On Attacking The Survivors Of A Tragedy

By Greg L | 15 February 2011 | Illegal Aliens, Crime, Blogs | 47 Comments

Defending illegal aliens must be a really difficult position to hold these days. After another massacre of innocent immigrants and natural-born citizens alike by an illegal alien, and the rape of an eight year old child by another illegal alien, following MS-13 attacks on schoolchildren committed by yet another illegal alien, finding a policy position opposing any state or local efforts to crack down on illegal aliens has to be really tough. Especially when all this happens within about a month. The evidence of a problem, one that can be tabulated by the number of graves dug and young lives shattered as a result of being sodomized with inanimate objects, is pretty hard to explain away.

I suppose that’s why resorting to hyperbolic screams of racism, “Jim Crow” and “Massive Resistance” comprise the vast majority of their angry rantings aimed directly at a community grieving the deaths of three innocent people. Ignore the evidence, just smear everyone who doesn’t casually dismiss murder and other violent crime as the price to be paid for “federalism” as a xenophobe, and stand on your high horse within your peaceful little rural community where it’s not your children who are getting sexually assaulted, and it’s not your seventy-seven year old grandmother who is getting attacked with a machete. Al Gore couldn’t possibly do it better, although he usually waits until the dead are actually buried before he attacks the survivors.

Not even a year ago something happened that might have jarred awake the atrophied logic synapses of those who might be amenable to observing reality rather than wandering around armed with little more than a superiority complex and a terrific set of blinders. An illegal alien was being given assistance by a Catholic charity organization after being ordered deported and who had racked up a pretty impressive record for driving while intoxicated in the meantime. One Sunday morning this very same illegal alien, once again driving drunk, crosses the median and slams head-on into a car taking nuns to Church. One of them is very seriously injured, and another one dies.

It might really cause someone of faith to wonder, at least for a moment, why God would allow such tragedy to happen and what we might learn about Him through this. It just might.

Apparently not for some who are so blinded by their conviction that everyone fed up with the effects of illegal immigration in their own community must inescapably be a racist thug who hates “brown” people. They already know everything. There’s no evidence that will soften their hardened hearts, no harrowing story of death and violence that will cause them to consider policy alternatives, no entirely avoidable tragedy that will shake them from their conviction that we should stay the course, no matter how many funerals we, but not they, have to attend. We see police rushing to the scene of yet another massacre. They watch their dog play in the yard.

When you’re a supervisor in some sleepy backwater county in Virginia where the murder rate is zero, and the sum total of all offenses including manslaughter, kidnapping, all sex offenses, robbery, stolen property, and prostitution are zero (or at least it was in 2007, when five of our eight murder victims died at the hand of an illegal alien), it is certainly understandable that you’d lack much perspective regarding violent crime, especially where illegal aliens are involved. Most folks recognize instances when they don’t have experience with a troubling issue, and try to learn what’s going on before they cast ignorant insults at people who just the previous day were holding candle light vigils for the dead and listening to their relatives talk about how they don’t want anyone else to die like their loved ones.

Mr. Kenney, insulting and belittling the survivors of this tragedy is beyond contemptible. You owe the residents of Manassas an apology.

If you count the MS13 murder, the illegal who killed his child and the current murders, 5 of the past 6 murders in Manassas going back only a few months have been committed by illegal aliens. How in the world does a town this size have such a murder rate and why do we allow these criminals to reside here?

Compared to the number of murders committed in all of Virginia, what is the percentage committed by illegals? Just curious.

Also, from the way I read it, Kenney’s comments were directed at Delegate Jackson Miller who took to the floor of the House of Delegates today and made comments that portray your community as if it’s in the midst of WWIII. They were a bit, shall we say, over the top.

No one is condoning the crime. No one is saying there isn’t an illegal immigrant problem. No one is trying to diminish the pain a community might be feeling right now.

However, using the deaths for political purposes and waiving the bloody shirt, is a bit unseemly.

