Drunken Illegal Alien Kills Nun

The Manassas News and Messenger is reporting that Carlos A. Martinelly Montano, the individual who killed a Benedictine Nun going to Church yesterday morning is, as some suspected, an illegal alien. What no one would have expected is that this was an illegal alien in possession of a drivers license in 2008, which shouldn’t have happened, with two prior convictions for DWI, which shouldn’t be possible, and reportedly out on bail, which under Virginia law shouldn’t be permitted.
There are quite a few state and federal officials who have a LOT of explaining to do here. Citizens deserve some answers here, and absolutely deserve to have a solution for this kind of problem.
UPDATE: I’ve learned that PWC identified this guy as an illegal alien at both of his previous arrests and turned this guy over to ICE after he served whatever time he had to serve. ICE released him both times. Washington Times confirms. Stay tuned for more updates…

Virginia Attorney General Rules Police Can Check Immigration Status
In a decision that could lay the groundwork for an Arizona-style immigration policy, Virginia’s attorney general said state law enforcement officers are allowed to check the immigration status of anyone “stopped or arrested.” Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli issued the legal opinion Friday extending that authority to Virginia police in response to an inquiry over whether his state could mirror the policies passed into law in Arizona.
“It is my opinion that Virginia law enforcement officers, including conservation officers may, like Arizona police officers, inquire into the immigration status of persons stopped or arrested,” he wrote.
The decision comes after a federal judge blocked Arizona from implementing its provision that would require law enforcement to check the immigration status of anyone they stop and suspect of being an illegal immigrant.
Cuccinelli’s ruling could justify that kind of policy in Virginia. However, Cuccinelli reiterated in the opinion a prior finding that while state officers have the authority to arrest suspects on criminal immigration violations, they are advised against arresting over civil immigration violations. Overstaying a visa would fall under the latter category…

Everyone needs to write your congressman about this illegal and ask them to find out why he was released on bail. I wrote Wolf. We need to put the pressure on the government and find out why, it doesn’t matter if this was Bush or Obama administration, they screwed up and now a person is dead and others are fighting for their lives when the idiot should be back in his country of origin instead of killing folks in our county.

On July 30th at 6:58PM, police responded to the 13900 block of Jefferson Davis Hwy in Woodbridge for a fight. The victim, a 26 year old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he was involved in a physical altercation with the accused, a known acquaintance. The arrested pulled out a box cutter and cut the victim. The victim sustained ion-life threatening injuries to his face and chest and was transported to an area hospital.

Burglary with Intent to Assault
On August 1st at 2:21AM, police responded to the 1600 block of Florida Ave in Woodbridge for a domestic call. The victim, a 41 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she was confronted by a known male acquaintance who brandished a machete in front of a residence in the area above. The victim ran to the residence. The male acquaintance entered the residence through a rear door in an attempt to find the victim. The man was forced out of the house by other residents.

Illegal Immigrant Who Killed Nun In Accident Was Released By Feds
The man suspected of drunken driving and killing a Catholic nun in Prince William County this weekend is an illegal immigrant who was awaiting deportation and who federal immigration authorities had released pending further proceedings, police said Monday.
The man, Carlos Montano, a county resident, had been arrested by police twice before on drunk-driving charges, and on at least one of those occasions county police reported him to federal authorities.
“We have determined that he is in the country illegally. He has been arrested by Prince William County Police in the past,” said Officer Jonathan Perok, a police spokesman, who said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was notified at the time of one of those arrests.
Officer Perock said Montano was in deportation proceedings at the time of this weekend’s killing, but was out on his own recognizance.
A call to ICE was not immediately returned, but the incident raises questions about the agency’s policy of only detaining some illegal immigrants awaiting deportation, while releasing others.

FAN-FRAKIN-TASTIC. After TWO other DWI’s, and in the middle of deportation proceedings, the Feds decided to let this drunk driving invader have another shot on our highways.
Call your delegate. Ask him why illegals can renew their driver’s licenses.
Ask him why the Virginia government is not protecting us.
Tell him this will no longer be tolerated.
November is right around the corner.
If we can do a roadblocks to stop citizens, demand ID, and force them to breath into a tube (self-incrimination), why can’t we do roadblocks to check for legal drivers license or perhaps even more directly proof of legal residence? Both are public safety issues. Both involve looking for people breaking the law. Both would contribute to a reduction of illegal activity. Someone else mist have nought if this… Carrying this further, cops tend to spot-check outside places where alcohol is served… Why not set up a checkpoint outside a Global Market or QMart?
Actually, this sounds xo obvious… And the sobriety checkpoints establish the precedence.
This guy would have never even been in the county had Deane enforced the PWC resolution as he was required to do yet somehow decided that he would refuse without consequence. Instead, Deane chooses to side with the likes of MWB and other communist groups to coddle and protect imbeciles like this and make them feel welcome here in PWC where they end up committing heinous crimes like this. The feds aren’t the only ones that need to answer some very serious questions right now. Just my 2c.

As I have brought up in every event involving illegal’s who kill or harm innocent people, even other illegal’s, where are all the illegal supporters maniacal cries for “justice”?
On Sunday morning, a beautiful Sunday morning, 3 aging nuns got into a car to attend services. These same women dedicated their lives to God and prayer, to peace and healing. Yet, someone who didn’t care about their lives who should not have been here, killed one and severely injured the other two.
No article I have read to this point gave the condition of the drunken fool who had no regard for life.
This piece of crap is not the first drunk to kill innocent people but he had no purpose, reason or legal status to be here. DEPORT THEM ALL!!!

I have also written to Congressman Wolf to express my outrage and hope that he will look into why this illegal immigrant could have been released after his first dui, and to act on behalf of Manassas citizens to see that this doesn’t happen again… as I won’t support candidates who turn a blind eye to illegal immigration and all its ill consequences.
I wondered when someone here would blame Chief Deane. Chief Deane has nothing to do with a magistrate or judge does when it comes to bail. An officer makes the arrest and it’s no longer in their hands. No police, to include Deane, plays any role in what this illegal did. Get your facts right.

Someone has posted this news story there and the typical liberal denizens of reddit are trying to make it disappear. We need folks from here to join reddit and upvote stories like this so the more people hear about them and can no longer deny the damage illegals are causing.

And what is the immigration policy the Arlington County politicians dictate to the Arlington PD brass , who in turn direct its officers to carry out? Shield illegal aliens from having to account for breaking immigration laws.
Far too many police departments across this great nation are following the corrupt demands of politicians. Far too many top brass are in the pockets of politicians who demand a don’t ask don’t tell hands off policy for this select group of criminals.
