Open Borders Advocate Celebrates Independence Day

By Greg L | 4 July 2010 | Zapatistas, Illegal Aliens, Manassas City | 41 Comments

While everyone else is celebrating Independence Day in Manassas and reveling in the freedom and liberty our forefathers have secured for us, one recent naturalized American aligned with Mexicans Without Borders and the Mexica Movement decided to celebrate in his own way with yet another irresponsible display of civic vandalism.  While Mr. Fernandez has the right to free speech and within reasonable limits and can make his opinions known at his property, that doesn’t at all mean that he shouldn’t be roundly criticized for the way he engages in it.  Once again, Mr. Fernandez has done little but enrage his fellow residents and harm his standing in the community and the cause he espouses.

Mind you that this nutcase, who is now complaining that his free speech rights are being trampled and that white supremacists and Nazis run the City of Manassas is the poster child of the local illegal alien lobby which has done journeyman’s work to try to explain to the public what a nice and misunderstood guy he is on blogs and video.  In his latest court action he tried to get out of having an injunction imposed as a result of his antics by claiming that he sold the property at the corner of Prince William and Liberty Streets, yet here he is again demonstrating on that property what a radical anti-American he is on July 4th, of all days.

That correspondence course in Public Relations from the Ghengis Khan School of Marauding is paying off handsomely for Mr. Fernandez, isn’t it?

This is the mentality of the folks that oppose any effort to control our borders and ensure the Rule of Law who are bitterly complaining about what Arizona has been forced to do, what Prince William County has been forced to do, and what Virginia is really forced to do but hasn’t yet done.  Everyone who doesn’t actually celebrate millions of illegal aliens crossing our borders, depressing wages in the construction and service trades, putting huge burdens on our public services, schools and hospitals is nothing but a white supremacist member of the Nazi Party.  You’d think that if they tried this garbage in the countries from which they came, they’d end up with a bullet in their head.  Instead, they come to our communities act like a bunch of spoiled five year olds, and then call us — the ones footing all the bills — a bunch of racists while they stand behind fences and demand everyone else respect their civil and property rights.

Meanwhile Fernandez associates with a group that calls for the ethnic cleansing of North America to remove all “non-indigenous” people to Europe at the point of a gun if necessary, and another group that engaged in an armed insurrection in Mexico that espouses Marxist and Anarchist philosophies.  Yeah, that makes sense, but only in Hugo Chavez’s world.

He can eventually learn how to exercise his rampant irresponsibility and hatred for America without running afoul of local zoning regulations one would imagine, but what he cannot do is rally the public to support his cause.  Gaudencio Fernandez is, and will ever be, inadvertently a person who demonstrates the need to secure our borders, tighten the requirements for legal immigration into this country, and strictly enforce all of our laws.

Make sure everyone you know sees Gaudencio Fernandez’s latest public ravings.  After they’ve seen it, make sure they sign up to support the Virginia Rule of Law Campaign.

Some more photos from Gaudencio Fernandez’s latest outrage. Note that the two banners both exceed the size limitations under the zoning ordinance. I wonder if City Attorney Larry Hughes will do something about this this time…

If the signs are too big then he needs to be cited for violations once again. We follow the laws here. What’s so hard to understand about that? Now if we could only get the police to clean up the day laborers at Coverstone.

Fernandez is the perfect example that it takes more than some documents that state you are legally allowed to reside in this country in order to be considered an American. When he displays one of the most hated symbols in our time, and directly infers that our city, county, and the state of Arizona are one and the same, then he has shown himself to be anything BUT an American! To do this on the day we celebrate one of the great American events makes it that much more obvious. In years past he may have had some consideration from the general public in terms of his message, but now he is nothing but hateful Mexican. Papers or no papers!

I wonder if his kids will get the same sympathies from their classmates like they did several years ago?

He’s pissed because he wasn’t allowed to construct the equivalent of the Berlin wall around his property, and then cover it with the same hate messages year round. Thank God Manassas showed a little backbone on that one!

This Fernandez is like “useful idiot” that Lenin talked about. He supposed to help undermine democracy so communist revolution come sooner and easier.

Yellow caution tape in front of property make Boris laugh. That supposed to make Americans respect his border for property? Fernandez want border of his property protected but wants border of America wide open. So typical of crazy communist thinking.