Don’t give me this BS about Kenny attacking our Delegate. He’s attacking US. He’s been doing this for months now, and this hideous monster needs to stop. Hiding behind “he’s attacking only Jackson” is a bunch of garbage, and you know it. You should kick him off that crappy site of yours, too.

People are dying here, and we’ve been asking Jackson to help us. That’s what he’s doing. He’s representing us. We haven’t even buried our dead, and here’s Kenney ignorantly calling us a bunch of racists from his ivory tower in the country because we want to stop innocent people from getting killed.

Before you and your open borders cronies start cheerleading Kenny’s atrocious behavior next time, you might want to get the facts. In this community about half of the murders and about a third of all violent crime is related to illegal immigration. You want to be preyed on by illegal alien criminals, invite them to live in your community. You want us to continue to be targets for their violence, then screw you. We’re done dying for you so you can act like you’re all superior to us.

I can’t believe how crass you all are over there, Mr. Hoeft. How would you like it if we start cheering if there’s a mass murder a mile from your house?

    Mr. Hoeft,

Jackson was not over the top. I commend his courage for speaking the truth.

In fact, he could have spent at least an hour going through an enormous list of crimes committed by illegal aliens. One of our police officers was run over and left for dead by an illegal alien. He was caught because some brave motorists penned him in to prevent escape.

Just in my neigborhood there were three children raped by illegal aliens…not five minutes from my house.

I’m sick of it and so is everyone who lives here.

Mr. Kenney’s article was totally insensitive. You sir obviously do not have a clue.

You can take your comments along with Mr. Kenney’s and keep them to yourself. Have a nice quiet life in your rural part of the state.

Please tell Mr. Kenney and those that agree with him to not even think about running for a state wide office…it would be a waste of time.

    Mr. Hoeft:

The borders are not secure - for political purposes.

Illegal aliens, mainly from Mexico, El Sal, and Guatamala are allowed to stream into the United States unabated - for political purposes.

Certain cities, counties, and even states have become either de jure or de facto sanctuaries for illegal aliens - for political purposes.

Certain crimes committed by illegal aliens, or employers of illegal aliens, are not investigated or prosecuted - for political purposes.

Criminal illegal aliens are allowed to go free on the basis of a promise - for political purposes.

Don’t lecture us and our Representatives about the misuse and abuse of political purpose. We’re sick of political purposes. We’ve about had it with polical purposes.
We’re about to try something different.

If Mr. Kenney saw a mass murder happen a mile from his home, I’ll bet his diversity-loving heart would invite him to offer a homily to the perpetrator soon afterwards.

I’m sure relieved there are such great moral leaders out there they can’t feel any amount of passion and pain when touched by violent crime. Kenny and Michael Dukakis are true moral leaders who can dispassionately respond to the rape of a loved one with measured equanimity.

As Janet Napolitano would say, the system is working — by releasing hundreds of criminal aliens onto our streets:

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) failed to identify more than 800 criminal alien convicts eligible for deportation before they were released from U.S. prisons, including “many” of “the most egregious criminal aliens, who pose a significant pubic safety risk,” according to a report by the Inspector General for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
According to the report, released on Feb. 4, ICE’s Criminal Alien Program, or CAP, “is responsible for identifying criminal aliens incarcerated in federal, state, and local prisons and jails who are eligible for removal from the United States.”

In fiscal year 2009, CAP failed to identify 890 criminal aliens eligible for removal from the United States, according to the report. These criminals had been incarcerated in facilities in Texas and California and were released back into U.S. society.

A criminal alien eligible for removal is a person who is in the United States illegally and is subsequently convicted of a crime or was a legal permanent resident convicted of a removable offense, such as murder and other felonies.

It’s reassuring that even if sneaking into our country illegally is not grounds for removal, at least committing murder after you’ve done so technically is — provided ICE does its job.

