not gonna be much of a debate…old gerry should start packing up his office because it’s going to be occupied by someone else after the election. he’s such a waste of space, the detritus in my toilet can do a better job.

Has any reliable polling been done recently in the 11th? Not selectively released internals designed to drive a narrative. Real, objective polling. Something that might give a clue where this race is.

It looks like the 2nd and 5th are going to flip. The 9th clearly isn’t. The 11th is interesting but I am just not feeling it. And with the absence of polling it is hard to get a handle on it.

Despite the cockiness of the comment by elvis I don’t think there is cause for Republican glee in the 11th. We have a weak candidate and it would appear Connolly the toad is going to get another term. If we don’t find a better candidate in 2012 Connolly might hold this seat as long as Davis did.

I look forward to seeing Gerry Connolly answering for his actions against his constitutes.

Fimian was off his game tonight. He struck out on a few slow ball pitches that should have been home runs. Very disappointing.

Do you support taxing people on their employer-paid health care benefits? The correct answer:
“This is a date to remember: I actually agree with Gerry Connolly. I’m glad to see he opposes this potential new tax on the American work force. Of course, a stopped clock is still right twice a day. The difference between me and Connolly is I’m not beholden to Nancy Pelosi when it comes time to vote on the floor.”

And when Fimian had the opportunity to ask Gerry a question, he blew it. The question should have been:
“How could you in good conscience vote for that monstrosity of a health care bill when you hadn’t even read it? How could you claim it was deficit neutral when everyone knew that was a lie? How could you vote for that as a fiscal moderate? It appears first and foremost that you are at Nancy Pelosi’s beck and call.”

Let’s not even talk about DC statehood… They can move?? Lousy answer, Keith.

How about, “I wouldn’t support the legislation that COnnolly supported because it’s unconstitutional. For DC to get voting rights in Congress, they need to become a state. The constitution outlines that process. I would support that process.”

Anyway, I’ll still vote for the guy. But after tonight’s debate I’m worried. Connolly came off as personable and, I hate to say it, polished in his responses.