Too bad we don’t have Lakota Sioux or Comanche Indians around to hit him with a civil suit for defaming their symbol….

This boy is a little off in his City history - granted, 100 years ago the Town of Manassas in its corporate limits did not have an ordinance about signs and speech, but back then, what he is doing was called a “nuisance”. The Year 1900 has this to say:

“V – All nuisances within the Corporate limits shall be removed or abated at the expense of the person creating the same and the said person creating the said nuisance shall be fined not less than fifty cents nor more than $20.00″

Hopefully, his fine will be a heck of a lot more that 20 bucks by a couple of extra zeros. Maybe Bob Bendall, oh City Attorney, already had his phone ring off the hook from City Manager Hughes.

Based on the symbol Ferandez used in his latest banner, he seems to feel there is a Buddhist backed movement in Prince William County and Arizona.

Perhaps someone will inform him that the Nazi Hakenkreuze is distinctly different from the one he represents. Than again, he may be saving that one as it correctly represents the anti American socialist movement which backs him and his La Raze cohorts.

This a a great example, again, of people like him who SUPPORT, APPROVE and DEFEND all the illegal’s who commit crimes against ALL people in this community and the entire United States. Our law here, the 287g program, is strictly for criminals, not against free speech.

The sooner the government finally wakes up and starts seriously fining employers of illegal’s, really securing our borders, engaging criminal activity that crosses the borders with real force and protecting the good CITIZENS of the United States, the better off we will become.

If he wants his signs, so what. He and his ilk only show their ignorance and build our resolve to protect our values, our heritage and our country. This is an invasion and, for the most part in both parties, our government officials have completely ignored both their sworn duties and the laws of the land.

Arizona, Manassas and Prince William County, by their own words, are Lexington and Concord- again. If it is war they want, then let it begin here.

Just mess with this guy psychologically. Maybe get some of our teenagers to slowly roll past his house thumping out some Barry Manilow tunes. Or cover his signs with other signs saying things like “I was An Ass, Sorry!”, or “I Should Be On Medication!”

For a matter of information I came across this.MANASSAS, Va.—Alejandra Alvarez said free food deliveries from the Capital Area Food Bank help her feed her family of seven.

“They help a lot because groceries are expensive,” Alvarez said Wednesday when she picked up bagels and fruit at 9500 Liberty St. in Manassas.

Local activist Gaudencio Fernandez works with the Washington-based charity to bring food to his property at the intersection of Liberty and Prince William streets, and then he gives it away.

Fernandez gets the food every two weeks, and participation seems to be growing.

“The first time we got 85 families. The second time we got 92,” said Fernandez, who first gained attention across the region a couple of years ago for placing several oversized signs on his property that protested Prince William County’s illegal-immigration resolution.

Since then, Fernandez has clashed with city officials over other protest signs he’s placed on his property that have run afoul of city ordinances.

But, business was brisk Wednesday as people picked up food during the third giveaway Fernandez arranged.

To facilitate a quick food delivery of perishable items, Fernandez takes down names and numbers of the people who visit his impromptu operation.

The food bank doesn’t necessarily get food for the Manassas area on a given day, Fernandez said, and delivery isn’t predictable.

“We might get it on Wednesday. We might get it on Thursday,” he said.

Another way Fernandez said he gets the word out is by going to area neighborhoods and handing out fliers telling people to show up at Liberty Street.

Food available at a given time could include watermelons, apples, bread, cake, and milk, depending on what the food bank has in stock when Fernandez is ready for delivery

“I reach everybody. I don’t just reach Spanish people. I go to all communities and pass out these fliers and invite everybody. Everybody is welcome to come,” he said.

Alvarez said she is thankful that Fernandez organizes the food drop-off.

“I appreciate that they come and help,” she said. “We like this kind of stuff.”

Wonder what the Law is with Fernandez handing out Food on his lot? Does he have to have a Permit? License?Hope someone calls Manassas. What a mess! And dear Alveraze is right there to get all the free food for her and her family of seven.
Does she work outside the home earning money?Maybe she’s to busy at home with all the family to take of and can’t go to work.
Must be nice to swoop down on the free stuff.
Must think everything is free here.

I also think Katherine and her voice on immigrants is again saying the wrong thing. It is not immigrants that all the people are concerned about,It’s the Illegal Aliens.
No one asked them to come here. It is breaking the Law to cross the Border,so they are Illegal and breaking the Law. Nothing will change that,it will always be part of History that they broke the Laws.