“Many of the 890 criminals are believed to have been Level 1 recidivist criminals,” the report added. “Level 1 are the most egregious criminal aliens, who pose a significant pubic safety risk.” …

The audit blamed the “non-identification” of the 890 aliens specifically on ICE agent “staffing challenges” …

The main “staffing challenge” is that no agency is likely to be functional when those at the top of the bureaucratic pyramid have been selected by Comrade Obama, who obviously has no interest in keeping Democrat constituencies out of the country.

According to the report, ICE may have missed vetting some incarcerated criminal aliens eligible for removal because agents are not required to record aliens’ immigration status.

Without recording this information, ICE certainly won’t be deporting all deportable Reconquistadors. But then, with the border unsecured, they would just bounce back anyway. Because our rulers don’t want the border respected, the entire immigration bureaucracy is a sham, existing only so that the Obama Misadministration has a lame excuse to forbid states from enforcing the law.

(CNS News) — Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano released a budget document on Monday that indicates that the Department of Homeland Security does not intend to put a single additional mile of the U.S. border under “effective control” in either fiscal year 2011 or 2012.

According to Napolitano’s budget plan, the Border Patrol had 1,007 miles of the U.S. border under “effective control” at the end of fiscal year 2010, and DHS aims to stick with exactly that number through this year and next.

The 3311-page document released by Napolitano — “Congressional Budget Justification: FY 2012” — also says DHS does not intend to add a single additional Border Patrolmen in fiscal year 2012, after adding 859 this year. Nor, the document says, does DHS intend to deploy a single additional Border Patrol agent to either the U.S.-Mexico or U.S.-Canada border in fiscal year 2012, capping Border Patrol deployments at the two borders at this year’s level….

Someone who came here illegally, hence the term illegal alien, should be deported immediately. We do not know who these people are or what they are capable of doing. Yes, most of them come here for a better life but I am not willing to play Russain roulette with my family’s life or their safety and our elected officials have no right to spin that chamber unless I ask them too and I have not!!!

Email the members of the Virginia Senate Committee on Courts of Justice and tell them that these pieces of legislation are unnecessary and harmful to the Virginia community!

    Dear :

Last week, in a disappointing last-minute scramble, the Virginia House of Delegates voted to send a number of anti-immigrant bills to the Virginia Senate.  Among the many harmful bills are HB 2332 and HB 1465.

HB 2332 is an Arizona-style bill which would require all state and local law enforcement officers to question the citizenship of every person arrested, even before they have been put in jail.  We know the controversy this has caused in Arizona, giving the state a reputation of intolerance—not to mention the financial burden it has had on the state during a time of economic hardship.  And evidence shows that laws such as these actually make our communities less safe because immigrants become afraid of calling the police when crimes occur.

HB 1465 would require all public colleges and universities to issue written policies barring the enrollment of undocumented students.  Since when is depriving youth an education a viable immigration policy or a step toward economic recovery?  The Senate Committee on Courts of Justice is scheduled to vote on all of these bills tomorrow!

Email the members of the Virginia Senate Committee on Courts of Justice and tell them that these pieces of legislation are unnecessary and harmful to the Virginia community!

Tell them that anti-immigrant legislation has no place in Virginia and that neither of these bills provide a long-term solution to our state needs.  Urge them to vote against HB 2332 and HB 1465 and push the federal government to take up comprehensive immigration reform.

I am sooooo angry about the situation in the city I have called home for 25 years. The inaction of most of our elected officials and the coddling of illegals by the church, mexicans without borders, unity in the community all help to perpetuate this crime wave.

Like I’ve said before painting fences and sweeping the streets may mask the true nature of a community for awhile but zero tolerance and enforcing the laws will rid it of the crime.

The residents in GTS deserve better than what they are being given. They deserve a quiet, peaceful, crime free, illegal alien free neighborhood.

