Next Time, Just Stay Home

I guess it takes wackos like Westboro Baptist Church to make Unity In The Community appear mainstream.  Thanks a lot, you nonsense-spewing, fatally-confused Biblical non-scholars.  Nothing makes the homesexual lobby appear more reasonable than you folks darkening our doorstep and acting like complete and utter idiots.  You manage to make any left-wing fringe group look positively appealing when they have the chance to be compared to you.

Self-defeating doesn’t even begin to describe these morons.

I have been wondering where these clowns get the money to travel all the time. Do they have day jobs?

By the way, these poor losers just got slashed tires.

There were just five of them, according to the N&M. I think that says they are having trouble getting their followers to turn out. The response from our community was awesome… showcasing how silly these folks’ message is. It has no power because it is so off-the-charts wierd and silly.

The WBC isn’t really a church, in the traditional sense. It’s more of a clan. Most of the members are from his extended family. Phelps, the “pastor” is ordained in the Southern Baptist convention, but the WBC claims alignment with the Primitive Baptist Convention. Both the SBC and PBC have rejected the WBC. Phelps is a disbarred lawyer. He was once a civil rights lawyer who challenged Kansasan “Jim Crow” laws. He was disbarred after being convicted of perjury, falsifying documents in a civil vendetta against a court reporter. He’s also run for office 5 times, seeking the Democrat nomination in various primary contests.

This profile is telling. He seems like a very confused and angry man.

I just heard on the news that the WBC tried to get their slashed tires fixed at the local repair places, no one would fix them…..

They should consider themselves lucky to get away with just their tires being slashed.

Saw the lawyer who argued the Supreme Court case on C-SPAN the day after the argument. She proves that not only can any idiot argue a case before the Supreme Court, but any idiot can win one (which she probably will, and should).

    Rather humbling.

What I found particular digusting about them is that they cheer the spineless shooter who’s been taking pot shots at the Pentagon, the Marine Corps Museum and our local Coast Guard Recruiting Station. Does anyone seriously think that this is what Jesus wants?

This “group” is a right wing fundamentalist group, stunned that you don’t embrace them.