    Planned demonstration fizzles

    By Keith Walker
    Published: July 8, 2010http://www2.insidenova.com/isn/news/local/article/planned_demonstration_fizzles/60360/

Gaudencio Fernandez recently put some demands on city officials and then didn’t show up for a demonstration he said he had scheduled for the Fourth of July.
Fernandez, who regularly runs up against city ordinances with the signs he places at his property at 9500 Liberty Street in Old Town, recently told city officials that he was going to stage a march through town on Independence Day.
In a letter dated June 29 and received at the city clerk’s office on June 30, Fernandez said he planned for 600 to 900 people to join the march between noon and 3 p.m.
City ordinance requires that groups gathering in town provide a security plan for the event. The city suggests that groups purchase insurance since the city won’t be held responsible if someone gets hurt.
Fernandez stated in the letter that he would have 20 people to provide security, but that his group didn’t have the money to hire a professional security agency or buy insurance for the event.
“We demand the city of Manassas provide the security needed for this event to guaranty (sic) our safety and safety of others. It is the responsibility of the city of Manassas,
Va. to guarantee our freedom of speech and safety throwout(sic) this event,” Fernandez wrote in the letter. “The purpose of this march is to express our guaranteed constitutional rights as Native Americans, and we are looking for our opinions to be heard.”
In another letter dated the same day, Fernandez stated that he would also need a permit for a sound system so he could show the movie “9500 Liberty Street” at his property during an event that was to last between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.
He said he also had music and speeches planned for the day.
“We will conform with the standards permitted by code on noise regulations,” Fernandez wrote in the letter.
Manassas Police Chief, Douglas W. Keen, responded to Fernandez’s June 30 letters on July 1, saying that the city would waive the $100 fee to review Fernandez’s security plan.
Keen’s letter went on to say that marching between noon and 3 p.m. wasn’t feasible because of previously scheduled Independence Day celebrations, including evening fireworks, in Old Town Manassas.
Keen authorized the march between 8:30 a.m. and noon along Center Street, Grant Avenue, Liberty Street, Liberia Avenue and Centreville and Wellington roads.
In answer to a previous request dated May 16, Keen offered Fernandez opportunities to hold his march between 3 and 7 p.m. on July 3 or July 5.
Keen did not grant Fernandez’s request for a sound system, saying that was at the discretion of the City Council.
Keen wrote to Fernandez that the council would meet only once before the requested demonstration date and that left no time for city staff or council members to review the request.
“Your permit request does not provide sufficient information for staff to recommend approval, nor does it propose any conditions to minimize the public detriment caused by such exceptions,” Keen wrote in the letter.
Keen also denied Fernandez’s petition because there wouldn’t be parking for 600 to 900 people given the crowds expected for the Fourth of July celebrations.
In the end, Fernandez and the demonstrators never showed up, said City Manager Lawrence D. Hughes.
The cost to have police officers man the intersections where the demonstrators would march hadn’t yet been calculated, Hughes said.
“We spent a lot of time and had a lot of extra resources committed to being prepared and then nothing happened,” Hughes said. “We spent a lot of time preparing for what he said he was going to do.”
Fernandez said he couldn’t reorganize the march during the hours Keen allowed.
“Mainly I was unable to comply with all of those requirements,” Fernandez said.

The church that I belong to has a food bank that is run from the church and we have recently planted a garden to supply fresh vegetables to the food bank. No coverage on that - also minimal coverage on the event that was done in May (I believe) when multiple local groups came in from across the East Coast to clean up GTS because their residents couldn’t be bothered. Same thing when HSM would go and clean graffiti in order to keep neighborhoods and parks clean - zero coverage.

The paper is a joke - the reporting is consistently wrong (names, dates, locations - always wrong). Half the time the information is reported incorrectly.

Freedom of speech is one thing - consistently calling leaders of the community racists, accusing them of ethnic cleansing and comparing them to Nazi’s is not freedom of speech, it’s slander.

Cynic, you are absolutely correct with your above statement. I happened to live in Spain during the last weeks of Franco’s life and a number of years after his demise. Crime in Spain during Franco’s regime was virtually non-existant. People knew the consequences of getting caught and spending time in a Spanish Prison. When King Juan Carlos was put on the throne, he touted “democracy” and then violent crime went “through the roof.” Home invasions in daylight hours escallated and robberies and muggings were common. There is something to be said of a “dictatorship”…..low crime rates.