Less than half the U.S.-Mexico border secured: report
PHOENIX (Reuters) – Less than half of the United States’ porous southwest border with Mexico is under the operational control of the U.S. Border Patrol, a government watchdog reported on Tuesday.

The study by the Government Accountability Office said that the Border Patrol had achieved “varying levels of operational control” over just 873 miles, or 44 percent, of the nearly 2,000-mile border by the end of last year.

The report found that the number of miles under operational control increased an average of 126 miles per year from 2005 through 2010.

The GAO, which is the investigative arm of the U.S. Congress, noted that only 129 of those miles, or 15 percent, were classified as “controlled” — the highest level for detecting and arresting intruders.

President Barack Obama’s administration has been under intense pressure to beef up security on the southwest border to prevent raging drug cartel violence spilling over from Mexico and to stem an influx of illegal immigrants.

Of the nine Border Patrol sectors along the southwest border, only Yuma, in far western Arizona, had achieved complete operational control along its stretch of the border. The remaining sectors noted between 11 and 86 percent of their area under operational control .

The “Border Patrol attributed the uneven progress across sectors to multiple factors, including prioritizing resource deployment to sectors deemed to have greater risk from illegal activity,” the report said.

Of the 1,120 miles of the border where operational control had not been achieved, around two-thirds were classified as “monitored,” meaning that the Border Patrol had a high probability of detecting intrusions, although their ability to respond depended on the available resources.

Obama:So the bottom line is this: The southern border is more secure today than at any time in the past 20 years. Napolitano: The Border Is More Secure Than Ever
And crime is down in border states, too
MEXICO CITY — Two U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents were shot Tuesday afternoon, one fatally, in an apparent assault on a highway near the northern Mexican city of San Luis Potosi.

The agents were travelling in a sports utility vehicle when forced to a stop by suspected gangsters in other vehicles. The agents apparently were identifying themselves when the assailants opened fire with assault weapons.

“They were moving when they were cut off,” said Alonso Pena, the recently retired deputy chief of the immigration agency, who was informed of the details of the attack. “I think we will see an unprecedented response by the United States if it turns out to be a cold blooded murder of a U.S. federal agent.”

To all the weasels who continue to drop the word illegal from their discussion of illegal immigration and insist it is just racial profiling, they call it CRIMINAL profiling for a reason. And if the race, color, language or social habits fit the profile of the criminal, so be it. Speeding up the detection by narrowing the field is what profiling is all about.

Depriving ANY illegal anything but a free speedy ride to the border is the most effective policy in dealing with these people.

And to make it clear, A. Elena Lacayo and all like minded individuals can join them and plead their case in the quest for prosperity south of the border.

Why do otherwise intelligent and artuculate people deliberately ignore the big picture and whole story, and continue to pretend that everything is just fine and rosy, and that gee if we’d just lighten up, it would be perfectly OK that we have tens of millions of illegal aliens pouring through our so-called border, it would be perfectly OK that we are flooded with a fraction of one percent of the world’s population coming in illegally, it is perfectly OK that streets and parking lots are filling with quasi-slave laborers, it’s America, blah, blah, etc, etc, etc?

I have to believe it’s money that motivates this. Most public media, almost all of government, so many people are saying it, pretending that all is well, when it clearly is not… But it’s the government that really clinches it for me, because that body is completely unmoved by anything that isn’t money or votes.

The tens of millions have not meant many votes until recently, so that leaves only money as the motivator up until now. Money money money. Quasi-slave illegal labor is conveniently cheap for certain employers. They don’t pay the medical insurance - we do. They don’t put up with the overcrowded houses all around - we do. But they don’t, because they can live in better areas with the money they saved on the wages and health insurance that they didn’t have to pay to the quasi-slave laborers.

