics.

Why can’t liberals make their point without having to falsely cloak themselves in “moderate” or conservative garb? Is it an admission that their principles are hollow and their convictions unappealing to the electorate?

Local GOP, google “Fairfax County property search”, go to the first hit and search on who owns 3313 AND 3315 Mantua Dr. From Bing bird’s eye view, it appears that 3313 Mantua is his swimming pool. Considering a few of my neighbors have exercised the option of withholding their names on this public database, I’m a bit surprised Connolly has allowed his.

Greg, I see you noticed Attention Whore Annabel Park leading up the “coffee party” in Florida. Has she ever had an American History class? What does “coffee party” even signify? Besides your accurate assessment of a false Democrat front and something for the MSM to fawn over, what’s the point of it?

  25. Dan said on 23 Mar 2010 at 9:58 am:

Greg, I don’t think local gop was “defending” Connolly. There is a major difference between defending the views of the man and pointing out when you think he is being attacked unfairly or irrelevantly. Or that the “evidence” provided may be questionably edited or produced in order to give a false or misleading impression.

In fact, calling out such things gives one greater credibility when one makes an honest case against his political positions. And just cheerleading such things damages one’s credibility when making more serious arguments in the future.

Maybe this seems old fashioned and irrelevant in the 21st century where the motto seems to be “get three facts (accuracy doesn’t matter) and start screaming!”. But to us old folks it makes a difference whether or not we take someone seriously in the future.
