this was indeed scary and PREVENTABLE. Was the principal at Osbourn unable to remove this pedophile from the proximity of kids when he was warned by parents of this degenerate's behavior? Did he have no options other than to permit the degenerate to stay in the classroom as a teacher? Of course there were options and the principal chose the easiest path for himself at the time which was to do nothing.

Greg, you make too much of a leap, my friend. Teeing up a ball for a 6 year old doesn't lead to "everyone is a winner". Go to your local Little League and watch the Majors division. This is the age group that forms all-star teams that play the Little League World Series. There is a winning team, and their is a losing team. They keep score. There's yelling and crying. There's none of this codling you rant about. Geez, get a grip.

And I still don't see the connection between baseball and child molestation. Why don't you go off on the Catholic Church instead. Talk about institutionalized molestation...

However, the insight into your traumatized childhood sandlot games, and the apparent a$$ kicking you must have gotten, is noted. Had I been playing there with you, I likely would have sent one high and tight when you were batting just to watch you pee your pants. Hell, when I pitched at 11 years old, and a kid would square around to bunt, I aimed at his Adam's Apple. That's how us little men in the 60's rolled. PLAY BALL!!!

Americans so have head in weeds not seeing what problem really is. Not bad thing to have good strong women raise young boys along with good strong father. Problem is to have boys raised by good strong woman and father also trying to be woman.

When no one teach new generation what competition is, everyone eventually get silly idea that point of competition is that everyone win. No one learn value of hard work and effort, just do minimal thing to qualify for minimum benefit given to people under socialism since winning mean nothing anyways. Everyone get good at learning how to play game that system becomes, no one get very good at winning by themselves, being independent winner.

Pedophile and criminals work well in such a system. Always a way to make system of controlling people not work so good, and they find that way. If no one being controlled by system, very very hard to find way to corrupt whole process.

Liberals all about control of people, then seem surprised criminals take over.

A generation of men raised by women is as it should be. A generation of men raised by man-hating feminazi's is what I think is at issue. This issue of the gay/pedophile teacher is another thing all together. When we as a society permit groups like NAMBLA to exist on the grounds of "fr ee expression", then we have to deal with this fallout. When we let the teacher's union have so much sway, this is what we get.

"We’re a generation of men raised by women. That fact has got to have some long term effects on our culture."

I agree with Tillie: which generation was NOT raised by women, as we are still the ones who birth and nurse all our children (boys and girls), and are still the primary caretakers even when we work outside the home?
And what long term effects are you speaking of? That because men were raised by women, those women raised their sons to lust after under-aged boys to the point of getting them drunk and raping them? That's a pretty poor chain of logic...

Failure to report sex abuse arises from the same culture that created T-ball? I don't think so, but I see your point. We're a generation of men raised by women. That fact has got to have some long term effects on our culture. Reporting suspicions in this day and age often leads to retaliation by the investigators against the reporter. That practice leads to a diminished workload for the investigators, but results in the Kevin Ricks of the world getting a pass.

Many years ago, in my little hometown in the Midwest, a respected teacher and coach was charged with sodomizing a student. The student's father shot and killed the teacher, a la Jack Ruby, as he was being transferred from the court room to the jail after arraingment. The jury convicted the father of some minor gun charge and acquitted him of all the felonies. The judge sentenced him to 90 days, suspended. That's justice.

When I was that age no one was propping up balls on a tee for me. You either learned to hit, or none of the bigger kids would let you play with them in the sandlot. And we always kept score.

Now we coddle kids to protect their self-esteem, see the practice of perversion equated to a civil right, demand equal outcomes instead of fostering competition, and require obedience to other politically-correct doctrines. That slow but deliberate undermining of our culture is killing us.

Here's an example: Not too long ago a teacher was escorted off the property at Stonewall Middle school and had his computer seized. He then actually ran for School Board in the Neabsco District. The authorities were terrified about bringing criminal charges against him because he was a member of a protected class, and the victims never saw justice done. You let stuff get to that level, and you're nearly encouraging the sexual abuse of children by authority figures in the school.

It's been a long road that lead us here. We just didn't see what was coming.

Geez, Greg, did ya have money on the Nats? Roger on the pedophiles in the schools, but didn't quite understand the rant on T-Ball. (They put the ball on the tee because none of those booger-eaters can hit a moving ball, much less throw it across the plate, at that age Casey!)