The same, I’m sure, goes for the politicians. They don’t have to live where the effects of this nonsense are. They can afford better housing, because they always somehow make the best investments, they somehow always have the best luck with everything, and it couldn’t be that somebody rigged the game for them, could it. Nooooooo…. but hey, they all want the border secured, and somehow they STILL didn’t get that done, almost ten years after 9/11. And besides, it wouldn’t look good to have multicultural protesters booing them at election time, would it. Nooooooo. So, it’s business as usual!

What can be done to break the flow of the money? We need a really, really good, Bernie Madoff kind of sting.

IRS Hires 81 New Workers to Enforce ObamaCare’s Tax on Tanning Salons: Cost to Taxpayers – $11.5 Million…

(US News)- The Internal Revenue Service says it will need an battalion of 1,054 new auditors and staffers and new facilities at a cost to taxpayers of more than $359 million in fiscal 2012 just to watch over the initial implementation of President Obama’s healthcare reforms. Among the new corps will be 81 workers assigned to make sure tanning salons pay a new 10 percent excise tax. Their cost: $11.5 million.

“The ACA [Affordable Care Act] will require additional resources to build new IT systems; modify existing tax processing systems; provide taxpayer outreach and assistance services; make enhancements to notices, collections, and case management systems to address and resolve taxpayer issues timely and accurately; and conduct focused examinations to encourage compliance,” said the newly released IRS budget.

In its request, the IRS explained that the tax changes associated with health reform are huge. “Implementation of the Affordable Care Act of 2010 presents a major challenge to the IRS. ACA represents the largest set of tax law changes in more than 20 years, with more than 40 provisions that amend the tax laws.”

The clerk at the Dollar City Plus at 13817 Foulgers Square told police that two men entered the store and pulled out handguns about 8:30 p.m. Friday, Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.

The men demanded money from the clerk, a 32-year-old Woodbridge woman, and ordered customers to get on the ground. The men took the clerk’s cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving the area, Perok said.

    No injuries were reported.

The men are both described as Hispanic and in their mid-20s.

One man was 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds with a medium build. He also had a Mohawk-style haircut. He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, a white shirt and a black hooded sweatshirt.

More than likely they will release these cuddly Hispanics back into our community so that they can continue to victimize.

Authorities are looking for three men who robbed a man in Woodbridge at knifepoint Sunday.
Police responded to a report of a robbery and assault in Woodbridge about 4:50 p.m., Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
The victim, an adult, told police that he was walking in the area of Fisher Avenue and Harrison Street when three men he didn’t know drove up to him in a gray Ford Expedition.
The men used a knife and a bat to attack the victim, police said. During the attack, one of the men slashed the victim’s face and stabbed him in the forearm.
The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries, Perok said.
All three men were described as Hispanic, between 23 and 24 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and with thin builds. They were all wearing dark clothing at the time of the attack.

    And another:

A Woodbridge man was arrested Saturday and charged with burglary.
Cesar Orlando Villanueva of 1790 Ivy Court is charged with burglary and destruction of property, Prince William County police spokesman Jonathan Perok said.
Police responded to the 18000 block of Purvis Drive in Triangle for report of a burglary in progress about 3:30 Saturday morning, Perok said.
Residents told police that the accused, someone they knew, attempted to enter the residence by breaking a window. The accused then fled the area in a vehicle, which was located by police near Summerland Drive and the Prince William County Parkway in Woodbridge.
The accused was taken into custody without further incident and was charged.
Villanueva, 23, was held without bond.

How much more of this are we going to have to take? The CIA woman who was killed by the drunk driver, the driver is not being identified. It is believed that he is Hispanic and in the country illegally according to people with info. If that turns out to be the truth, it will be another American murdered by the hands of the invader.

    MANASSAS, Va. —
A Manassas City Council measure to place a three-man police foot patrol in Georgetown South will start immediately, with overtime funds used to pay for the presence until budget actions allow for the hiring of new officers.

The foot patrol comes in response to last week’s triple murders in the community.