Home invasions, were there car jackings also? Of course, nothing like this ever occurs here.

    Spanish Civil War - 1936-39:
Once read some writings by a Republican (Spanish Opposition to the Generalissimo) that mentioned how severe and harsh the Nationalists of the Generalissimo treated the Republican, but as severe and harsh as it was, it did not measure up to the more harsh and severe treatment meted out by the Republicans against the Nationalists.

Ah, yes, freedom. The freedom to walk down the street without being mugged, the freedom from fear of your home being invaded. And should you have the guts to stand up against home/property invaders and thwart them by using force - in self defense, you will be arrested - arrest is guaranteed if the invaders are illegals - and then thrown in jail. In this case, what most likely will transpire next is that the left wing Hate Groups like the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Legal Center will provide legal services to these two parasitic pieces of Waste Matter. Of course, the tax payers will be billed exorbitant fees for these legal services.

The First Amendment does NOT exclude being “offensive”. It protects speech. Like the leader of the New Black Panthers who advocates killing crackers and white babies - PROTECTED - just like someone saying that all babies should be cuddled and loved. The First Amendment makes no distinction. Doesn’t matter if we all agree or all disagree with the speech.

Fernandez may want to SERIOUSLY rethink his choice of PR imagery….

    Farrakhan Demands Reparations From Jews

Prominent anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan has sent a menacing letter to prominent Jewish leaders, in which he refers to

an undeniable record of Jewish anti-Black behavior, starting with the horror of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, plantation slavery, Jim Crow, sharecropping, the labor movement of the North and South, the unions and the misuse of our people that continues to this very moment.
Whatever can Jews do to appease black wrath in the face of these monstrous if imaginary sins? Cough up reparations — or as Calypso Louie puts it,

This is an offer asking you and the gentiles whom you influence to help me in the repair of my people from the damage that has been done by your ancestors to mine.
What if Jews don’t feel guilty enough to comply?

[S]hould you choose to make our struggle to our people more difficult, then I respectfully warn you … that the more you fight and oppose me rather than help me to lift my people from their degraded state, Allah (God) and His Messiah will bring you and your people to disgrace and ruin and destroy your power and influence here and throughout the world.
    As Morton Klein points out,

Louis Farrakhan’s letter is not only vicious anti-Semitic nonsense but deliberately threatening. Basically, he is saying that unless American Jews cooperate with whatever scheme of “helping” his movement that he may have in mind, Jews everywhere will be endangered. This is a veiled call for violence against Jews. As such, it deserves to be repudiated and condemned. Who better … to do that than a black president who has spoken about healing racial divides, including that between Jews and African-Americans, and reducing the anti-Semitism that comes from some sectors of the African-American community?
Here’s why Obama is not such a good choice: he and Farrakhan are two peas in a pod, closely linked by Obama’s spiritual mentors over a period of decades, Jeremiah Wright and Michael Pfleger. Obama helped organize Farrakhan’s ballyhooed Million Man March spectacle. He also shares Farrakhan’s religion. The noxious blend of black supremacism and collectivist authoritarianism known as Black Liberation Theology is adorned with Protestant trappings by Wright, Catholic trappings by Pfleger, and Muslim/fascist trappings by Farrakhan, but it is all one ideology. This is why Farrakhan called Obama “the Messiah,” and why Wright’s church granted Farrakhan a lifetime achievement award.

    Fernandez sez…

“It is the responsibility of the city of Manassas,
Va. to guarantee our freedom of speech and safety throwout(sic) this event,” Fernandez wrote in the letter. “The purpose of this march is to express our guaranteed constitutional rights as Native Americans, and we are looking for our opinions to be heard.”

I would recommend Fernandez to contact a Mr. Eric Holder, justice department big wig from down in D.C. as his request, based on what Mr. Holder has been saying recently, is tied into the constitution and there fore it is entirely a federal responsibility to guarantee Fernandez “rights”.

I’m afraid about all the good citizens of Manassas might come up with for him is a ride out of town on a fence post.

I could be wrong but as that is not explicitly mentioned in the Constitution perhaps it could be accomplished without much federal interference.
