He left out that an illegal alien murdered his own infant child in Manassas several months ago. I agree with everything he says, and you can tell that the politicians get it when it happens in their own backyard. By my count, 5 of the last 6 murders in Manassas were committed by illegal aliens, and that is since the October-November time frame. We saw this same trend before the resolution was passed, and it is clear to me that the criminal alien population feels safe here and has come flooding back.
What should scare people is that this illegal who killed those 3 people was a member of the El Salvadoran military. That means he knew how to kill, and quite honestly probably had plenty of practice at it in his home country. How many more unknown murders are in out midst? How many more people who would be convicted of war crimes if their real identities were known do we have lurking in our communities? When anyone of any volition can come in as they please, atrocities like this will continue.

Jackson Miller really hit the nail on the head here. Wow, I can’t believe an illegal alien who was arrested for several violent offenses was allowed to roam our streets until he finally teaches us what we should have known all along: criminal illegal aliens represent a very pressing and serious threat to our community.

Kudos to Jackson for speaking up to this issue. If it takes a tragedy to open our eyes to the scourge of criminal illegal aliens, then let us vow it never happens again.

Keep up the good work representing us in the House of Delegates! Maybe one day we can see you take your fight to a higher level. We know that many in state (and of course, Federal) government are more than willing to abdicate their responsibility to enforce the laws of this country because of politics. It is refreshing to see someone who is willing to tell the truth on this matter.

The debate about illegal immigration reminds me of the famous George Orwell quote: “In times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.”

Well, Jackson Miller, continue to speak tell the truth, and we will join you!

Jackson, that was a fair and honest speech. I like and respect the distinction you made between legal and illegal immigrants. Please keep making that important distinction. It strengthens your argument.

There’s this phrase we often use in tort law, “res ipsa loquitur.” Its literal translation is, “the thing speaks for itself.” When nearly all of the murders this year in Manassas were apparently committed by illegal aliens, the conclusion is inescapable. Indeed, the thing speaks for itself.

Great speech. Is this guy hispanic? I love the hispanic accent he rolls off when naming all those latino victims of crime.

The City Council is getting their clocks cleaned at citizens time.

    They still seem aloof.

Shit can Hughes and the City Attorney and park a school trailer right in the middle of GTS and staff it with the police and deputy sheriffs.

I’m sure Corey Stewart can locate a school trailer the city can borrow.

    f I could leave tomorrow, I would.
I too, was up that night, begging my husband to leave this place. In reality, after all of the glowing reports about Manassas, our city schools (thanks to POPE), illegal aliens, and the gang activity, who in their right mind would WANT to live here?

I hear ya but I’m going to stay. I’m a town guy and we’re not moving. It’s just too darn easy to give up and move to the burbs and I’m not going to do it. I’m going to stick with guys like Harrover, Aveni, Miller and others who want to make it better right here. I’m not going to tuck my tail and run but I understand the thinking of those who do so. It’s just not me.

Give it your best shot Andy, Marc, Jackson, et al. Lots of us are not running anywhere.

    R-

What do you say when we have been before the council and our state legislators year after year and nothing changes?

Many citizens went before our council asking and even demanding that something be done right after the young boy was murdered. That was three months ago. It took three more murders to move this council into action and to me that is unacceptable.

Even tonight we heard all about the Federal government failing us. Well yeah, most of have known this for years! NO MORE!!!!!!!

Implement PWC’s resolution in the city now! Our local government needs to take action. And when the Federal government fails us again at least we tried.

Now in all fairness the council has come up with an action plan but I still ask why it wasn’t done months ago.

Thank you Jackson. I’m also proud that you admitted you could have done more years earlier. It takes a big person to admit that.

Now go give that speech in the Senate…. Where the real problem is!!!!!!!!

I support you. Now go give that speech in the Senate!!!!!! Where the real problem lies.

