Hope For America

By Greg L | 4 July 2010 | Gerry Connolly | 15 Comments

I heard from multiple sources yesterday that Congressman Gerry Connolly actually got booed by the crowd at the Dale City Parade.  I’ve never heard of such a thing happening, as these events are always very friendly to anyone marching.  To see a sitting Congressman get catcalls and vocal disapproval from the crowd should send a pretty strong message to the hopey-changey crowd in Congress that not since Shay’s Rebellion have we seen such an outpouring of disgust with the way this country is going.

Maybe the electorate is waking up.  I certainly hope so.

I booed and heckled the little weasel at the Christmas parade in Manassass. He just ignored me like he ignored his constituents on the socialized medicine issue. What a tool!

Can you give us a Utube or a link from this event, Greg?

What one hears from “sources” is not always correct.

Good Show. When Connolly can’t appear in public without being mocked and embarrassed, America wins!

I thought it was rude for a group of Fimian supporters to Boo Connolly. They had their big sign and looked like idiots. This was a family event. The least they could have done was be polite.

oh really? Well, he hasn’t been “polite” to us since he’s been in office…even locked us out when we went to visit his office. Tell me, why is it my responsibility to be “polite” to a man who represents me in Congress, but won’t even answer my questions, much less support my point of view. There is no reasonable answer to that question, crosier!

BTW, if it makes you feel better, I’m saving my “Boos” and heckling for November. It will be soooooooooooooo sweet to see him in the list he has helped create…the list of “unemployed.” It should be about 11% then. :(

The Fimian suporters marched with Fimian in the parade a few dozen spots in front of Connolly. Looks to me like the people just plain are disgusted with Gerry “Cowardly” Connolly and want him out in November.

“…want him out in November”?? :) :) Do we like Christmas in December? :) It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if “the Con man” were to withdraw his candidacy prior to November…so he could spend more time with his wife and grandchildren. :)

It wouldn’t surprise me if he’d just withdraw from the campaign as we get closer to November….you know, to spend more time with his wife and grandchildren. (Does he have any of those?)

Booing or otherwise publicly deriding a sitting official is ignorant. It demeans the office itself and the country.

Except when it’s Arlen Spector, right?

Congressman Gerry Connolly has already demeaned “the office itself and the country.” He is doing that just fine by himself. The public is merely letting him know they don’t like the office and the country being demeanded.

I never booed Spector, Greg. I asked him a pointed question once when he was a Republican that he could not answer coherently, and two weeks later he announced his conversion to Democrat, but I never displayed disrespect to the man. I even gave Brothers Colgan and Wolf chances to answer after tearing into them.

You make a good point, BristowBristling. Left alone, most politicians like Connolly do just fine making buffoons of themselves. Booing him and otherwise deriding him in public only solidifies his supporters. Best to make your points in print and at the ballot box, not with a public display more suitable for karaoke night at your favorite pub.

…all this chatter over a little “booing”. I wasn’t there but probably would have done the same.

Why should we respect someone who is aiding and abetting those that are committed to stealing our liberty? Should the Founding Fathers have shown more respect to the English crown and George III - the man? I think not.

That booing was a warning to Mr. Connelly. We, the People, do NOT support the Obama agenda that - to his discredit - Connelly has energetically endorsed with his votes in Congress.

November 2010 can’t come soon enough!!