Monday evening, council members approved the resolution for the patrol, along with several other actions intended to create a safer community and provide youth with after-school options. A police spokesman said Tuesday the patrol wouldn’t go into effect until new officers were hired; Wednesday, a city press release stated otherwise.

“Community policing patrols were implemented immediately in Georgetown South by Police Chief Doug Keen and will be continued on an overtime basis until the newly authorized staffing is in place,” said City Manager Lawrence Hughes, in a written statement.

In the meantime Finance Committee members are looking at mid-year funds to hire three more police department officials: one full-time officer, one part-time community services specialist and one part-time property and evidence technician. The part-time jobs are civilian, and will enable the police to move two full-time existing officers into the Georgetown patrol duty.

There is a funeral today for Brenda Ashcraft, 56, and her William Ashcraft, 37, who were shot to death one week ago at their home in Georgetown South. Ashcraft’s girlfriend and her 15-year-old daughter were wounded in the attack. Julio Cesar Ulloa,48, was killed at his home on Brent Street nearby and a 77-year-old was injured.

Illegal immigrant Jose Oswaldo Reyes Alfaro, 38, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the killings.

“……one full-time officer, one part-time community services specialist and one part-time property and evidence technician.”

I would prefer that my tax dollars, i.e. city funds, be used to hire THREE FULL TIME POLICE officers, thank you.
WTH is a property and evidence technician????? Fancy title for someone, huh?

A property and evidence technician is one who is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring that evidence in a case is properly packaged, maintained, and handled correctly. If evidence is lost, destroyed, mishandled, or otherwise compromised, prosecution of crimes based on that evidence is impossible. It’s an extremely important position that requires a person dedicated to attention to detail and following procedures. Otherwise, the thugs the police risk their lives to bring in go free.

In addition to Mr. Duecaster’s comments, I’d also like to point out that by hiring the civillians part-time, it will put 3 fully trained, sworn law-enforcement officers back on the street, so the net-effect is the same, while the cost is less than it would be to just hire three additional officers.

Since my comments on Bearing Drift are now being blocked, I will address Mr. Brian W. Shoeneman on this blog.

Sir, illegal aliens are not entitled to the same benefits and protections as US citizens. Why do you suppose they go before an immigration judge (not sure of correct terminology) for deportation hearings? Also, those (non citizens) who are residing here legally can also be deported if they have committed a crime.

Mr. Shoenman, once again you prove that you and your ilk have no rational logical justification for your arguments. Also, your statement using the term dehumanizing is a question begging epithet.

I truly believe because I posted the link to a report of yet another illegal alien committing a crime that my comments are now blocked on Bearing Drift.

I guess they just can’t bear the truth. Mr. Kenney and Mr. Shoeneman and their supporters are all about perpetuating lies.

Mexicans and Hispanics sneak into this country because they have breed their selves out of living space the same way some insects and animals do and must migrate to find enough space and food to repeat the process!

They earn more here in a half day’s work than they do in a week at home. The water is cleaner, the medical care (which they get for FREE) is much better, they get low-cost (or free) housing, don’t pay taxes, drive without licenses and insurance, attend schools for free (with 2-3 daily meals included, courtesy of Uncle Sam), get welfare, food stamps, Slaughter approx. 25 American Citizens per day commit 10,s of thousands other crimes per year and to top it all off, we reward their criminal behavior by offering everything in their native language.

For all of this royal treatment, are they grateful? OF COURSE NOT. THEY’RE CONSTANTLY FURIOUS AT US and demanding More while turning this Nation into the same type of Cesspool they created in their own countries! You would think they are the Citizens because of their in your face demanding ways and legal American Citizens are the invading horde of Parasites!

We’ve given them the shirt off every taxpayer’s back, but they want MORE. When do legal American CITIZENS not have the right to get angry, without being called RACIST?

Maybe when they stop resorting to racially loaded attacks that will make the situation more explosive and throw more reinforcements to the very crooks and scoundrels who have created this humanitarian disaster for America’s Middle Class.