After building our home here over 25 years ago my wife has finally decided she has had enough. We no longer feel safe letting our grand kids play in the neighborhood parks and playgrounds or letting them go to the movies on a Saturday afternoon unescorted. We can not use the local convenience stores without fear of being harassed or possibly attacked. Just doing your shopping at the local malls have become risky at best. It is shameful what Prince William County and The State of Virginia have become. That law abiding citizens must live in fear because the local police departments place protecting criminals above enforcing the laws. Somethings just not right here.

    I completely agree with you.
This isn’t the first incidence of violence in the city committed by an illegal.
Where have our so called “leaders” been?
I was not thrilled with the council’s proposed action of “neighborly” feel good crap.
    I want REAL action!!!!!
I think an armed police trailer/substation smack dab in the middle of GTS would be a good start.
No more feel good meetings. No more taxpayer dollars for boys and girls club transportation. Do you really think a gang member is going to take advantage of a free bus ride to the B&G club? please!!!!
No more releasing ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIMINALS back into our community.
Lay a heavy fine on those hiring the illegals. Better yet, shut them down!
I could go on and on……

Who is the “bored” man to Mr Miller’s left? He should be replaced as soon as possible. He appears so aloof that he cant even pay attention to Mr Miller’s speech. It is obvious that the death of 3 Virginia citizens does not bother him in the least.

If these “people” are in the United States of America illegally, why o why are they allowed to live in the State of Virginia? Would it not make “COMMON SENSE” that if they are in the COUNTRY ILLEGALLY, they are in the STATE ILLEGALLY? Would this not be tatamount to saying a person is in Prince William County illegally, but we will allow them to live in the city of Manassas? What is wrong with the government? When did they lose all common sense? Why cant the local police arrest a person for being in this country illegally? It is a crime! Look this problem is deeper than we all can imagine and it is NOT just illegals from Latin America and South America. The number of illegal Middle East arabs entering through our southern borders is unknown. And if you think they are NOT infiltrating our country your are as nieve as they come! The next 9/11 attack will come from the inside.

Way to go, Jackson! Any elected official, especially in our area, who openly stands with the illegal apologist crowd (Nohe, Principi, Connolly, Puller, Deene, etc.) needs to be replaced ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many more lives are going to be needlessly lost before the point is made? Being here illegally is not WHY the murders have occurred, but if they weren’t here the victims would not be the victims!!! Not that tough of a concept to comprehend!

Remember, it was the Manassas City Council who got this debate started years ago with Jackson in the lead when they tried to address overcrowding. The city was sued for a ton of money and I believe they had to settle. That is probably one reason they are hesitant to do anything.

For those who don’t feel safe in Manassas: Get a gun, get the training to carry it concealed…..practice practice practice! After that, use your God given right to carry to protect yourself and your family. I have handled weapons since the late 1970’s and married a woman who used to be anti-gun before moving to Manassas. It only took an incident of harassment at a local 7-11 by illegals and having a Hispanic man expose himself to her coming out of church to change her mind on the subject.
I have now trained her myself over a few months and she will be formally applying for her concealed permit soon. I’m a big guy (6′2″ 315 lb former power lifter) so a lot of folks don’t mess with me, but for my wife and other females a concealed handgun with proper training is a great equalizer. I carry while walking my dogs in several of the local parks. MS13 elements like to hang out in some, but they never say a word or try anything when I walk right by them. I refuse to give in to thugs and punks and not be able to use those places that I pay taxes to use.

This should make every Manassas and Prince William resident angry. We have tried as a community to correct this problem and only an idiot could not see this coming. So what is the reaction of the pro-illegal left. That senile old bitch attacked the folks that expressed their frustrations and fears for attacking Manassas. Now that is crazy talk. Fix it. Get serious. Start by parking a Police Command vehicle in GTS and start doing overt checks on everybody. Do a drunk driving stop and check everything. I am all for Jackson Miller’s efforts, but folks let’s get serious, this is a local problem with local impacts and local solutions. The Feds and the State are not going to help - they can’t, they are now completely (politically) co-opted by the urban centers.
