The choices that some Democrats make are just beyond understanding. Take for instance Senator George Barker, or perhaps even 1st Congressional District hopeful Krystal Ball. You’d think a Senator who has been voting quite a bit to the left of Senate Majority Leader Dick Saslaw wouldn’t further inflame a district that voted overwhelmingly for the Marriage Amendment by employing a legislative assistant who is now touting that he is “engaged” to another man and plans to take a trip to get “married” to Krystal Ball’s campaign manager. Ms. Ball demonstrates a pretty stunning disregard for the convictions of the constituents she hopes to represent by choosing this individual to represent her campaign to the public. But in today’s world, seeing Democrats display that they’re out of touch with the electorate is hardly unusual. Especially when we’re talking about Democrats in the United States Congress.
The bizarre story of Danny Barefoot, Krystal Ball’s campaign manager and one-time male model for gay-oriented publications, and his “fiancee” Sean Holihan, who serves as Senator George Barker’s legislative aid pretty much defies explanation. Rumors of Barefoot having a homosexual relationship with Congressman Glenn Nye while he was a student at VCU, of Barefoot falsifying documents to show references from Chelsea Clinton in order to get a job with Delegate (and senior member of the House Homosexual Caucus) Adam Ebbin, of them writing bad checks and spreading sexually-transmitted diseases has got to be entirely disqualifying employment issues for candidates and elected officials. Who would want to put their stamp of approval on folks like these and hire them to have the most senior positions on their staff?
After all, when candidates might want to discuss issues, do they really want instead to be answering questions about stuff like this instead?
It’s starting to look like the on-going saga on politicalincubus.com about Del. Adam Ebbin’s legislative aide, Danny Barefoot, concocting an affair with Glenn Nye to gain politic clout might have some merit. People are commenting that they knew Danny at VCU, and that “he used to talk all the time about how he hooked up with Congressman Nye during an internship/study program in DC.”
Seems odd that Barefoot would be telling people at school this if, as according to his boyfriend (Sean Holihan, LA to Sen. Barker), they only made up the affair to get Barefoot a job with Ebbin.
I’m beginning to suspect a cover-up.
Which would then mean that perhaps the ex of Holihan was really being threatened by Nye as shown in texts pictured on PI.
It just doesn’t sit well.
So if all that deeply disturbing commentary wasn’t already swirling around, these top staffers for Ball and Barker start announcing to friends that they’re going to take a trip out of state in order to get “married” and gushing all over facebook about it. I’ll bet that’s not going to help Krystal Ball’s campaign one bit in the conservative 1st Congressional District this November if for no other reason than how it demonstrates Krystal Ball’s stunningly bad judgment. As for George Barker, having seen his consistent pandering to the homosexual lobby in the past it doesn’t tell voters much they don’t already know, but I doubt he really benefits much by throwing gasoline on this already smoldering fire.
